In other words:
If you had to choose one real person to represent Bitcoin (in the public or in a debate against other crypto currency representatives), who should it be?

(It's clear that Bitcoin isn't led or represented by any single one person officially, which is what makes that question so hard to answer. It's also clear that this is feature, not a bug!)

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

On the top of my head, Andreas Antonopoulos. Dude has been teaching about Bitcoin pretty much since it's existence. Sure, there definitely are smarter cypherpunks out there, but one huge plus Andreas has is his passion with speaking and teaching; which makes learning from him much much more effective. He has already spoken in front of a senate in the past(Canada)[1]. I suggest giving it a watch if you're interested. (It's almost 2 hrs long)

Unfortunately it looks like Andreas really doesn't like attending debates. If he did, he'd definitely murder most(if not all) the skeptics.

Andreas Antonopoulos is my favorite public Bitcoin AMBASSADOR

He selflessly shares knowledge and spreads good words about Bitcoin
For noobs, I will recommend his Youtube channel as a MUST

If you don't believe it or don't get it, I don't have the time to try to convince you, sorry.

To date, I think it is difficult to single out one person, rather it is a group of people.

A group as in "the Bitcoin core devs" or multiple individuals who you deem have kinda equal weight?

I would tend to agree with Andreas Antonopoulos here. As he has been talking about bitcoin even prior to the huge pump we have seen in 2017. But this guy seems low key though, doesn't want to take attentions but he continue to move forward with his bitcoin lectures and been posting it in youtube. He even has a Q&A portion as far as I'm concern.

He's the only one of top of my head right now, there are others, but it's obvious that they have their own motive behind (like those Venture Capitalist individuals).

Andreas Antonopoulos is by far the best and most serious contender for the best Bitcoin Advocate prize. I wish I had listened to him more in the earlier days and bagged a few hundred  BTC when it was really really cheapo lol. Oh well, at least now I can collect satoshis from faucets again and hope MCAFEE'S prediction of a two million USD Bitcoin comes to pass in my lifetime lol. I do also believe Antonopoulos has done a much better job than Jihan Wu and Craig Wright who forked up BTC just for their own ends, otherwise BTC would have been worth over 50k USD I think by now, but those two did damage to the main Coin and took a big part of the market share. I hope more people will recognise Antonopoulos for his hard work in getting the name of Bitcoin out there.

Andreas Antonopoulos and Mike Novogratz either between the two will do just fine. But Mr. Antonopoulos is the prominent bitcoin speaker on so many different occasions. On the other hand, we have got Mr. Novogratz who is the biggest bitcoin bull on the planet followed by Arthur Hayes, and Tim Draper.

I would say Vitalik, although he's Ethereum founder and more to Ethereum than to Bitcoin, he's decent enough to speak about Bitcoin. He would be great at debating with his smart minds.

Also, influencer must be able to influence those who don't really understand about Bitcoin and not those who already knew so I think it is him.

Andreas has no influence whatsoever. He doesn't control anything. Most Bitcoin fans won't know who he is as many won't speak English. Plenty of English speakers never go anywhere near Youtube. He's very careful to never take a position on anything so clearly doesn't want any influence.

At this particular moment in time the person with the most potential influence over price, uptake and mining is probably Xi Jinping.

You're definitely not making it clear in your Thread title;)

Most influential person may not necessarily be the person I'd choose to represent Bitcoin in a public debate. Not that I'd even want anyone to represent it, even if Bitcoin were such a project (which as you point out, it's not!).

Reminds me of Times magazine person of the year some time ago, where it was a blank front cover, supposedly a mirror representing... "you".

We are the only person we rely on to represent what Bitcoin is to us, since only we can say how it matters to us and how we use it. The diversity in stories and use case is cause for celebration, and a true reflection of just how really, really different Bitcoin is compared to any other form of money (and yes, even compared to "rivals" in the same asset class!).

Nobody can ever replace the influence and the name Satoshi Nakamoto to be representing Bitcoin in any discourse and debates. The man knows everything about Bitcoin but since he is not here with us, I actually do not believe that there should be someone who should occupy this position of being ambassador for Bitcoin. Rather, just like the idea of decentralization, this is a community effort with many people contributing something no matter how little or how big for the welfare and further development of this cryptocurrency.

I have a deep respect and admiration for this man and if ever there is really that need to choose a very good, well-versed and professional ambassador it should be this guy. However, since I firmly believe that Bitcoin is a community effort and a technology to be safeguarded by a group of people with the same mindset, I am adding the names of  Gavin Andersen, Charles Lee, Nick Szabo and Brian Armstrong as possible candidates. Of course, these guys have their own sets of strengths and weaknesses so some people may or may not some of them.

This is a very interesting point as we're obviously biased towards English speaking influencers. I wouldn have no idea who (apart from the Xi Jinping) would be relevant on a global scale in languages other than English. From an English-speaking community point of view the rest of the world might seem irrelevant, but it probably excludes quite a lot of people.

This is subjective and can only be decided through some sort of election process if you ask me. Its like asking 'Who is the most powerful man/woman in the world?'. In my opinion, a team(Not a single person) who have in-depth knowledge of BTC and the blockchain would get my vote.

This is vital since majority of the world would probably debate against BTC which is why this would help even out the odds to some extent. People like Brian Armstrong, Chanpeng Zhao, Andreas Antonopoulos etc should be a part of such a team in my opinion.

Most of the preference were Andreas Antonopoulos. He has got great knowledge about bitcoin, and he himself serves as a consultant for most bitcoin related startups. What he got as gift in terms of bitcoin itself will describe the quality of his ability. He has received more than hundreds of bitcoin as gift from users around the globe. On some issues he might not have a solution, but his works on briefing about bitcoin is truly perfect.

Bitcoin community would benefit if Craig Wright will represent in a debate. He is influential, he speaks all time in any conferences, its just that no one asks him live about his claim. its a chance for him to really prove himself of what he is claiming and if he can't prove himself to be real satoshi in the debate, i guess we then had expose the impostor.

i'd be watching in disbelief if Xi Jinping speaks about BTC.

I'd say, Yifu Guo, the man behind the first Avalon ASIC miners. He may not have started it, but it fueled an arms race to have the fastest mining machines. I think it was only a few dozen or hundred gigahash back then, but it was more than any GPU could do. Then of course several months and several companies later, the current king would be Bitmain. I'd say quite influential because of his hardware.

Maybe Friedcat ...

But those are all guys in the past. If you're talking today or currently, then I'd say it would be the Core developers. It all depends on your definition of "influential".

If it's not just one single person, then it's all ten thousand people who run full nodes.

Yeah, this is really a question asking for opinions, not looking for a truth. It's really interesting which answers come up, as obviously metrics like "Twitter followers" aren't really representative (after all, people tweet about all kinds of things, not just Bitcoin).

The lack of a centralized power (even if it was a group of people) is one of Bitcoin's biggest strengths, but at the same time some might say it's one of its biggest weaknesses, as well.

How about actually doing a mock-vote, maybe using BTC stakes?

Definitely, Andreas Antonopoulos, he is the most famous bitcoin speaker all over the world - He is everywhere on YouTube trying to teach people how bitcoin works and why people should trust bitcoin. After Andreas Antonopoulos, we can add "Max Keiser" to the list for the real bitcoin believers for the last 10 years.

I choose me.

I don't mean, me Danny Hamilton, I mean we each should strive to be the most influential person in our own lives. To those who we work with, live with, and communicate with, we should work to be knowledgable enough to be the best representative of Bitcoin that we can be.

That being said, I'll also nominate me, Danny Hamilton, for your list  Grin (are we allowed to nominate ourselves)?

if you asked 5 years ago i would have said andreas, but he seems to b very core band campy more so then open bitcoin network where any dev has as much chance as any other to offer up the next bugfix/innovation for the network

if h went back to how he told things in the early days he would be more popular in many peoples eyes

these days. 'influencers' dont have a clue. they just promote brands just to get people to buy things

Andreas Antonopoulos, one hundred percent! He laid out everything on the shelves before Bitcoin became mainstream. He eventually abandoned his job as a freelance consultant and started speaking at conferences about bitcoin, consulting for startups, and writing articles free of charge.  This is dedication, a matter of respect.

Almost everyone agrees that Andreas Antonopoulos is the most influential figure in bitcoin. But I'm an additional person who
making bitcoin increasingly known throughout the world including Vitalik Buterin with his smart mind making breakthroughs
in the world crypto with his creation of ETH which is the strongest altcoins at the moment, John McAfee is also an influential
person with his prediction is quite controversial and lastly Changpeng Zhao founder of Exchanges binance amazed the crypto
world his enthusiasm makes exchanges very popular until now. That's the name of the person who in my opinion is most influential
person in bitcoin.

if you asked 5 years ago i would have said andreas, but he seems to b very core band campy more so then open bitcoin network where any dev has as much chance as any other to offer up the next bugfix/innovation for the network

if h went back to how he told things in the early days he would be more popular in many peoples eyes

these days. 'influencers' dont have a clue. they just promote brands just to get people to buy things

If there was no Bcash and Bsv Andreas wouldn't need to take sides and be pro core as you call it. I think he's not pro core. He's pro bitcoin. The other things are alts and they are not bitcoin. They are Bcash, Bgold, BcashSV, and the whole other bunch of them. There's Bitcoin and there are altcoins.

They used to say Jihan is the most influential person but that was a long time ago. Some people think Pumpkin Man Craig is influential Grin

He isn't pro core, he is pro anything that makes sense based on the economical formula presented, which is Bitcoin and Ethereum.

if h went back to how he told things in the early days he would be more popular in many peoples eyes
Look at all the videos on Youtube he is featured in, the ratio between likes and dislikes is generally 99 to 1. I think that's a pretty accurate metric to measure his popularity. Smiley

There doesn't seem to be a measurable depth to his knowledge. Combine that with his articulation and there you have the perfect spokes person for Bitcoin and crypto in general.

these days. 'influencers' dont have a clue. they just promote brands just to get people to buy things
It all comes down to supply and demand. If there weren't any noobs to sell garbage to, so called influencers wouldn't be promoting their products/services.

Yeah, Andreas has come up most. It's funny how few other names get mentioned, after all, and that all of the names (specifically including Andreas) are being debated about. I guess this is a really strong indicator for Bitcoin's decentralized governance, is it?

I don't think any of these names belongs to the list of single most influential person in bitcoin as these people might be just tools as the real person will never reveal his/her identity and always remain anonymous just like Satoshi nakamoto.  Not sure if everyone will agree to my point but from whatever I have learnt in this forum a person who is influential for crypto will always be under radar so they prefer o remain anonymous and use proxies to promote.

For me, Two-person should be considered, Firstly, The name come to my is Andreas Antonopoulos who is just awesome, and working with Bitcoin very effectively and actively, I have seen a lot of lecture of him and it really matters what he is doing, and the second name is Mike Novogratz, who is also a giant person in this platform, I think both of them are working for this platform very well and it's great influence to the people also, Since they are not able to control over this platform but they can influence other people for this platform, but if you choose only one name, then obviously I pick out name of "Andreas Antonopoulos

CZ would be my pick. Chinese and English markets know him well.

That's a pretty good pick, but I'd say he's influential over shitcoins and crypto as a whole, not Bitcoin so much.

Witness his suggestion to roll back the Bitcoin chain because Binance lost 7000 BTC or whatever it was. That shows either little to no understanding or overwhelming arrogance. And it also means his worth listening to on this subject has gone down a notch or two.

I'm still not getting the Andreas nominations. He's popular, not influential.

If you had to choose one real person to represent Bitcoin (in the public or in a debate against other crypto currency representatives), who should it be?

I would not go into some controversy over who should be that person, everyone has their own opinion, though most are for Andreas because he is maybe most popular on YouTube or elsewhere. I have nothing against him, or other people promoting Bitcoin in their own ways, but I think only one person can represent Bitcoin. Although some will say he is not real (in the sense that it is not active in the community), my vote goes to Satoshi Nakamoto.

Yes, Andreas Antonopoulos is popular through his talks and by the moment most influential seems to be the CEO of Binance. Maybe there are more users who keep hold of large funds, but those are split and kept hold on different wallets. However those people who are influential can't be identified or revealed with perfect data as we cannot get accurate value of one's holdings.

CZ is a CEO of profit driven company. Bitcoin is an open source project. The development was initially led by satoshi but a large number of developers are involved in bringing bitcoin to where it is. I don't really know their real name but their contributions are greater than most of the newcomers to bitcoin. Without the certainty of monetary value, they worked to develop and mine bitcoin.

That's absolutely true, the mere debate about what Satoshi might have meant with this or that old post is really fascinating, given that Bitcoin isn't about what its creator wanted but what is actually the most useful for a maximum of people.

I originally posted the question because I wanted to learn who people perceive as the real-world person with the most impact on the future of Bitcoin. It's very subjective, yes, but the fact that there is no consensus (haha!) about this question makes Bitcoin so special.

Yes, Satoshi Nakamoto remains to be the most influential person/people not just in Bitcoin but also in cryptocurrency as a whole. Imagine a name, which is but a mere pseudonym, that may not even be representing a real person at all, being discussed all over the world. The last words this person/people released were more or less a decade ago and yet they were still discussed and debated until now. Simple words such as "I don't have time" and "I'll have to move on" are still pondered on and studied until now. And even the likes of Andreas, Novogratz, CZ, and the rest are influenced by this name above anything or anybody else.

I only followed few people in crypto was also Novo and Toni Vays podcast which I think are good influential people in crypto that could represent for the community. Toni vays is a finance analyst and knows bitcoin well too. I didn't know Andreas until today but I have listened to his podcast LTB on youtube, if I know he was that popular I could have followed that channel too. I just subscribed right now.

Mate.. why do the majority of votes fall to Andreas?  because of the intelligence of his detailed explanation of Bitcoin is very easy to understand.  I totally agree with the majority voice.

The single more influential person in Bitcoin is no other than Satoshi Nakamoto! Alive or dead, real or fake, individual or group, Satoshi is still on top as the most influential person in Bitcoin.
everybody would say this too if satoshi is physically real.  the problem is.. do you know where satoshi's house is!!

Its because Andreas had already done it in the senate before. He already represented bitcoin community years ago. This is just one of this speech in the senate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUNGFZDO8mM

He explained good and can discuss it in all aspects of cryptocurrency and its technology. He should be one of the best person to go to spread the word and educating people.

Choosing the most influential person in the ecosystem is subjective, for each person it is different. However, I believe that Andrea Antonopoulos and Nick Szabo are competing for first place among the most influential people in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

My take will go for Andreas Antonopoulos totally and sometimes I think it is crazy, but he looks like he is satoshi to me because the way the this guy speaks of bitcoin is so amazing that you will be wondering where he got his knowledge about bitcoin from and I think that he has been doing this from the time that bitcoin was created, so if anyone really deserves an award or anyone that is actually capable to face anyone in the defense of bitcoin, is actually this guy.

My take will really go for him, which is the reason why I love to listen to him totally because he has a very sound knowledge. If satoshi is to really come out today, I am sure that he will give this guy part of his coins because he really deserves it for the good work that he has done here in bitcoin sphere.

Most members think that Andreas Antonopoulos as a person who influences bitcoin, so am I. Especially as he is a technology expert and entrepreneur, so when he becomes a public speaker he will certainly have an influence.
Antonopoulos is also the author of "Mastering Bitcoin", a technical guide to understanding Bitcoin.

Mr. Andreas Antonopoulos lecturing the crowd about the bitcoin

Yeah true since  from tha start I am curious what is bitcoin that man Mr. Andress Antonopoulos during I study and learning what is bitcoin all about I saw him always in youtube videos teaching the important of bitcoin and how it work as digital currency in the world market. I agree form him power speach to represent bitcoin.

If I have to choose only 1 person: Andreas Antonopoulos
But with the whole concept of BTC and cryptos, it's not good to choose one person
But I choose this person because we have a lot of influent people in BTC that are crazy or stupids

On the top of my head, Andreas Antonopoulos.
I just got done watching a couple of youtube documentaries about bitcoin, one of which was about Mark Karpeles, and it was really good.  I'm not saying Karpeles was a positive influence by any means, but he did influence the market...a *lot* back when Mt. Gox was in action.

There were a few other old school bitcoiners in those videos, but I didn't see Anonopoulos in either one.  I recognize his name from threads on this forum but I don't think I ever saw him speak.  I'll take your and other members' word for it, tho.

I should probably learn some more bitcoin history and learn who the big players are since I got interested in it very late (relatively speaking) and don't watch much bitcoin related media.  My youtube splurge today was an abberation but one I may repeat.  Those docs were very interesting.

We are really fortunate that Bitcoin does not have a strong face associated with it, and it's probably what it's attracting so many people. This is not a one person game behind who we all rally to his/her command. This is a community and voluntary effort. We all do what we feel, some stick some does not, and Bitcoin keeps going further. the day Bitcoin is represented by one face, that is the day I know Bitcoin is going down and its time to pull out.

In fact I don't recognize any leading voices, influential person or whatever you name. There are however a few people that have done a lot for Bitcoin's development but I couldn't list all of them without forgetting or just not knowing about some of them so I'm not going to. but if you force me to say one name, i would say "theymos" for running the biggest Bitcoin community.

I am not disagreeing with that. Andreas is good in speaking and has the passion and vast knowledge about Bitcoin. No wonder why his books are popular and his video watched and he is invited as speaker everywhere. He's a professor after all.

Lol. Do we have to know the house of the person first before he gets qualified as a Bitcoin influential person? And you think Satoshi is not physically real, don't you?

You're not going to see Satoshi coming out, its better that way. There are people really knowledgeable about BTC and all of the blockchain being a platform for all these cryptocurrencies but you will start learning to see Andreas is best for it since he knows not just the ins and out of cryptocurrencies but also have the knowledge to financial institutions and banks. He is even a programmer himself though not an expert but he knows more than enough to live his life paying everything with BTC.

I would have chosen Satoshi Nakamoto, the true influencer of Bitcoin but the guy seems to have disappeared after the creation of Bitcoin, without no public appearance afterwards.
However, my go to is McAfee  Grin The guy obviously knows how to bring in more people into Bitcoin because of his overhyped price prediction.

Andreas Antonopoulos, no doubt. He has been a true bitcoin advocate and has been sharing his knowledge for the longest of time without any hint of personal interest whatsoever for making money. On top of that, he explains bitcoin and economics pretty well without being bias about it. Talk about someone whom you could read books of and listen hours upon hours of podcast and talks regarding bitcoin, politics, economy and society in general, he is your guy.

I would've chosen satoshi too if he was still showing himself to the public. but he does still have influence. I also would've agreed with you upon choosing
McAfee because of his "overhyped price prediction." but that type of influence could backfire. In my opinion, Andreas Antonopoulos has the most influence
regarding the growth and acceptance of bitcoin he teaches and explains the entirety of bitcoin and how it functions.

This guy knows how to make people laugh... at him and his ridiculous predictions. This man is not influential at all in terms of cryptocurrency. He is famous because he is John McAfee but he is not influential in crypto. He is famous because he exaggerates prediction figures but he cannot even influence the prices of the shitcoins he is promoting. He is not going to cause any pump at all no matter what he says.

This is a very good point. The mere fact that John McAfee is making these unbelievable predictions might cause some people to actually get in :-)

my go to is McAfee  Grin The guy obviously knows how to bring in more people into Bitcoin because of his overhyped price prediction.

I'm not really sure you chose John Mcafe to represent bitcoin in my opinion John Mcafe is not a smart and good person for that even though he has launched several projects, unlike Andreas Antonopoulos who has a lot of experience and can also understand many things about bitcoin.

I would personally choose Andreas Antonopoulos to represent bitcoin because in my opinion he is worthy in that field.

John McAfee is the single most influential person in Bitcoin.

What do you think?

Most influential clown in Bitcoin. He just uses Bitcoin to increase publicity for his political purposes. We all know Bitcoin is a HOT topic in America and the master of security used it to climb to the top even though
he just keeps shilling and spouting baseless prediction.
---
I think CZ is the most influential person in the bitcoin world. You can notice that every time he make a statement on his twitter. Everybody keeps an eye on it, Some give support, meme or criticism. This is the
main factor to determine a single entity is popular or not.

In my opinion, Gavin Andresen, he's one of the most prominent and vocal members of the Bitcoin community,
Weird post, I would have sworn it was copied from elsewhere and long ago but couldn't find it.

Gavin has been absent from Bitcoin for many years, almost completely absent since he backed an obvious scammer and claimed he was Satoshi.

As far as the repositories go and alert key goes, many people were given access-- just most had the good sense to not brag about it where it might get them targeted. I even sent some of the alerts when the alert key was still in use and also signed the final alert.

Here you go-- this is the alert private key:

30820113020101042053cdc1e0cfac07f7e1c312768886f4635f6bceebec0887f63a9d37a26a92e 6b6a081a53081a2020101302c06072a8648ce3d0101022100ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff fffffffffffffffffffffffffefffffc2f300604010004010704410479be667ef9dcbbac55a0629 5ce870b07029bfcdb2dce28d959f2815b16f81798483ada7726a3c4655da4fbfc0e1108a8fd17b4 48a68554199c47d08ffb10d4b8022100fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffebaaedce6af48a03 bbfd25e8cd0364141020101a14403420004fc9702847840aaf195de8442ebecedf5b095cdbb9bc7 16bda9110971b28a49e0ead8564ff0db22209e0374782c093bb899692d524e9d6a6956e7c5ecbcd 68284

Now you are the most influential person in Bitcoin.  Good luck.

In recent years it doesn't make much difference who talks about bitcoin, doesn't change anything. Take for example the price issue, even if any analyst makes any price forecast no one else takes it seriously, but if these:

1- US President

2- president of china

say they will legalize bitcoin, so the price will go up a lot, these are the people with the most influence on price when they open their mouth to talk about bitcoin

John McAfee is the single most influential person in Bitcoin.

What do you think?

he is the biggest joke to the crypto world

I agree that John Mcafe is not fit for that position as popular influential person to spread the word of bitcoin. he promote different kind of projects and those words he gave to users are variable. I think his not have a lot of experience about blockchain and crypto. money is everything for him, so I will not suggest him will become that popular. choose wisely so everyone could follow and learn their words about cryptocurrency.

Being influential in the right way is something we have to admire, but his “work” wasn’t a contribution...

If you talk about the most influential person in bitcoin of course no other than the founder and creator of bitcoin. He is the only very influential person in crypto space in terms of bitcoin. Bitcoin known because of that person and it become valuable and top digital currency among others because of  his influence.

Many would say that Andreas is the most influential person in bitcoin universe, but for me its Roger Ver, from his dedication to advocate bitcoin and showing support to Satoshi Nakamoto's creation was known to be something no bounds, he's been one of the few people who's been a bitcoin evangelist virtually form the beginning. Ver is also the first angel investor of bitcoin and an outspoken advocate of it, now he is best known because of his support with bitcoin cash.
And if I were to choose someone who can be a representative of bitcoin in a debate, I would still choose him because of his youthful experiences with alternate currencies when his class during fifth grade invented a currency named after their teacher which is Lindyland dollar that is used tonoaybstudenta for their work. from his school up to now the point when he get to be bitcoin.com's executive chairman. He's entrepreneurial skill would be his edge in a debate.

that person sits at the very tip of "Eye of Providence", known the 4th Branch of the U.S. Government.

In terms of being "influential"; to the extent which includes controlling on-ramp and public perception of BTC (共濟會,光明會,世界新次序,羅斯柴爾德家族), and also dis-information.

"  For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.

Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed." - JFK (And nope, this was not about Бoльшeвики/Poccийcкaя coциaл-дeмoкpaтичecкaя paбoчaя пapтия)

It will always be Satoshi nakamoto that will hugely influence people of Bitcoin but up to now no one knows his identity
as for the real person, it seems that it is CZ of binance, coz even some people are not liking his actions or decision in relation to his exchange it seems that crypto people are interested in his opinions or announcements.

He's indeed the best among the rest, no wonder why bitcoin is still powerful until now because it's creator influenced other people to support and accept bitcoin. It is still improving until now because bitcoin is getting accepted and adopted by different countries. No one will even know about bitcoin if he don't create it right? what do you think is the reason why some people are promoting and sharing their knowledge about bitcoin? because they were influenced by Satoshi and they're inspired by him. Maybe some of you think it was kind of funny because he's not able to show himself in public but does it matter? you can clearly see that despite of that bitcoin is still growing.

Satoshi Nakamoto is coming back.

He is not realy happy of what governement did to his family.

( Using alzheimer wave with satellite and satoshi predicted they can do it because they explained it in some Governement files and news, usa used it against russian secret agent in 2008 2009 i dsnt remember correctly , he predicted and did everything in case for remember everything he did. ( like creating folders name "remember you" and making skyrock for remember what he was doing in secret as satoshi nakamoto )
He was to genius its impossible to leave forever, he is back and not realy happy of what happened to Hal and his family Smiley , he predicted to comeback in 10 years.

Worldwide only one little girls 8yo know who he was in real life and she told him 2 week ago.

Yeah bro New era is coming they will realy understand who is Satoshi nakamoto and the guy only one who changed the world with help of Hal Finney for write in correct english the whitepaper.

Either "no one" or "Satoshi Nakamoto". Thankfully, Satoshi isn't around anymore, making it currently no one.

This is a good thing, because extremely powerful influencers are a naturally centralising force on decision making. Many people prefer to follow someone they agree with and stop thinking critically when that person says something they otherwise might disagree with if said by someone else.

There are some people that I consider very influential, very clever, and very aligned to my views. People like Andreas Antonopoulos, Saifedean Ammous, many of the core devs, and so on. However when I find myself agreeing with them too much, I often go out of my way to find things I strongly disagree with them on so that I can maintain a healthy level of criticality when they say something else that requires careful examination.

To note: I haven't yet found anyone that I agree 100% with; and I consider that to be very positive. I even probably disagree with Satoshi about a couple of things based on some statements he made, but since he's not around to discuss them and elucidate/clarify his opinions further, I won't say that with certainty. I will say however that I disagree with the interpretation I have of a couple of things that he said.

John McAfee has a lot of issues and most likely there's a better person that is influential than him. I don't know why did he pick John McAfee?, Does he really know who's McAfee?

Anyways, Andreas Antonopoulos is the influential person for me when it comes to bitcoin. He is very worth in this field and has a lot of knowledge on bitcoin.

Most? I don't think so, he's influential but he's not to that point anymore. People on the forum doesn't look to him as the same guy who's very optimistic about bitcoin before. He's changed and as you know, he has shilled a lot of altcoins.

So, putting him on the list as the most influential person for bitcoin is already crossed out. Everyone has the same opinion about Andreas to be the guy that's very influential, I've watched an interview of him and it's not just the influence that he brings. You can see the passion in what he does.

Very true, and of course it's hard to find anybody you'd agree with on all the things. I think this also goes for pretty much everyone who by design *is* the most influential person in any other given project, like Vitalik for Ethereum, who is also controversial.

John McAfee is the single most influential person in Bitcoin.

What do you think?

I think that everyone of us has the power here, there is no influential or not, what we have is acceptance from most people, imagine despite the fact that government officials are not in favor at this at first but still we all manage to encourage a lot of people, we manage to make them believe and introducing and letting them know the power of blockchain and technology.

Everyone has the power? but we are not that too powerful as these personalities. They've made their name and became popular because of what they've done to cryptocurrencies. And this what Andreas became the most influential in everyone's opinion.

He's been conducting seminars and talks in different conferences just to let the others what bitcoin and blockchain can do. We're too small compare to him but we can do the same in other manner.

Warren Buffet, considering he would at least accept Bitcoin as real currency. He has been one of the best businessman and trader in market. He knows what the financial markets need and he adapts. Think of it as a giant step forward in bitcoin evolution, billionaires accepting cryptocurrencies.

For majority you find people that are influential might not be famous celebrities, Satoshi was not a famous person when he introduced the bitcoin white paper but the content was special enough to attract many in the market and that how bitcoin started, i do not believe in any endorsement by any celebrity, all these endorsement by these celebrity can be misleading as they will do any endorsement for money.
