Yes it's safe to play with top 50 coins but not all of the coins are safe, i meant about the development progress.
Im never looking for crypto that is not listed on CMC consider about there will be a huge chance for such crypto to be scam crypto.
In my opinion, the top 100 coins in CMC can be considered as a safe zone to play with crypto caused by these top 100 coins are having enough liquidity.


But if you wanna do a daily trade and it's much better to pick above top 25 coins which were having very high volatility in the market that can bring you more opportunity to get more money from the market.
that depends on what kind of trade that you are interesting to do.

most marketplaces have told you that trading is high risk, so nothing is safe. basically we do trading must have prior knowledge, both technically and fundamentally.  so when we already have both, we can easily choose a coin that way and in the end we can get profits and minimize losses.

i guess, not only top 50 , top 50 means probability of fluctuation is low , not like another.

"Safe" is a way serious word and no one can guarantee you that in cryptocurrency. Perhaps, you meant "less risky". And for the top 10/20 coins, practicing your altcoin trading skills can be more friendly with them. Atleast they hardly burn off 50 percent of investment funds in a short while unlike the shitcoins

I don't think that you should be limited to top 50 coins. There are some good coins under rank 50 that are quite promising, including IOST and BTS for example.

What I think you should steer clear of at all costs though are the coins that you mention that aren't even listed on CMC - those are the ones that you should be extremely careful about.

Unless they're not listed for a good reason such as the fact that they may be a new project and CMC simply didn't have the time yet, you shouldn't be investing in coins that don't have any exchange liquidity or even basic recognition on a platform that essentially lists all coins if you pay them enough.

I am not looking at coins that are listed on coinmarketcap alone, because we have exchanges like binance that do list projects according to their functionality, so sometimes, when there is need to make investment in quality project, I go to binance to also see the ones that are listed at top, and then I pick from them first for research before making investment in them.

For coinmarketcap, I think the first top 50 coins that are listed there is counted as safe haven coins, they are the projects that are built to have the real working product and if we want to really be sure of coins that will respond to the next bull run, we should look at the coins that are within this boundary. We can never make a mistake if we invest in coins that are within this boundary.

People are very comfortable with the coins which have higher volume in the market, even the top 50 are based on the volumes they are generating. Even though they are generating volumes, but they are actively developing from their team. Top 50 coins are always best to choose for long term holdings.

The market is highly volatile and the list of the coins can anytime get rearranged thus, there is nothing safe. Anything may change but, BTC is always the first one.

My point is that do not trust or invest in any coin just because it is in top list now. Predict the future because that is what will give you the profit not the current list.

Don't set a limit of top 50 or top 10 or whatever. The coin at number 50 is likely to be very similar risk to that at number 51. I would say don't put any artificial barriers in place - just accept the rule that the lower you go in marketcap, the greater the risk becomes.
The one barrier I would say is okay is avoid anything that's not on CMC - unless it's a brand new project of course. Anything that's been around for a while but isn't on CMC I wouldn't touch.

Maybe but i know for sure that beyond that top 10 there are coins too that are worth for investing. It might be too late for you to realize that there are potentially worthy coins in the top 50 - 100 coins when the bull run going to happen. You can't feel or find the value of it just now because you have never seen the effect of bitcoin bull run to the other coins.

for me its not depend which is top 100 or 200 coin. it is depend on the project itself. some new project will start with big hype and high price and and then the price continue decreased. other that, we can take example in many altcoin like nano, xvg, even eth or bnb, etc. those project is starting with low marketcap.

Its good that you came to ask to see more opinions about this. I would say that nothing besides Bitcoin is safe to play with. I saw in the last years a lot of coins that have disappear from top 50-100 without any reasons so would be better to make research in every coin you want to invest from top 1-50 and then make your move. Don't gamble with altcoins that have no future as even in this top 100 there are a lot of coins that have absolute 0 use case and promising working products that seems to never come.

Remain to Bitcoin with most of your investment money and then try to assemble altcoins.

You have the wrong mindset, no investment no matter how safe you may think it is can be considered to be safe, not even bitcoin is safe since there are an unlimited amount of mistakes you could make along the way that could make you lose your coins.

You could get hacked, lose your private keys, your hard drive could breakdown, your computer where you store your coins could be stolen, you could send your coins to the wrong address, you could send all your balance in the form of fees to the miners, and all of those things have happened several times in the past.

actually mate not all coins within CMC are good what i mean even though it's listed on top 50 alts still uncertain . Indeed i bought a coin previously because i thought it will help to make few dollars despite iof the situation of market, but unfortunately the percentage turn to red suddenly and until now it keep struggling. So it's not safe and it needs more reviews before buying in my opinion wherein even it's along with some best alternative coins because it won't matter.

Coin rankings are just another term for majority's opinion. Opinion are not valid unless proven. But since we are talking about crypto market, it won't be proved that a crypto is on top of other crypto given that volatility is in nature especially when it xomes to their market value. You would be able to identify the leading crypto which is Bitcoin, because it is obvious, for having high market value, community and demand.B ut determining those who follows, would be hard, accurately. My point is for you to invest on which one would be the best investment, not depending on other's opinion. Just be aware of the risk of investing at this moment, are you're good to go.
