As above.
Of course my 2 Vegas were amazing mining Monero, performance in CN is just amazing. I have other rig with 4 Polaris 4 Gb cards mining ETH, still the most profitable coin with Polaris, so that's not a concern for now (maybe when DAG doesn't fit the 4 Gb cards...)
But that will change with monero going RandomX, I would need 8 Vegas to give the same hashrate as my Ryzen 3900x @ 130W...
What are you planing to mine with Vegas after monero fork?

Yes, but Vegas aren't nearly as efficient as Polaris cards to mine Eth.
I got ~ 82 Mh/s from my 2 vegas, and ~120 Mh/s from my 4 Polaris. Not the case with CN-R, as you know it.

With AMD Tweak you can reach 47MH/s easily on a Vega 64

Even a beggar in a corner make 1000 times more than that per day without saying a word. There is just one reason you trolls must be happy with such misery, you probably all live in venezuela and even that misery of money is worth in there. Yeah, beggars die in venezuela, flourish in developed nations. There was a news saying beggars are earning per month 4 times more than the monthly minimum wage which where I live is $1500 usd, I guess mining got to a such deplorable state that it shows it cant get any worse, do not be surprise if mining in few months rise 100 times, $4 per day per card because the way things are, only the people in venezuela might be happy with such misery. 95% of eth hashrate likely from hidden asics, no way in hell these many cards are earning $0.04 per card per day is doing the job, no way in hell and the g3 from bitmain was supposed to be doing 3gh/s, heard there was even a g4 producing an amazing 15gh/s, no wonder why eth price crashed to hehell and hashrate is very much intact and rising, the only ones earning money here as always are asics.

You must be a fun person at parties... Some people mine just for the fun of it, to tweak the system, the cards, the mining software... I turn off the heating in the rooms that have miners, so basically electricity is "free" You really don't need to be this agressive, just look at what you wrote. What's the point?

Yes, me too. I get half my house warm in winter with mining But I was not thinking about ETH. Maybe some CN coin not ASIC dominated?

I mine with 4 vega56 and they make 44mgh each and the whole rig burns 650 watts . I think vega56 is pretty efficient in eth , when you play with it.

you can reach around 49-50MH with Vega (64 or 64 BIOS) @ 170W/GPU
just use memtweak with (for example) winamdtweak.exe --RAS 30 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 6 --RC 44 --RP 12 --RRDS 5 --RRDL 5 --REF 15600 --RFC 248 --FAW 14
GPU_P0=852;800;0 GPU_P1=991;800;0 GPU_P2=1084;815;0 GPU_P3=1100;820;0 GPU_P4=1125;825;0 GPU_P5=1240;850;0 GPU_P6=1250;855;0 GPU_P7=1260;860 Mem_P0=167;800 Mem_P1=500;800 Mem_P2=800;800 Mem_P3=1050;860
this is only one example...many other use lower p-states and reach lower power consumption - but i´m ok with this, cause electricity is not the problem at my side

What clockspeeds / memory timings? 852/800mv core and 940/800mv memory hynix using Ntool , claymore strap 1 or 3 , you can try your self.

I actually have more agressive timings (--RAS 28 --RCDRD 12 --RCDWR 5 --RC 44 --RP 12 --RRDS 3 --RRDL 3 --REF 15600 --RFC 246 --FAW 14) but memory is only good up to 940 Mhz. I really don't want to risk the cards flashing a Vega 64 bios.
I can barely get 39 MH/s on one and 42 MH/s on another.
But they both do 2050-2080 H/s mining monero.

vega gpus are crazy good at xmr and i guess they are the most profitable for this gpu atm. i will look for other algos, probably cukatoo31 or mtp after the transition is done

Try my settings and you have to be able to hit these 44 . I use this bat file for claymore 15 setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu-new.nicehash.com:3353 -ewal bitcoinaddress -eres 3 -lidag 1 -epsw x -esm 3 -allpools 1 -dcri 7,7,7,7,7 -estale 0 -strap 1 -tstop 80 forget memtool , just use the claymore strap and miner and OverdriveNTool to set core to 853mhz(or P0 state frequency) and 800 mv and memory 940 mhz 800 mv.
