I agree with all of this, tho I have never used Gemini.  I would also say that kucoin is a pretty decent exchange and they offer a *lot* of altcoins.  Also poloniex is still around, even tho they banned U.S. customers.  As long as you aren't in the states, they're probably still pretty good.

Binance still rules above all, however and that's the one I would recommend to op if he's actually looking for the best exchange.  It isn't just that they have a lot of altcoins available.  They're about as secure as any exchange is these days, and they didn't shut down after they lost that 7000 bitcoins and no customers lost their funds.  If I had to pick the number 2 exchange, it would have to be coinbase but only if you just want to buy bitcoin with fiat.

There are many good cryptocurrency and bitcoin exchanges and its up to you what exchange you will use. As of now, I have been using binance exchange and bittrex this exchanges are one of the good and reputable exchanges. I highly suggest using the binance exchange because they also have a mobile application that you can download in the play store or AppStore. Lastly, make sure you will only use a good and reputable exchange so you can assure that your funds are safe and do not try to use a new cryptocurrency/bitcoin exchange.

If you want to trade some altcoins too, I recommend you to check CoinDeal. It has a wide range of coins and payment methods. I have used it for a long time and I consider it as a user-friendly, reliable exchange. Fees are okay and moreover - deposits in some currencies are free of charge now.

some people recommend binance as the best exchange place, because binance is the highest volume exchange, or you can use coinbase, because coinbase is an old, trusted exchange, my advice avoid new exchanges especially those using fake volumes.

Unfortunately at the present time we don't have an "all-inclusive" exchange that offers low trading fees, security, deposits guarantees, etc.

If you're looking for a somehow "safe" place to trade BTC I recommend Gemini exchange as they have a NY license. On the other part if you are an altcoin trader I suggest Binance, Bittrex or GDAX. Or go for a decentralized exchange like DDEX.

As you can see there are many options to choose from and you should go with the one that meets your needs.

for now if you want to exchange bitcoin or other altcoin, you better use binannce exchange because the asia based exchange currently dominates global exchange and binannce exchange has many differences between other exchanges and it's good if we trade there, if you want to know a lot about binannce you can browse directly on their official site.

I would risk saying your local exchange that you can link to your local Bank, because it would be the most convenient option for you, because you

do not have to go through all the hassles to buy foreign currencies to trade for Bitcoin on other exchanges. I also want to risk saying that none of

the Exchanges are good for Bitcoin, because it virtually destroys all anonymity with all the KYC/AML rules that it requires. There are some

decentralized exchanges without all these KYC requirements, but it is a bit more risky and also a lot more complicated to use.

What I look in a crypto exchange generally is team experience in financial technology, exchange UI/UX, customer Service, security, activeness of founder on social media, low withdrawal and trade fee with good liquidity. Also, use only trusted and reputable exchange. that’s the main key. never go with some unknown exchanges.

In my opinion Coinbase and Binance are the best exchanges. Coinbase will give you free $10 after make a transfer of $100. Binance will give you 10% kickback. I have never had any issues with either of them. But for first time users I would recommend Binance, as they have a learning platform as well, and they have their own token BNB, it's purchase gives such an advantage as reducing the amount of commissions for trading operations twice.

There is no such thing as best exchange. It's subjective thing, because everyone have their own preferences. It depends on what things you're looking for in exchange. Do you need exchange with big trading volume? Or you need many trading pairs? Maybe high number of coins/tokens listed? Or you just need good responsive support in exchange? Or you're looking for decentralized exchange?
Check exchanges posted above, try it to see, which one will be best for you.

-altcoin and stablecoin trading: binance

The best exchange may not be the top exchange and vice versa.

What is top is what analysis indicated to be top in terms of volume average traded on that exchange. So you can get that data from the internet aggregators like coinmarketcap and so on.

But what is best, is a subjective idea. That you would gain once you start using them on your own and find out flaws that are there in any exchange but not bothering you much and some flaws which are outright annoying. So that you would have to decide on your own. Try out a few of the "top" exchanges and you might find something of your liking. Be aware of local laws regrading crypto trading.

I'm sorry but what's income got to with anything?

I'd say, depending on where you are and what your needs are, that decides what the best bitcoin exchange is.

1. If you can find an exchange that's regulated in your jurisdiction and HAS a form of insurance for deposits. Go for this.
2. If you can find a way to do P2P with escrow protection, this is even better IMO, but also depends on method of payment (should be near irreversible).
3. What's the use of trading at say, Binance, if you have no means to reach out to them or seek resolution legally if something happens?
