Please, read the topic carefully, he has an intention to sell his car and he is not even mentioning to buy a new car. This is about an invesment advice but for a newbies like OP and it's better to invest in something can give more guarantee. To buy a new cure will make put more money from your pocket and that's not the problem that we are talking about. TROY is a crap coin and HBAR too. CAVA is still sitting 1x above the ico price.

For BTC then i might consider but for other crap projects? Definitely not.

It is not guarantee, when I look to the coins who have been successful to launch through IEO/ICO its price just will give you a profit for short time, so I will doubt you will get your all money back. I just wanna know, have you learn first to get profit thorugh those ways? until you decided to sell your car and join with IEO/ICO. I will be prefer (if I were you) to store them on bitcoin onlu and choose long term investment because in a few year a head bitcoin will face halving event and I'm sure if its price will increase drastically.

Is not a good decision, i will never sell something to invest on IEO or ICOs, i only invest a small % of money some years ago on a ICO but i will now don't do same thing because is hard for me to know what ICO to choose because some people never recover and make profit on the ICOs they invested.

I have following with many ICO and IEO but not all investment give me profit, I am not worried with many ICO have faced with scam and lost money because my investment source from with bounty campaign and airdrop project, I think can take profit again by joining with bounty campaign and invest with trusted ICO project.

You can sell your car to buy BTC and altcoin to hold. But you should not sell cars to invest in IEO because it is too dangerous, your money can be cleanly lost if you invest in the IEO scam project. Over the past few months I have seen lots of scam IEO projects and lots of people losing money with it. Only invest in IEO if you have spare cash and choose IEO projects at large exchanges where possible.

Don't rush investing right, true your word is also investment like gambling if you don't want to lose a lot of money then don't do it if you are still in doubt, buying bitcoin is the best way for a long time, crypto profits are different now as it was 2 years ago with quick profits, right now you have to wait and wait to face it.

He's probably not going to listen, as you say there are particular moments in the market in which it can be incredibly profitable to invest in ieos or icos but this is not one of those moments, as traders we need two different kind of skills in order to be profitable, the most obvious one is that you need to be able to increase the size of your capital when the conditions of the market are favorable, but the second one and the one that most people do not really appreciate is the ability to protect your capital when the market is going down, and right now we are in a stage in the market in which you need to protect yourself and your capital.

I have to admit that there is less scams, but there is also almost no good projects. I think that good projects that would be worth watching are waiting for a better market situation and in my opinion it is very good decision.

Unfortunately, but on the ICO market we've probably seen all types of scams. And personally, I'm not supporting regulating the cryptocurrency market, but when it comes to ICOs, it's definitely in the interest of investors to regulate it. Let's hope that STO (which must be a regulated company) will help to avoid so many scams.

The best time to invest is always in a bear market, i do not support investing in shit coins and IEO projects as the market is just a pump and dump scheme as there is no project that is going to be successful and even if there are the percentage of successful projects are really low and hence the risk is really huge as an investor, i would invest during this bear market in bitcoin and a couple of other forks and ten percentage in top altcoins.

Of course, the old saying of investors is to invest when the market is bleeding. However, ICO and IEO market are something completely different. These are projects that are not yet on exchange and have not even been created yet. Unfortunately, but the bleeding market is deadly for them. This can easily be seen by the number of projects that fell before they were created and they were not just scams.

I am currently looking at Starta Accelerator. It's an old ICO, but it looks like it's one of the few that is doing great. Here are the last results:

None. I don't usually mess with ICO and IEO's. Most of them turn out to be scams and the ones that aren't usually just tank in price whenever they hit an exchange. Unless there's some way that I don't know about of trading them for a profit before an exchange, it's just not worth the trouble and potential losses of messing with them. I stick with established coins in the top 20 on coinmarketcap and I do just fine with those.

If that is the worst decision that you have read in the forum then you need to read a lot more, I remember at least two mistakes that were even bigger than that, one person sold his home to invest in cryptocurrencies and the other mistake that I remember very vividly is of a person that took a loan to buy three bitcoins when the price was at its all time high, I do not know what happened to those people but taking into account the mistakes that they made back then I do not think that they ever recovered their money.
