Nothing is permanent here. But I'm quit sure government's won't be able to stop it as more they criminalize it, more popular it would get. If government took a harsh action against bitcoin, it's traders and users, that would be counterproductive for them. They might be able to restrain somewhere for sometime but sooner or later there would be no firewall to block bitcoin.
I totally agree with you. Bitcoin has just celebrated its over a decade in existence and it is receiving more acceptance from all and sundries. China coming up recently by adding their voice to legitimize crypto. More world economic powers in near future will join China to have their own blockchain and cryptocurrency. So stopping or banning bitcoin seams not easy for now.
