From my point of understanding, cryptography is something wide and cryptocurrencies just happen to use different encryption techniques covered in cryptography.

So someone who is so much interested in the security or encryption techniques used in cryptocurrencies who rather start with cryptography. It would make understanding cryptocurrencies much easier later.

Just to add some, this book tackles wide topics in bitcoin and so far the best book.

Nice list yet I guess beginners should start in cryptocurrency books and besides topics in cryptography will be tackled as they go through the contents.

Adding one to BIT-BENDER list here - https://www.amazon.com/End-Money-cryptocurrencies-blockchain-revolution/dp/1857886690, but more bitcoin/functionality focused. Did have a section dedicated to cryptography and reasons.

Was talking with a friend about crypto one day and he had read it a let me borrow it. Read was easy, had already been following space for the last few years so not all information was new/foreign to me. Gave an introductory of BTC and history. Did have some new items I wasnt aware of to think about for the crypto space.

Uhhmm Im pretty sure this is wrong? Well they may seem similar but Cryptography is actually the "process" of securing and protecting the content itself where only the user whom has access to the Decoder could understand it. Cryptocurrency is the "result" of that process. They may sound similar or maybe even look similar but are quite different from each other.

Anyway, its a pretty nice list but its more catered to users whom know how to code or are in the field of mining rather than traders. If one were to start learning coding though, this could be a pretty nice list.

Cryptography is very much used in cryptocurrency and blockchain as it has concept of encryption to provide secured datas. OP's list of books can help those who studies encryption like computer engineers or computer science related works. I just hope on those book blockchain and cryptocurrency are already mentioned since they might not be that popular yet when those books issued.
