I have invested in bitcoin, and i would like to learn about trading bitcoin to hopefully maximize both my current and future investments.
Since i am completely new to the world of crypto i would appreciate it if more knowledgable people have any good resources or tips to share. Both for (hopefully) profiting from trading, and for practical tips on how to reduce fees, maximize security in a practical manner and anything else that is necessary and/or helpful in my quest to accumulate bitcoin.appvalley tutuapp tweakbox

There is a lot of information to learn since you are beginning, and i can't share all the links here. I was just like you before i started out trading.
The best resource i would recommend is Youtube.

Search for tutorials about crypto trading for beginners and then check them out. From those Videos or tutorial, you will get to learn the basic tools you may need to use for trading, best exchanges to use, the basic rules in crypto trading, risk management, Technical Analysis etc

As time goes on, you can also start practicing with small amounts of cash to have a fee of real time trading.

If you're completely new to crypto as a whole, I highly suggest you read some of the basics about crypto in the Beginners & Help section; there's plenty of comprehensive reading material on that part of this forum, and some basic information about this forum as well. One of your questions about increasing wallet security's answered in one of the pinned threads in that section (click for direct link to thead), and if you've got any questions outside of trading including technical problems about bitcoin and more, that's the place to go to ask. The Bitcoin wiki (click for direct link) also has a lot of good reading for beginners if you navigate towards the Topic central category.

As for tips and resources for trading, there's plenty of information and discussion about that in this part of the forum, though there's not as much general information around here and a lot of the discussion is about just one or two topics. One of the first things you should be doing is finding a reputable exchange to trade on (some of them being Binance, Coinbase Pro, Bitstamp and others as well), learn how to properly navigate the site you choose to trade on, and then find and read or watch basic material on trading if you're also new to that. A lot of the general information about topics, such as and especially like TA, applies to crypto trading, though it's very true that some things don't and crypto markets move more erratically and wildly than traditional markets.

edit: fixed a broken hyperlink in my post.

I can't give you a specific pit-stop on where to learn tradings stuff but believe me, it's easy to find helpful resources on the web.

Hit your favorite search engine with a keyword "bitcoin trading tips, bitcoin trading advice" or something along those lines. Just be careful with clicking random links. All you just need to do is to read.

That will take time so just focus on it and have patience studying it. No need to learn advance trading stuff. Basic knowledge is enough to start.

You can search on Google to find the lesson about trading. Watching a video on youtube can give you more technical analysis or how to analyze the market. Some tips for searching for, you can use the keyword "how to learn crypto trading," "learning crypto trading," etc.

I suggest you try a visit in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5199218.0;topicseen, in that thread, members share the trading simulator which you can use to practice. You don't have to use real money because they give you some balance to start trading.

Internet is so wide and so the knowledge. There is a lot of information to tell and we cannot just give you the best you are looking for. Do your own research or watch some youtube videos about tips, techniques, and some advice on how to trade or some sort of stuff related to that. You won't be getting nowhere of course, just follow what those people say.

Okay I try to help a little that I know about how to trade the right one for newbie, the first one I recommend, don't use capital that
we can afford to lose. Secondly, don't take trading signals, because what they share is not necessarily accurate. Don't be too fanatical
about one of the coins, because the pump and dump in cryptocurrency will alternate in various ways coins. If you have profits sell it quickly,
don't delay to get a bigger profit. And the last always do technical and fundamental analysis by yourself to better understand the market.

Rather than trading your bitcoin, it's more valuable if you only invested in bitcoin. You don't need to always looking on the chart, waiting it goes down or up. But you need to know about risk in bitcoin too since it's very volatile (you can lose a lot and win a lot through your investment).

It's better to invest first in the next few months while learning and how to trade properly and make a profit. If you want to maximize your investment by trading, I think you should learn first, and YouTube to learn more easily because there are many its benefits.

Welcome to the future!!!

I don't know if "successful" traders here are going to be comfortable spilling their "secret" if you know what I mean. There are tons of youtube's about crypto trading, but I would advise you to pick up some basics and then jump on it.

You might have a hard time in the beginning and may suffer losses, every did in the beginning of their career. But don't be dishearten, crypto trading is like a journey, and if you fall down, just get up and continue.

I advise you to get your hands dirty because that's the only way you can really learn, not from watching videos or reading online, you really need to experience and learn from mistakes so that you will be successful in your crypto trading journey, best of luck to you.

You are so new that it is difficult to give you an advice, there are many ways to trade the markets and each person will find a method they like more, there is fundamental analysis, technical analysis, day trading, swing trading and long term trading and you have no idea what you may like to do, I recommend to you that you read several books and watch many youtube videos about the different ways to trade before deciding on a method, and once you select the one you like then read about it for at least a month before you begin to trade.

If you are new in this market I recommend reading through this topic. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4928968.0 This is a very useful topic compiled by reputable members in the forum.
You should also go to the Beginners & Help section to learn more. There is a lot of knowledge that beginners need to learn.
And there is one experience that I think you should know: Don't invest based on anyone's advice.

Personally, I learn it from experience, I would say that I lost a decent money in the beginning but it's all good. I mean the experience you will get is priceless.

Anyways, I searched a few threads here in the community, maybe it can help you out.

How to learn day trading?
Where can I learn trading ?
Where to study trading and technical analysis?
Want to learn basic trading ?
How did you start trading?
Education for Cryptocurrency trading?

Good luck to you and see you on the trading floor,  Smiley

Security tips:
Use hardware wallets
Use multiple emails and a Virtual box whenever opening suspicious links that you REALLY Have to open
Other things to consider:
What kind of investment do you want to do?
Do you have money that you are willing to lose? If no, then stop trading.
Don't go to debts just so that you could continue trading.
Study on your own, produce your own trading techniques and skills to analyze the market
Don't FUD, trust what you think should be trusted.

Well, those are mostly simple tips and the fundamentals of trading should still be researched by you alone. Refer to books and youtube videos and you should be fine to go. And by "Fine" I mean ready to lose money for the first time? haha

I have invested in bitcoin, and i would like to learn about trading bitcoin to hopefully maximize both my current and future investments.

Since i am completely new to the world of crypto i would appreciate it if more knowledgable people have any good resources or tips to share. Both for (hopefully) profiting from trading, and for practical tips on how to reduce fees, maximize security in a practical manner and anything else that is necessary and/or helpful in my quest to accumulate bitcoin.

Every BTC trader needs to decide what's more important: accumulating dollars or BTC. It's different than virtually all other investment assets in that sense. No one cares how many shares of XYZ stock they have; it's all about the dollars.

Your desire to accumulate BTC (which also means not losing it through trading) entails a very different trading style than the traditional capital preservation approach. During uncertain market conditions, you would hold (baghold) to prevent losing BTC, which can obviously lead to dollar losses. Traders in the traditional markets would naturally consider this a risky or even reckless approach.

Whatever you do, just don't have strong hands through an 80% crash and then get weak hands and sell the bottom. That's what a lot of newbies do.

Anyway, as far as fees:
I used to recommend Coinbase Pro but they jacked up the fees recently. Kraken seems to be the cheapest major fiat exchange now, and Binance for stablecoins. Some exchanges (including Kraken) have a maker/taker fee model where it's much cheaper to trade using limit orders instead of market orders.

Security:
Always use 2FA. Don't use SMS, which is vulnerable to porting attacks. Use Google Authenticator or similar, if not U2F.

Finally, learn some basic TA and do some paper trading before risking a small amount of BTC. You can build up the capital at risk once you get more comfortable and profitable. This is a good place to start with TA: https://www.babypips.com/learn/forex/elementary

A lot of guys here suggesting watch youtube videos or read articles on how to trade. For me,  same with them but watch only the essentials, the basics! After that, you should start trading with a small amount of money. I believe that to learn how to trade, you need to experience trading fully. Keep on learning by experiencing it.

don't take trading signals, because what they share is not necessarily accurate.

Personally, I am applying some of the trading signals I see here on the web, and mostly they are working. But yeah, you will lose money on some signals. Nothing is accurate in terms of trading. But most of the signals are just based on the trend. For me, following the trend is a good thing with regards to trading because that is my basis when I am making a day trade.

First, choose the right trading platform/exchanges, in general, you should register on exchanges in your country to make it easy to comply with the kyc policy, deposit, and withdrawal fiat currency. You can check every exchange to find out how much fees they are charging.
You can learn bitcoin trading from some people who share their TAs every day or every week, you can find them in tradingview site.
However, in the end, it's your call to buy or sell bitcoin, that's why you should do your own research regarding market trends, what's the next event that may affect bitcoin price.
Knowledge is the key to make the right decision.

Basically learn from everything. The tips that you'll see here are what works for the people giving out the tips. Videos, books, engaging in forums and discussions, you'll be able to pick up a lot from all these. Though i agree about trading with small amounts. What you'll learn from others won't have any effect if you don't apply and practice. Keep yourself aware of how it feels to lose. I think that's essential in getting your emotions ready for trading.

when you have bought bitcoin, I make sure that you have a wallet, and a trusted exchanger, so I will not explain about that. a little information from my experience, when you have held bitcoin, make sure that you don't relax and don't pay attention to information about it. some people leave the bitcoin they have with the intention of waiting for prices to rise, but in fact, in 2017, some people are not aware of the price reduction that occurs because of leaving information.

the thing that I emphasize most, in this case, is, learn to manage the risks that could occur. pay attention to the FOMO that can happen at any time, sometimes because of this many people lose. You also need to have a target for sales, for example, I target the price to sell when the price of bitcoin rises above $ 12k. still, pay attention to information and prices on the chart that is happening now.

You could find everything you need to know about how to start trading in the forum.
Just like those mentioned above. Piece of advice, you don't have to start with bitcoin, you could start with a cheaper one first such as alts.
You need to fully grasp the idea of trading. Reading articles or videos on youtube might help. Then practice it yourself.
Put this in mind, only invest what you can afford to lose.
