Those number are quite big for a certain time to count. Though possible but somehow I doubt. First thing is that he already stated, there are some factors looming around that could affect the market, and in addition it is not always about what we think of, even though there will be a halving that doesn't mean market will go at a certain numbers. It indeed willl go skyrocket but it is not always what we thought of.

Just an speculation by youtube influencer. Nothing solid proof to backed his claims. I watch many videos of crypto zombie on cryptohacks website. He is a good analyst but his 55k prediction for next year is exaggerated. Maybe he put a long position by the time he write that article.

This could be another Mcafee wannabes who likes feeding us hype, people who likes to create hype so much are those in a hurry to make profit out of the Bitcoins and other coins they are holding, we are eventually going to get there, there's no doubt about that, we don't need to much hype right now, because things are already unfolding, $55,000 is just to much although way lower than Mcafee, but I want to be moderate i don't want big hype big crash.

We all have expectations because of halving for next year, but $55k is a bit much. It is just someone's expectation. It is difficult to make a long term prediction in the Bitcoin trade and to believe it wholeheartedly. I try to approach it fundamentally in long term analysis, which is generally very difficult. The crypto market is more new and needs to develop a little more, and move away from manipulation.

It just seem to good to be true, it is great if will reach $55,000 next year but it's kind of impossible knowing that the price isn't even stable yet @ $10,000 mark now, the price fluctuates rapidly and I don't think it will soar high to $55,000 in a span of months. Also, consider the FOMOs, panic buying and selling of coins, I think these will just make the price fluctuates even more but let's see.

yes I agree with you $ 55,000 I think that's too high to be achieved next year. although bitcoin will defend two next year but the value will not reach $ 55,000. because at the moment the value of bitcoin is only $ 8800 and in my opinion after defending the two maybe the highest value of bitcoin is $ 30,000 I think $ 30,000 makes more sense than $ 55,000. but all this is possible in the bitcon market. I always educate myself not to get my hopes up too high. because if hope is far from reality it will make us disappointed. so it's better to hope for a little but if in reality it gets a lot then we are grateful for that.

Like some others in this thread, I'm not too interested in these guys who using crypto for his own personal gains, and in the end, of all this, really has little or any practical value. The keyword they all use is "could", and we all know what that really means, it can happen, but it doesn't have to.

If we just try to think logically, we can draw some conclusions ourselves. All we have to do is look at the data that exists and which can show us in which direction Bitcoin is actually going. The whole history of Bitcoin shows us a very clear direction, and this is generally always upwards with inevitable corrections. Whether someone wanted to accept it or not, the crypto winter was over few months ago, halving is inevitable next year, and after that new big pump is something that can be expected.

$55k is actually a very achievable price, just 6 times up from where we are right now. In 2017 an increase of 20 times was achieved, so it does not surprise me at all that some people predict a much higher Bitcoin price in the next 2-4 years.

Bitcoin will growing next year so most of the investors are buy and hold the Bitcoin. The current market is little drop so we can invest soon we will get more profit in Bitcoin. But 55k USD is hard to predict so we can active in all the time we will make enough profit. I hope one day it will cross the 100k USD also and we can't predict the huge hype on Bitcoin.

Promoting one's YouTube or blogs for their traffic gains or for YouTube payment while using Bitcointalk and crypto discussion is a multiple source of earnings from OP. I'm not also into predictions. I prefer to trust myself no especially those times I failed to do it because of reading too much hype news. It's better to invest in knowledge of learning trading than wasting time watching so called expert.

It's so common nowadays specially there are people who want to be a wannabe vlogger just to gain some subscriber watch traffic. It's all about the money since youtube can give you an incentives if you have more viewers.
Back on to the topic. I don't know if $55,000 will be the next ATH next year or it's just a number in a picture that won't happen even if the halving is done. Price right now doesn't add up to that price next year but maybe whales could do something about it.

that is not "astonishing", there are other idiots bigger than him with a lot more "zombie" followers. that doesn't make them experts though. in fact 99% of those who are posting analysis on Youtube don't have any understanding of the market and most of them don't even trade. i wouldn't be surprised to learn that they don't even own any bitcoin or own very little like 0.001!

Am no more enjoying those predictions, they are not good for expectant investors. The only purpose of the price prediction for bullrun is to enable a wiser exit price when it touches it. Now I might begin to consider the VitaliK prediction never to see that magnitude of price pump of altcoins in a short while like we saw few years back. Though it gives a good chance for altcoin to engage a more sustainable developments

Been around in Bitcoinland for quite a while. Bitcoin will amaze you with the drops and it will amaze you with it's ATH.
Once we go past the halving we will for sure pass the $20000 mark and $55000 isn't too much higher.
Even this year we have seen 140% rises and 40% drops in days. Give us a few of those rises and some FOMO and we could get up to 6 digits before dropping back.

How many similar predictions I have heard so far. Every year is the "next" when Bitcoin will reach some magic price and everyone will become millionare. Honestly, I'm not buying that and I don't pay attention to such exaggerated predictions falling out of the blue.

I don’t see much off the reality in it because I have not seen much factor that could trigger bitcoin to rise to that value next year except that of halving and when it comes to the halving of bitcoin, I think that the highest that I see bitcoin growing to is something around $28500 which is not a bad choice of investment for anyone.

At that value, the people that bought bitcoin when the price was at $19k in that last bull run will benefit and recover their money while the people that made investment this period will also benefit, so that value is more of feasible to me. For bitcoin to reach that $55k, you need to look at the system first and see if bitcoin is going to grow to trillion in marketcap, because that is the only marketcap that can make bitcoin to surge to that $55k.

It’s crypto, so literally anything is possible, especially with the recent uptrend, but there is no reason for me to say it could hit $50,000. Bitcoin is $8,800 each now, and 158 billion dollars in total. If each bitcoin hit $50,000, it means it will rise nearly 5.5 times. the total price will be 870 billion dollars. Hence Bitcoin will need nearly 700 billion dollars to hit $50,000. It is a large number and there possibly is a financial crisis recently, even though 2020 is expected to be the bull market, but I do not think the price can hit $50,000, it needs too much money to achieve this goal.
