So I'm a current sophomore in high school and in one of my classes we had to give a speech. It was supposed to be around 1:30 long and be a quote and explanation on something we enjoy and like to do. Well being that I already gave a speech about computers and my interest in them (achieving 2 MTA certs and 1 ACA cert) I decided to do mine on none other then Bitcoin! So again the length requirement was 1:30 and I ended up giving the longest speech that teacher has ever been given in all of his Public Speaking classes. I gave a whopping 3:48 speech on just straight basics of Bitcoin. As if I wasn't standing in the front of the class I then ended up answering another 15 minutes of questions about Bitcoin because a majority of the kids were quite confused! I ended up pretty much explaining how I ended up getting the little Bitcoin I worked up to after 6 months! When it ended most of the kids still didn't know what Bitcoin was but just know its a currency backed by nothing that's worth a whole lot of money! They also think I'm a drug dealer now because of how I mentioned the anonymity of it. And to top it off the kid that was unprepared to go next thanked me very deeply for taking up the rest of the class period! Just thought I would share that with my fellow Bitcoin fanatics out there! Thanks!  Tongue

They also think I'm a drug dealer now because of how I mentioned the anonymity of it.

Next time, as a counter-argument to "only criminals need anonymity" mention the Target credit card data breach, and the economic cost of identity theft and the fraudulent use of credit-cards that resulted.

There was no "sens" when people were selling lids.
He might be burnt-out over 25 years ago.   Cheesy

No I do not want to hear a story, but thank you for asking. Also, see my signature.

Haha... Grin I love your story
people get carried away sometimes  Roll Eyes

just goes to show that people are ignorant on what they don't understand...
they are easily influenced by the media and don't even try bitcoins..
bitcoins are like money.. you could by anything with it
Instead of showing the potential of bitcoins they ruin it..

well more for us then.

keep on what your doing it's not your fault there ignorant .
