Might be not that different from end of 2017, Alts will follow the uptrend. And that's what people are hoping for. But that means since the price is very high there's a possibilty that alts will suffer a bit of dumps. People will switch from alts to bitcoin. And it might take years before we see that, or, it could be just like 2017, where it took only around a month for bitcoin to reach its all time high.

Most of the people in this forum will wake up from a nice dream as I doubt this actually ever happen.

Now, it ever goes that high I guess most alt coins will start dumpinh like crazy and only the big ones (eos, eth, litecoin etc) will somewhat hold their price in USD, but definitely loose a LOT in their satoshi price. And sometime later, BTC will start dumping like crazy too.. much like what happened when it hit 20k

The price of the tokens they hold are also going to rise.  If the token is just worth 3satoshi today, the value of it in USD right now could just be less than a cent but when BTC rise up to $100K 3 satoshi will also rise in USD could be worth $0.10. Its how it goes now think about it if you have about more than 10M of this token. BTC price go wildly up to $100k can also bring all up.

it might be possible because of the hype of the bitcoin price hype, logically you say it's quite specific but we can't assume that altcoin can be as expected. There may be a few coins but not all of them can follow the trend if the BTC is priced

If bitcoin touches 100k there will be no way altcoins will ignore this, they will surge so higher than what we've seen in 2017 and early 2018, big whales will be forced to pull out money from btc and drop on some altcoins

Altcoins will have no choice but to follow the upthread as well maybe after bitcoin hits is bottom or ATH and find its bottom like it did in january 2018, 100k is really too over my expectation though but we will see

Are you talking to yourself? Anyways I do not think that altcoin market will go to zero for the next 10 years but I'm pretty sure that some coins will die. You made a right decision on choosing BTC but some crypto people wants to take the risk and bet with altcoins because they believe that altcoins still have potential to grow its value over time.

If bitcoin will hit on 100k I think many bitcoin holder will become an instant rich because all we know that in present situation bitcoin is in critical price level then quickly it will rise up to 100k? If we look the history it is not impossible because all we know that bitcoin is the most powerful and fast moving coin.

Those who have acquired Bitcoin will be very pleased whilst the rest of us with little or no holdings will be crying, it's as simple as that. Altcoins will not die but they will be dumped for the BTC fomo at least for a while. First, the smart money exits from the altcoins and all amount is used for increasing the BTC price. Yeah, is just like that 2017 a month of all time high. but if this surely happen around $100k btc price. I think everyone will invest in altcoins too like also in 2017 that all quality altcoins will go along so at that moment they will too. the trend are also lifted all and everyone will have an interest about cryptocurrencies. but a lot of scammers are also synchronous the flow of the hype so we need to avoid it and need to warn that get attracted to the price and need to dyor first and need an expert one for not being victimized by their actions.

Believe it or not alts will be zero soon or laters.
think it, if some days some alts delisted from exchanges , what happend ?
so you can't sell it, no one wants to buyings your coins..maybe that means going to zero

That kind of movement was already in the past.

Bitcoin up altcoins down? No, that is not the case anymore since stable coins came in.
Now altcoin will need to grow on their own. Marketing and support will help.
Litecoin as an example. There are no free advertisement for it, but yet it still stayed or better the supporters are growing.
What could help is the users. Chances of explaining it to others and talking about its features.
Unlike ICO's who needs a marketing team.

I do not think so. In order for shitcoins to move away from the market, situation must be poor, but, 100k USD is a huge. In this case the unnecessary altcoins will even reach a certain price. If their prices remain the same against Bitcoin, they will be affected 10x from its price increase.

Of course we would all be happy if bitcoin would be worth $ 100k, especially bitcoin holders. Because it will register another all time high!
And other reputable altcoins will not die, but they will survive and prices will increase as they depend on bitcoin exchanges.
