they send google docs link and i remove link from here

Thanks for joining Bounty Brave!

before i click on this link i check email sender and i see that email address was official_bitcointalk@yahoo.com, please dont click on any link if you receive this email

real brave link:
https://brave.com/
phishing brave link:
https://b*r*a*v*e*-*d*r*o*p.info/

I think they got your email address from bounty spreadsheet that email is not hidden or airdrop form. Over time I've been receiving some scam mails too but I just mark as spam. Some of those links have spywares that will try to copy your private key or mnemonic from your clipboard, we have to be careful. Some gullible crypto enthusiasts will be so greedy to open the link, looking at the supposed  huge giveaway of BAT.

Guys, please be aware that this phishing campaign seems very persistent that they would employ different addresses for sending email and different tricks like rephrasing the message or alter it to look it different from previous emails sent but the truth is they all lead to one phishing site.

For additional information and illustration about this phishing scheme kindly check this related thread: [Warning] Fake Brave Bounty Program Giving 1,500 BAT Tokens to each participant!

Someone emailed me this and it was monthly, but I could easily tell if it was legit and real. Because as you said we will see it in the email whether it is the official email of a brave or a fake. This is some of the screen shot of the fake Brave bounty and the real Brave email.

It's been many times that I see users uploading a lot of post, pictures of emails that keeps promoting reinstalling/update their software to get Bat not just Bat but 1500 bat, who on earth will do giveaways just like that, if we're too greedy to get free rewardsbthen probably we're already scammed on it now. I always remind myself that crypto is too risky same with getting emails without you knowing how they get my email. Brave browser should create their official announcements for this emails that keep spamming that they are not related to it.

Its the same when you get some kind of emails from other services or platforms , like ebay , paypal etc.
The most of this emails when you click on it has phishing and Malware in it and also just for the future this kind of platforms dont send you emails to update your things.

Wonders me that they dont have written in there email send 100 Bat and get 1500 back.

All of the schemes are being identical and are being done the same way with the same tactics, I just don't get why according to statistics there are approximately £27 million that has been stole in the last financial year. According to the UK's national centre for reporting cybercrime, from the past period scams tripled in number mainly suggested that it was because of peoples desire to be rich quickly that even with the most blatant scheme they would fall. I do really hope that people would also start to want to avoid losing their money through scams because of their impossibke desire.

Every free money advertisement or announcement should be dealt as a scam.
Hardly someone is going to give you free money.

1500 bat is about 400 USD. Who would give 400 USD for everyone who update their software?

If people don't have minimal common sense they are at risk.
You said it right, and these hackers have targetted the right project, there are hundreds of thousands of Brave users right now and not all of them are not knowledgeable or newbies when it comes to checking the link, and the 1500 Bat is such a big amount to refuse, I hope nobody will fall into this trick.

I often receive emails like this and I already know that the messages in the emails are phishing, true you say many Brave users including me if 1% of them follow the instructions how much the scamer benefits, so this is a beginner who will be the target.
It's good to see that you have some knowledge when it comes to these kind of things, don't let yourself be a victim by those scammers because you don't know the possible things that may happen. Newbies usually get victimized by scam because some of them doesn't have any idea about phishing and on how they can get rid of it. It is much better if you have your own research before visiting the sites in the emails to make sure if it's legit or not. Scammers have different faces, they can easily deceive somebody if it seems that they can be easily fooled. They are just trying to take advantage of you to get the benefits that they wanted so be attentive and cautious always.

I am actually not joining in this kind of airdrops, I don't have much time to do it, as well as I don't want to be a victim of this scam and could click phishing link that easily, so, instead I am just joining campaigns, just joining bounties, trading sometimes, and just investing when I do have spare time, for me it is better to be safe than being sorry later and will stress out myself. So, I would be very careful than to be a victim of it.

some people do work and prefer to airdrop rather than bounty. based on their skills and abilities. like you would prefer a bounty rather than taking part in a risky airdrop campaign. but I followed both but only for the official airdrop launched by their community. do not just choose the project. Likewise with the bounty I chose, although it has the same possibility for fraud, but the bounty I think is more convincing because there are managers of the bounty manager we can trust.

oh, maybe this kind of phishing site based on the domain address is not it? as you explained:
real bold link:
https://brave.com/
phishing bold link:
https: //b*r*a*v*e*-*d*r*o*p.info/

You have good intentions, and I appreciate your efforts. related to the email message above. You can distinguish them from each of their offers, especially the requirements and registration forms. and it's important to remember: never send your private key to claim an airdrop token. in many cases this seems trivial, but many people do this because they are interested in the great gifts they offer you. always be vigilant about that.

the even dont ask for private key in google docs
they just want you to install their app and then steal your private keys

With how those hackers and scammers trying very hard to reach out and get some victims it's really far better to invest or to work with decent ways instead of joining airdrops which is most of the time the passageway of scammers to penetrate with your assets. Being conservative of selecting good
alternatives instead of patronizing this service, it's better to safely work than exploring with high risk activities.

People need to be careful and always take their time to check links before clicking on them. Most of the efforts hackers make with phishing attempts can be easily seen through but people who fall victim hardly see through the fake links and fall for it.

Sounds interesting isn't it. I like how you handle this one people who would be looking upon this specially those who are non crypto related people or who are lack of knowledge would easily get captivated into this trap. They even used the platform name. Anyway, thank you for this. Hope this one would be able to read by the others.

I think this have been posted if I'm not mistaken:

[Warning] Fake Brave Bounty Program Giving 1,500 BAT Tokens to each participant!.

But thanks anyway to the OP, maybe others haven't read that original warning, so just be careful not to trust any emails you got or even click on that link.

i didnt know that this posted before

Don't get me wrong though, I guess you are just eager to share this scams to the community.

But if you wanted to make sure, you can check our search function, or you can go to Beginners & Help or Scam Accusations to see if a community member has given warnings already. Again, good catch!!!

If you are new in bounty or even in crypto for sure you will get hooked on this kind of email! before, whenever I received this kind of email I will immediately subscribe but when my account got compromised of course, I know it would be a lesson that I needed to learn, actually with this email I did receive the same cause I just downloaded a brave browser and then when I see where it came from, I know it is just a phishing attempt, the only advise the I have is to see where it came from to see if it is legit.

Thanks for sharing and alerting the community, this will give people especially newbies the opportunity to be safe once more. Also, I think the people that will always fall prey of these scams and phishing scam will be those who are always greedy and conscious of free money, in all things let's be careful of the links we click on.
