Most likely they choose what makes them easily understand and what makes them relate to something.
Learning is about what makes an individual interested in something.
You can't easily relate and understand if you are not even interested in the first place.

I don't deny it myself because i also lazy to learn things even if it's about instruction for my own safety.
I have experience this my own in this forum, i am so lazy to read some instruction. I just want to earn fast. But when the time comes and experience some difficulties. I have learn that learning and reading has some good effect to lessen some difficulties.

Simple and easy people are like that. They want easy money as fast as they could, doing shortcuts leaving them in pit. Commonly these folks are older ones, because they are somewhat contented on what is on their minds. Sometimes they just don't care about new knowledge and technology, and would prefer the classic way of living. No one can blame them, and also they on't hate it at all.

Your topic is the kind of question that many tend to over look. I think that the attention span of the today's generation of youth is accelerated. When I was younger, if you wanted to play multiplayer mode on a game, and didn't have any siblings, chances are you had to go to an arcade or join up with friends to play together. Today, things are so advance, most processes are automated with just a touch of a button. Not everyone could afford house hold computers then, let alone have access to the world wide web (nostalgia).
   The youth of today are used to things being fast and efficient, learning anything for the first time, takes a little time though. I imagine with cryptocurrency one most approach the scene with caution as it is a new sector of digital financial instrumentation. There's no choice but to take the time and learn slowly in this field (crypto), as I believe that it is a field still in it infancy. They want to earn in exchange for learning. If there is no money involve they are not interested. Ive also encounter like those people, I will teach them about bitcoin and tell them how to earn but once they get board or maybe didnt understand what I am telling they are starting not listening and not payinh attention anymore.
