So if you don't know the story of STU-U6, StrongU was pre-selling this X11 Asic, since early this year, claiming 660GH/s at 1300W and Aug/19 release.

After delays, they only started delivering these in November. And they are now doing only 440GH/s at 2000W!!!!

50% less hash at 50% more power. Wonderful engineering feat!

As compensation for disastrous specs, they gave an extra miner for every two purchased. More power to burn!

The miner itself seems crappy. Three of my units keep re-starting every 15 minutes or so. There is no log in user interface to tell why its is re-starting. Complete crap software.

Avoid this company and miner at all costs.

Please share your experiences also.

Thanks

Edit: A couple of UI screencaps -

"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

Hey

I'm just glad you've actually recieved one, I was starting to think they'd never ship. Fancy putting up some pics / video / UI screenshots?

Added a couple of screencaps. The miners are in colo now so cant take photos or videos of them.

Hope you get yours soon. Are getting same compensation? 1 extra for 2?

Thanks for posting some screen captures and posting the performance you're getting. I've been told my units will ship by 30th November. I am getting extra units as compensation.

Guys this is nonsence what happend!

Ive ordered 2x U6 and recieved 3pcs aswell.

2of them doing 400GHs at 2200W
1of them doing 440GHs at 1900W

I dont have that worse two connected, just the better one.
After a week this one lost one of the hashboards and it hashes just with one :/

Today was just another one pcs delivered to me ordered solo from Sesterce mining. Avoid them! It was shipped 2weeks later and the machine is physicaly broken, some of the little parts are falling out of the machine.

Ive wrote to StrongU using their email but didnt get any reply after a week.

I have 0,12usd centrs/kWh here - here is the calculation for original product and delivered product.

660ghs/1300w, 12usd cents/kwh = 5,5USD/day and if I take off the electricity its still +1,7USD – great.
420ghs/2200w, 12usd cents/kwh = 3,7USD/day and if I take off the electricity its -2,8USD – impossible! How is this good for me?

And one more thing  Cheesy

In that Debug window just for test Ive set number 1 and hit the blue button (Send in chinesse), it restarted the miner and now does not work even the one hashboard  Huh  Cry

Its not hashing, it doesnt show fan speed, board shows frequency 170 and very low temp. Nothing even after reboot.

Damn it! Ive break that already broken thing...
Avoid to do that!

I am with you.... I have one and I will not connect it  because of the fucking specification.

How can the DASH network survive if no miner is efficient? What is going on with this coin/algo and the mining hardware situation. toooooo sad

There is a new firmware:

https://strongu.com.cn/Home/index/support

https://strongu.com.cn/public/file/rootfs_u6_1125_v1.7_f.tar.gz

I did not make out any difference.

The worst part of the miner now is that there are no logs of any kind to troubleshoot.

I'm glad that I didn't order this crap, feel sorry for you guys.

I always like to see the result after release, pre-order before seeing performance is risky, like in this case.
I'm doing the same with Grin miner from Innosilicon

Its their original firmware (copy of bitmains) but I had the miner at same IP address as previous Antminer and cookies in my brower does the trick.
