Hi fellas, i want to drop this info mainly for newbies on this forum that just start getting familiar with crypto wallets, i was waiting for some tokens to get delivered into my coinomi wallet since a month ago but they never appeared but the projects teams claim its been sent but guess what? i decided to track my address last night using Etherscan and i saw all the tokens there, sometimes your tokens might have arrived in your wallet but you won't know until you track your wallet address or you manually add token contract address, thank you.

Yes as long as its appear in etherscan you already have that token every time you are checking your wallet always use etherscan to see al the balances. Same thing with myther wallet you need to add new contracts if its new coins to see it in your wallet.

Yes you are right, sometimes you won't see notification in your wallet that you have received a token until you manually add conyract address yourself.

hello I do not understand your point, whether you can give a complete picture. if it's a problem about losing a token maybe I can help him, hope your funds can be returned.
What he was about to explain is that, if there is a token that was already been sent to your wallet but there are no trace or no tokens to be found in your wallet, those token might be traced using etherscan to see if it is already been sent to you by tracking the address. If you have seen that the token is there, you can manually add the token name with additional information such as contract address, etc. The token will appear after those steps.

it sounds like you are a newbie yourself that it could take you 1 month later to figure out that you have to track your wallet all this while. And by the way,  I don't think coinomi is an erc20 wallet more reason why you didn't see your token automatically

So... OP's point is that we won't know if someone sent tokens to our wallet and you need to manually add a new token contract address?
As long as it's a wallet that supported the token/coin and you're holding your private key you'll be good. That token won't go anywhere. And it's a basic thing in crypto world, there're some wallets that needs manually adding the contract address, but I believe there's also some wallets that's automatically has the info of the new tokens without adding them manually.

thank you for elaborating, so now I know that the OP is providing information. I thought he needed help, maybe I thought he should provide additional information in the form of pictures to make it clearer, because he wrote was information that was unfortunately not structured in writing

This is a very essential reminder to the newbies that are into bounties. If the token they shall receive is an ERC20 token, then there should be a manual addition of token for that wallet like coinomi.

Also, this is very much usable with myetherwallet. You have to add the token along with the contract address. If some of you are confuse with what op is trying to say, it's just a reminder about adding tokens to your wallet.

In myetherwallet you don't need to do that to view your received tokens, you just need entry the token address when you want to sent your token. So, i think it's because you use coinomi wallet so you need to enter the address manually to show the received token

I experienced that before when bounties are actively paying, they will pay you already a month or 2 after their token sale succeed and may allot 1 week for bounty distribution, sometimes we weren't aware that they already sent until we do manually check it, as sometimes in etherscan especially if still have no value or not listed in exchange it didn't show fast or in the end of list. But now it all works fine, maybe since there is no new that coming.

I understand your point if your tokens not showing at your coinomi wallet but you can see in etherscan ? if I am right then you have to add your tokens in coinomi wallets manual so you can referee blow mentioned web link and follow the setps.

Problem with ERC20 tokens a long time ago.

When I went to etherscan I dont see my tokens but when I check ethplorer I could see it.
I dont really know why this happens.
But that is the answer. Add it to the token list at MEW and somehow it will appear everywhere you check it.
Try checking ethplorer too if you dont want to open your MEW for so many times or just lazy.

I recommend that you use Myetherwallet and don' t provide Private Key to anyone, to secure your wallet. And store token and coin in mew. You can also use Etherscan to check the number of tokens when you get back to your wallet. Or you can use @EthtokenExplorer_bot on the telegram that will automatically call when your wallet receives a token or coin.

It seem like some kind of bug in the wallet, as a matter of fact this happens on my own wallets too, but on erc20 tokens part only, some times it disappeared or fail to reflect until you manually add it up

Yes, this is the case of tokens that have to be manually added first before you can withdraw them or even see them in MEW or other wallets' balance. Checking your balance in etherscan is much better if you are expecting a token that is newly minted. It is because etherscan will show you all the tokens in your wallet even if they have yet to be manually added. You can do the custom token adding after verifying that you already have them in your wallet through etherscan.

Yeah, thanks for the good advice. As a newbie I kept making the same mistakes with Ethereum tokens, assuming I never received them because I was ignorant and didn't bother to take the time to learn about Ethereum technology better. I think Etherscan is an excellent tool to use for exploring addresses. Here is another and I think it has a much cleaner interface and is a whole lot easier to use (at least for me).

It's called Ethplorer and it's very good and was designed just for exploring tokens in your Eth address.

Almost all ERC-20 tokens must be added to your wallet manually. more precisely, it is necessary to do this if you want to see them when entering your wallet.

In myetherwallet you don't need to do that to view your received tokens, you just need entry the token address when you want to sent your token. So, i think it's because you use coinomi wallet so you need to enter the address manually to show the received token
There are some cases, it exists even before especially when bounty campaigns are really popular, tokens needed to add in myetherwallet where you need the information about their coin before it appears in your wallet balance.
This is very common and knowledgeable especially to newbies since they will do it for sure in the near future.

BIG WINNER!
