I'm not sure what kind of hardfork you're talking about, but the right one, that everyone is waiting for - "Constantinople" - is expected to take place on February 28, 2020.

never speculate any cryptocurrencies value tomorrow because if the market condition goes green or red it depends on the investment and the users getting involved in the concern coin.
Because all the time people are speculating something on Bitcoin and that nothing happened in reality I believe same will be apply for the ethereum also.

Because all the time people are speculating something on Bitcoin and that nothing happened in reality I believe same will be apply for the ethereum also.

Personally I do not have any problem with people speculating with the price, the problem that I have is that some people take their predictions as facts, they believe that whatever they predicted is going to happen and when it doesn't they sometimes begin to argue that what the market did does not make any sense and that it should have done what they predicted and some in their desire to be right could even begin to argue that there is a conspiracy among the whales or something ridiculous like that.

Ethereum is dropping along with everything else. I'm not sure how much if any effect the launch of 2.0 is going to have. Arguably it is already priced in.
I do think there is still reason to be confident for the longer-term, it's just that short-term it is quite difficult and feels painful.

But you do realize that the guys who posted this were talking about a day that is over a month gone now right? And tell you,,, even if ETH dumps in the next 24 hours, so what? People will get more ETH at this point. In fact any more drops and people will get even more ETH if possible. We are talking now about a price less than 10% of the ATH. For a coin that will for sure stay around long term, and even improve with 2.0 next year.

Ethereum will definitely recover at some point in the future, but that is precisely the problem we do not know when that will happen so even if the price of ethereum is very low compared to its ATH I am not really planning to buy ethereum at the moment, the recent drop in the price of most coins in the market made most altcoins to suffer, bitcoin recovered and it is trading at the same levels but coins like ethereum lost ground against bitcoin and the bitcoin dominance has increased as a result of this.

ethereum 2.0 will be giving a very big differences consider there will be a lot of change (almost all) in ethereum protocol. Various features will be added and that even needs a year or more to complete all of the updates. im very optimistic with it. We will see that in the future.

why isn't it realistic to predict it? You didn't give it enough time to catch up. I'm almost positive that if you give it enough time, Ethereum will follow right along with Bitcoin. The only reason it didn't this time is because no one was sure what direction BTC was headed in. If it's a pretty sure thing that BTC is headed upwards, then you can pretty much guarantee that ETH will not be far behind it.
