Why are we going to be a fool on the word HOLD? We are the ones who will decide if we will gonna hold our coins or not. We can sell and we can buy us anytime we want. Why are we going to hold if the market is in an uptrend? Of course, we choose to sell it and make a profit right? So it also depends on the market.

I agree with that phenomena because we hold only when we see the market and we look at the past of the bitcoin market. We know that the position of crypto is very better and is going to get more stronger that is why we are holding and waiting for a great bullrun.

I think almost everyone sells when the market is trending or going up and buys it when the market goes down.
and if they still hold it back when the market goes up it's like wasting an opportunity and in the end will regret when the market goes back down.

But here in actually the opposite is happening as right now you can see people are selling when the market is going down while they have to buy now if they will not sell and will buy then they will not see the panic market. Those who want to sell then they have to sell when the market reach to peak and have to take care to not dump the coins.

Its true. I use to think my transaction fees and withdrawal fees are too much to waste but after trying my way to earn by joining how the traders earn seem worth. If I can dump while the price is still high is worth than just holding my coins in hopes that its price will eventually moon but that's just too much of a waiting as well. Chasing the money is worth doing than just waiting for the bullrun.

Holding of coins really depends on when and how low have you bought it. If you have the perf3ct timing of accumulating it then its worth the hold for me.

Those who hurry to sell at the bullrun actually miss the actual chance of profit as now the time of blockchain technology is going to start, there are countries to adopt it and a lot of people will adopt this coin. trillions of dollars will be invested in it from the investors so the bullrun in crypto will continue for a longer time, while those who sell in mid miss certain time of bullrun. Many of them often are unable to buy again as they try to wait for downfall and for that they wait for the whole life and not see the price at that value again.

I think that there is a difference between investing in bitcoin or major altcoins like eth and ltc, and in these types of altcoins you listed, which really should be considered more speculating than investing.

With bitcoin or ethereum there is a much stronger market and you can be more sure (though not 100% in anything) that regardless of what happens there is a huge amount of infrastructure, investment, momentum, etc behind them, even in a bear market. Whereas with the coins you listed, while they all might be very promising now, any of them could turn to shitcoins overnight, so you have to stay on top of what is happening with them, closely monitor the news, etc. I don't think it's wise to just blindly HOD'L these types of coins. A good case in point is KIN, which I myself admittedly bought near the height of the last bull market, and it's almost worthless now, having fallen over 99%!  They got in some kind of legal hassle with the SEC I believe. But at this point, it is not worth selling because you would get nothing out of it, so you may as well hold it now as a lottery ticket on the chance that something positive will happen to turn it around.

So sorry but i must say that you need to give up on what you are holding. i doubt if those tokens will ever survived this volatile and scandalous market. My suggestion is to divide what ever you are holding in 3 portion. each of those tokens into 3 parts and sell off 70 percent of them.  you need to lay off some of them to avoid loosing out entirely. i watched my portfolio reduced into penny in the space of ONE YEAR. with the current market situation, New cryptocurrencies will keep coming out and the old ones will keep fading away.

If you have held on this far, there's no pint giving up now. What ivee learnt from all of this is the word hodl isn't in cryptocurrency dictionary sell when you're in profit there's always a good entry lurking somewhere after an uptrend.

It was a bad mistake mostly but I won't fault anyone who has been holding since because the promise of a limitless crypto market was too enticing for a number of people to have easily sold off their coins. Most people were optimistic that even if the market went down that it will still rise but it hasn't been the case so far.

Its very easy to say just hodl for long-term but in my opinion the bitter reality is holders are in huge loss on the contrary short term holders are in more profit even high potential coins are also dropped hard so I feel if you have more patience its better to continue to hold rather than selling in huge loss in the current bearish market.

I do not trust that word HOLD but truth is, it works for some and its a personal choice. Even if team tells me to hold I will instead sell and rebuy that's if I am making profits but if it's to go by what people say I am not a party to that unless I see the light by myself after research.

Holding for long term doesn't necessarily mean you hold for eternity, that's what people fail to understand. A friend of mine held a coin and it did 3x over time, rather than selling at that point he kept holding. Then I asked, what's the essence of holding if not to make profit. Most people holding without any strategy end up regretting, gone are the early days of crypto when very long term holding pays.

some of the altcoins on the list are really not worth to sell atm so he has no choice but to hold. this is the problem of most altcoins, you thought you have done your part, research and all, and from your assessment they are pretty promising and have high chance of being valuable in the market. but turned out a disappointment.
if you will check the charts of those above projects, you will understand why the OP is still holding those coins. what is there to gain if he will sell those right now? so what he can do is hope that one day he will get at least half of his money back from those investments.

Honestly i didn't so familiar with OP portfolio and a bit risky to hold some of them because some of altcoins have low support volume and limited exchange to trade and the portfolio could be change to confident if your coins have good positions on coinmarketcap such as Eth, XRP or even Cardano but predict the future of altcoins is very hard and if you feel those altcoins still worth to hold then the decissions will belongs to yourself

Well most crypto enthusiast believe in the word hodl, so it's not you alone here but the reason for hold is to wait on profit and take it but you had the opportunity of taking profit and you didn't, then it's really going to be a long wait and hodl for you. I think you should do research on most coins there in your portfolio you will quickly sell it off.

Holding is good but you need to ensure you are holding the right coins, early adopters didn't have a hard time choosing what to hold as at that time there are only few coins available and thee are a lot of successful old coin now, their success were felt more during the last bull run.

They originated that hold because we've seen that holding is really profitable, but not all the time, I am sure a lot of people realized their mistake after the long bear market.
