There is no such thing as foolishness when holding crypto altcoins in your wallet, people are only getting tired of holding and discouraging others because it looks like there will never be a new altcoin season again but right now things are changing very fast, only the patience dogs gets to eat the biggest bones

I think Long time should not hold any coins in the crypt market. Because when the market is on the train label, your coins or tokens can be sold at the right price. there is definitely something wrong with the project.
What I want to say here is that not all coins/tokens are worth to hodl

at you as a professional in the area of investment but when the calculation fail you make other investors look at you  as a foolish investors because you fail to understand the season that bitcoin is rising, and altcoin is reducing in the market.

Very tough to any project to cope up and bring those old investors again, there are no lots of competitions and interest from those
traders and ivnestors who supported them are already been move to another projects, they needed to convince people if they are

Many hold for long term and some like my self hold for short term, I don't like the idea of holding coins for many years, this may not even bring you your dream ROI, if a project is good enough between a year or two it should have bring you high ROI already, after a year of launch Chainlink is already over 10$ while it was once trading at cents

It is pointless to keep low-value tokens. They will never regain the value they once had. The projects worked their way by raising money. Nobody will be able to revive the lost, it is easier to launch a new one, which tends to develop.

for me, good coins for 'HODL' are Bitcoin, Ethereum, BCH, Dash, Neo, Monero, BNB, Litecoin, and eos. ICO project coins don't do much good in 'HODL', the average will only be 'shit' when the reward has been divided or entered into a small exchange listing.

I think it's best to hold altcoins now, the HODL season is back once again after few years of intense bearish market, I regret selling my bitcoin at 17k last night thinking it will be tough to see more uptrend but I was damn wrong, now all I have left is my altcoin portfolio, this isn't a time to be in haste, be patience and get the reward

But if you buy it at $3k, you've already made a fair amount of profit ). I think hodl only applies to bitcoin and other top coins, and for new coins or altcoins, only a few can be used for hodl (long-term investment)

Considering the timing of the HOLDING is the best way in order to make profits, there are also characteristics and some attributes that a trader should have before doing a holding because it is not for everyone. The 1st thing that we should consider in the patience, can you wait more than 6 months or even years in order for you to take profit? If not then holding is not for you but if you can then you have one of the attributes of the good investors then the second is timing wherein you should do holding if you bought at dips and not in the peaks in order for you to maximize the gains and minimize the risks that you could face. Holding is also depends on what type of coin that you will buy because not all of coins are good for long term investment because there are some that suddenly dying and those coins are threat for our capital.

It depends on what coin you're holding. I have coins that I hold for several years, I rest my case, I liquidated some since more coins I'm holding has no value now. As a lesson, better check your coin from time to time and sometimes it's better to cut loss than to lose at all. I agree that holding is not  for weak people,  only just waiting for aa good timing.

It depends on what coin you're holding. I have coins that I hold for several years, I rest my case, I liquidated some since more coins I'm holding has no value now. I think it will be dangerous, because Hold is a word for long term,
so we have to invest in a good project, in terms of price or background.
