Though some countries in SEA are catching up to the world of basketball but it's still not enough to beat the Philippines. Philippine team now up by almost 20 points and all I could say is it's a sure gold for the host country.

Philippines will win the gold, it was a competitive first half but the Thai collapsed in the 3rd quarter allowing the Philippines to outscored them by 25 points, 3rd quarter score is 40-15 and it's hard for them to come back now, that's for sure.

I did not predict how many scores or results of the match, but I am also optimistic that Indonesia will beat Vietnam in the final. Defeat during the group stage must have been evaluated by an Indonesian coach. I think Indonesia at that time played too much so that Vietnam could freely adjust the tempo of the game. In the finals, the Indonesian game will certainly be more attacking because that is the strength of Indonesian football.

The Indonesian soccer team really has to accept the fact that the Vietnam Football Team is superior to them, 3-0 is a number I didn't originally predict.  it seems that the Indonesian game pattern has been read by Vietnam.

My prediction missed.Very bad game from Indonesia where there are minimal creations in attack. I only see a few shoots that lead to the Vietnam goal throughout the game. Vietnam really played very effectively by relying on a very fast counterattack. They certainly deserve a gold medal for men's soccer today. Congratulations for Vietnam.

The 3 points conversions of PH kills the Thai at that quarter plus good assist which gave them easy shots. Watching the game in the early quarters gives me interest as Thai keeps tailing but like what you have said third quarter give the Philippines huge leads and keeps maintaining not to allow the Thai to
try to comeback. Congrats to both team as they grab Gold and silver respectively.

Vietnam is a powerhouse team in Southeast Asia so it's a no brainier that they can defeat Indonesia. Though I did not expect it to be 3-0 since Indonesia is also not a bad team after all but their attack seems stagnant and they cannot go on for offense. I think I just saw them playing defense the whole match though.

I think it's much better if you say "wishing a good game in the next SeaGames" lol. Just imagine how difficult to achieved medals for ASIAN games alone so what's more in the Olympics. And for all the sports you have mentioned, even it's difficult to admit it, there is a low chance that PH can grab medals, even bronze on that sport category.

As of now, there are only 2 qualified PH athletes that can compete in Olympics, Ernest Obiena in men's pole vault and Carlos Yulo in artistic gymnastics.

Everyone from the Gilas contributed on their winning victory most especially to inside offense of Abay and Stand, and Pringle's speedy moves. Anyway, I already expected their win since it was only in SEA region but everthing looks unpleasant once they go to FIBA World lol but at least they try and that's a thing which you can be proud of already .

But I am hoping that Indonesia will bring their A game and win this one. Since she is Vietnamese, she supports the Vietnamese team. So lets see how Indonesia will slay the Vietnamese team.

I think almost half in their roster is half Vietnamese, half American. This shows that they are serious in improving their basketball program in their country. Yes I lost the bet and my office mate is so happy not because of the Starbucks, but her country won. She watched it live, she even asked me to to allow her to go under time (leave early from work) so she has enough time to travel and watch.

I wonder how they will split the incentive for every Gold medal brought home coming from the basketball team. Incentive is around $16,800 USD and they will split that among all players since Basketball is considered as just 1 Gold medal.

Looks like all the Gold Medal are already awarded, 529 Gold medal has been awarded and that makes Philippines as the over all champion with a total of 386 medals (149 Gold, 117 Silver and 120 Bronze).

Yups the game is good I think the Indonesian team was unlucky because in the final they lost important players, and in the first round they lost the central midfielder who was a key player because it was violently violated by the Vietnam players. 2nd place not bad

That is OK mate, at least your country did try their best in this meet and even surpasses their expectations. Everyone struggles in sport, and I'm sure that with the young Indonesian soccer players, this is just he beginning of their journey.

Yes.. from the beginning of the game, the Vietnam team aggressively attacked the defense of the Indonesian players.  After they managed to score a goal, the Indonesian team's mentality began to decline, and the result was that the Vietnamese team won.  It's a pity the Indonesian team didn't get gold.

I had done it in football and volleyball. from the start of the group stage I have started betting every match. I suffered 2 defeats in total, once in football and once in volleyball. But overall, I still benefited from the victory. Do you also bet on several branches of sea games?
