Ever had of a story of people who committed suicide or attempted it because they lost funds which is huge to them. Most of the stories are made up but also some a true and real.
I would never tell anyone to stop gambling come to think of it I gamble also myself but I will Ask we should be guided while doing so to avoid unseen calamity.

How can you control your mindset while gambling, this is really not easy I must say you are drawn to playing it over and over again it doesn't matter if you are winning or losing

gambling , win and losses is part of our life. actually you can always feel happy no matter you are desperate caused by a huge losses in gambling or whatever that makes you feel that this world feel like fall apart.
always thinking positive , that is the point, that is the key, any kind pain are come from your thougts, that is the roots.
when you force your brain to think positive you will just happy even you are only holding 10 dollar in your pocket.

Yes, I agree with you, but in reality controlling yourself is not as easy as it says and in gambling you cannot fully apply your mindset and self-control because at least things like that will be a bit hooked on andernalin in the game even though the person is a person expert, and it all depends on the gambling being played.
