That is the cost of joining any random airdrop and inserting your email and social network any at shady company that offer worthless tokens for free. Hackers will be emailing phishing attempts to those emails all the time .

These kind of scams often affect aged people and try to take away their savings. It is advised to everyone to become more knowledgeable about using the internet to do any kind of financial transactions, be it crypto or fiat and always watch out the addresses they get suspicious e-mail from.
But this may get off topic... I got many spam e-mails from Perfect Money about money being deposited to my account. And that sender email came from their official .is domain. Well, they always ended up in the spam folder. So sometimes it is hard to differentiate about what's going on with the money-related websites.

If someone sends email in bulk then it may be received into your junk or spam folder but sometimes even a legit email will be received there so you need to be careful which clicking these links. Someone suggested an idea to what is hidden on the links recently like copy the link address from the link and paste it on somewhere like notepad and see where it actually leads to.

This is why it's very important to have different email addresses for different type of accounts. Emails for accounts that involve funds and sensitive data should be totally different from emails for accounts that you use for signing up in bounties, airdrops and ICOs.
People who run these airdrops have an email of gathering emails in exchange for worthless tokens so that they can later spam them with phishing links. You have to be very observant and not to try to be greedy. Obviously a greedy person would fall for this kind of trap and end up visiting the malicious link.

Well, only hovering works too But seriously speaking, I got tired of these emails from PM and never looked for them again. This is rather annoying because they give you that hope I get an email of 500 USD deposit, I log in and boom, there's nothing. I don't wanna be that guy

I'm kind of happy knowing that some people remember what I suggested. I actually did not forget what I suggested about hyperlinks if what site it will be redirected. Legit emails do received in spam folder but the op's case is it's clearly a scam attempt where you could look at the sender it's kafersyers442@yahoo.com. Mashfiqun is right too hovering or pointing the arrow to the link will show the site at the bottom left side. Copy and paste is more recommended for those people who use mobile devices.

Recently I received many suspicious emails From e-mail addresses have nothing to do with blockchain so it should be noted not to click on those messages to protect your account from hacking Did anyone else come across those letters Real Blockchain wallet doesn't email you something like this based on my experience. All of their emails are just for newsletters and alerts everytime you log in or everytime someone trying to access your wallet. It's better to just block that certain email address thus phishing or whatsoever can be avoided that risks your privacy and securuity.

I made a thread recently with suggestions on how to protect your email privacy and to prevent yourself from failing a victim to email targeted scams: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5202634.msg53116803#msg53116803It's almost impossible to maintain total privacy but you can manage your accounts to easily identify scam attempts.

Yeah sure, Blockchain is emailing people from a yahoo.com extension, seems legit. Also, why does that 'C' look so weird in the picture in the word 'Received'? Is it a special character? Somehow it's out of the ordinary to me.

If you've been receiving phishing emails recently, I would suggest that you check if your email has been in a data leak that occurred in the past. I recently created a guide right here on Bitcointalk to check if your email has been Pwned: Thread link 🔗 : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5201569.msg53078705#msg53078705If you've been Pwned, I would suggest you use a frezh email and be careful of the websites and platform that you use your email address on.

It's normal in the cryptocurrency market, scammers try to send a lot of spam and they hope to be able to cheat new people. In my secondary email address I receive such emails daily, bonus scammers or spam aridrop try to collect users' mail and sell it to scammers. People should be careful when clicking on any link, it's best to find a way to check the link before clicking on it.
