However the new bumping system has caused spammers to no longer be able to bump the threads, there are still many newbies spam ANN threads. Project owners are trying to have an active thread and there is no doubt almost all of them are scammer.
Please post link of these threads and also members that are helping them.

Here are some ANN threads I found.

1. Tachyon Protocol
2. Bankcoin Reserve
3. SwapZilla
4. ModiHost

Following users only post on the four threads mentioned and do not post on any other threads.

Some projects do this themselves, some of them pay for the service, and finally most projects offer an incentive for users to post on their thread. Whatever it is, if you can find any evidence behind this, and link it in the "report to moderator" function at the bottom right of the post that would help immensely. Otherwise, there isn't sufficient enough evidence to trash the thread, and we have to delete the replies instead. Often, those bumping threads, and its clear what they're trying to do are banned. I personally don't like removing threads without that evidence even though its quite obvious what is going on most of the time.

As for the users; Banned.

You are right. I changed the subject to "ANN threads that are probably using bumping services"

Please check the post history of these users too.
These users have made all of their posts in Tachyon Protocol, Karvuon, Pawtocol, Amazonians Green Coin, Cocos-BCX, RIDENODE and KABN threads.

I guess the question is other then thread activity since the bumping no longer works, who really cares.
Yeah, I know it's "bad" but if you are not killing the thread, then other then banning users is it really accomplishing anything.

If people want to waste their time and money posting stuff that they think will bump, but in the end does not I say either let them waste their time or just nuke the entire thread as a lesson to others.

Just my view.

What's the new bumping system? Are you not allowed to bump your threads anymore?

What's the new bumping system?
Read here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183553.msg52420076#msg52420076

Are you not allowed to bump your threads anymore?
You are allowed to bump your own threads every 24 hours, but not by hiring a service to bump it for you like the examples in the OP where the users have fake conversations to either bump their thread or post low quality posts in order to generate a buzz around their project.

I think that they are aware of the changes, but the ones who don't know about it are their clients. Any project that is willing to just throw away money on something without checking whether it works( let's put aside the fact that it is dishonest as well) , will most certainly throw away investors money on something equally stupid after ICO ends ( or right in their on pockets) , and it is a clear sign to stay away from them.
Maybe tagging OP of those threads could be part of the solution, or at least warning them before doing that, but from what i noticed so far, it is not usual practice, probably because those bumpers don't stop even after that.

"bumping" or what they should be called now "fake buzz services" will always exist. Before, they served the purpose of not only bumping up the thread, but generating a fake buzz around the project. These fake conversations are almost always of low quality, and causes spam to the thread. These should still be reported. I'm not that interested in altcoins myself, but if someone is passionately following a project then I can understand their frustration when the thread has been littered with spam posts. Some projects aren't familar with the forum, and have only come here because its another way to market their project. This is fine, but because of that they don't understand the rules. Many projects outside of the cryptocurrency industry create fake buzz to try, and lift their project off the ground. Paying news articles etc. So, in theory its not different to that, but certainly isn't in line with the rules here when it involves spamming these low quality conversations throughout the thread.

As for the matter of trust; there is a difference between paying to generate fake buzz, and paying for users to publish biased reviews. However, this should be taken case by case.
