So I invested in Litecoin at around 0.015 BTC because of the halving but it has been such a massive disappointment. Dogecoin on the other hand has maintained its value against BTC and is now even higher. I don't get it? There's only gonna be 64 million LTC ever but DOGE is over 120 billion now with no max supply and keeps adding about 5 billion new DOGE to its supply every year. Why is DOGE holding stronger than LTC

Do not worry my friend. I am also a Litecoin believer, I keep buying a bit every now and then.

Guess what I also hold DOGE, although I do not add to my doge,,, I just invest it in a casino and it has been growing, so that is like a big surprise for me. DOGE always goes in cycles by the way so I love it for that reliability,,, and this is a lesson that market cap, supply, scarcity are not always the factor for demand!

Litecoin is more of a currency like Bitcoin, only it has much lower fees. Doge is functioning as a tipping coin. Many people choose it because of its low value as well as low fees and fast transaction confirmation. Both are top rated coins with a big community of users. I don't think I need to choose only one of them either.

Upon analyzing both advantages that these coins had, I guess we'd better start holding this for good future. Don't ignore those potentials that they both achieved for so many years. There's no big deals if we choose any of them, or better pick them both as your great lucky asset which belongs to your holdings.

DOGE has a large community so they have a lot of interest coming, I often see any gambling sites usually they also provide bets for DOGE, so it seems that DOGE is more a solid community than LTC, many were disappointed about the LtC halving yesterday but of course also LtC has a lot of investors, so investing in both is actually no problem because they are part of the top 100 CMA, don't care about the amount of supply and also understand that the market is currently unstable

Correct and there's no need to compare those since even if they have different technology they have the same potential and it's up to the user if they want to select among those selections since the result will still became positive since those 2 will pump when altcoin season come for sure.

Because LTC is a huge disappointment for all holders. In 2019, LTC had a massive update including halving, which should have caused a massive pump, but due to the market conditions the price is at the bottom.

Yes, these two are okay but op is just curious why the other one is looking better than the other. And he's asking why is it that the different of its supply is making it known despite having more.

And the difference isn't that far being cheap and quick for transactions being conducted with these coins.

Altcoin still not yet getting the party, i almost waiting more than 1,5 years and now still waiting cause i have some a few major exchanges like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin. You should be waiting bitcoin getting the hype first before the altcoin, went bitcoin start moving and changing the trend from bearish to bullish bitcoin will be stagnant a few weeks after that altcoin will following the price of bitcoin for the movement.

Understanding the situation right now inside the market, bitcoin still bearish and since the domination still high with bitcoin alts are not performing
that good, you can't compare LTC with Doge since this two coins have their differences, you need to focus with possible potentials and not basing

Supply matter at some point in time. 100 years from now will be that many LTC and that many Doge. There will not be unlimited on any of them. But a finite number. When I look at emission supply, I always look how much coins will be in 2050. Year 2050 is far away but still not that far I will not live it.

In 2050, there will be:  
22.5 million Monero
20.96 million Bitcoin
83.9 million Litecoin
258 billion Doge


About halving you probably bought to late. Price of Litecoin increased a lot at start of the year.

maybe you need to learn Technical analysis so that one day there will be no more questions like the one you ask.
I have just seen a candle from the two coins LTC and Doge, for the 1D time frame LTC still shows that the downtrend has occurred since November 14, while Doge for the 1D time frame has shown an upward trend since November 10. and Doge has the potential to reach 35 sat until the end of November.
while LTC has the potential to fall to 0.0060xx until the end of November.

If I need to guess I would say that doge coin have better community. It's what I like about doge coin, and I always say pretty much the same things, it has awesome people, and even thou doge coin made for fun, doge survived all this years, its listed almost everywhere. On of the true decentralized coins in crypto.
Cause of the supply doge cant make some huge rise in near future, like until now we can expect occasional spikes, but nothing huge.

This is a very big fallacy that people seem to have. The fact that somehow if a coin has a lower supply, it will be significantly more valuable than a coin with more supply but with a lower nominal value.

All of this is purely nominal, and what matters ultimately is still fundamentals, the market cap, and stuff along the lines of that. The relative prices of coins as well as the circulating supply usually have very little to do with fundamentals.

LTC hasn't seem a lot of hype after the halving, while DOGE has always been a seasonal coin with big rallies and dumps in cycles. So it's not surprising that their performance were like this.

The market cap is the biggest factor here. You could have a coin with a supply of 1,000,000,000 but worth $1. But, you could also have a coin with a supply of 20,000,000 but only worth $.30. You have to grow the marketcap in order for the price to rise up. This is why a lot of times the price of altcoins ends up growing with Bitcoin. There's just more money in the market cap for people to invest into other coins.

I think it is not necessary to compare because Litecoin will certainly be much better. Currently, people still choose to invest this coin and always spend a lot of assets to invest.
