I just want to wish everyone on the forum a happy and hardy Thanksgiving holiday.
For those of you who are unaware of this national holiday,
Thanksgiving is one of the most cherished holidays in North America, celebrated in Canada and the United States, among other territories and countries. Being a secular holiday, in recent decades it's made it's way across the world as a tradition for many families, especially for families with members living (or having previously lived) in the US. It is focused on a traditional meal, shared with family and friends, which transcends nationality, culture, and politics.
Every family seems to make Thanksgiving their own, by including into their tradition a dish that stems from their ethnic background or special recipe for something typical. Our family Thanksgiving traditions include fresh falafel, kibbeh, and a barbecued turkey.
What are your Thanksgiving traditions?
