I doubt anyone could answer your question with 100% certainty. Volatility is one of the attributes of BTC after all. Considering the current situation though, imo, I doubt the bulls could push through 10k this year since they're pretty much having a hard time pushing through after the fall to 6.5k. The bulls managed to push through 7.5k now but that took honestly quite a few days. I'd say the bears let up a bit and are preparing to resist again after that fall back of theirs.

yes i think bitcoin can rise above 10000 usd . prices now about 7500 usd ; one week of small pump with holding can surge prices to over level 10000 usd . i hope trend of yesterday will continue till end of year at latest for making prices at high level again

that is true , bitcoin market is the only one that can move insanely up to 85% overnight.

this is a free market where everyone must aware that expecting to get high return quickly is just fair but also remember this is avery high risk investment at the same time as you can lose 95% of your investment within a day.
as for now i can feel the energy of market getting bored at the level of $7000 to $8000 at tops.

i will not let my expectation fly too high until the end of this year, watch and scalping whenever there is a chance.

Indeed. Trying to reach for 10k by the end of the year seems pretty hard, with how the bears and bulls fight has been ongoing right now, and well, I can say that bears have the advantage right now. Bulls just had the chance to pull away a bit on their side but it still doesn't reveal anything positive for them. If bulls manage to push through 8.4k resistance, BTC can probably manage to make it up to 9.5k or so. That is, if the bulls can push, which, is sad to say, doesn't seem likely to do so. I'm more in the situation where BTC has stabilized and bulls and bears can do neither against each other, so BTC would stay and stand still at 7k or so.

I don't think it's realistic at this point. If we're completely honest and look at the chart, it doesn't look good. Yes, we have seen a $1k increase from $6.5k, but that after we have gone down from $10k, so it's just another bounce.

Currently I am not buying because I am waiting for lower levels to be reached and dollar cost average into the market from there. If we go up from here that's fine too because I already have enough coins to be happy with.

Jesus, don't be so sloppy with your writing.  It stands out more when you only write a few words in a post that has more words than the title of the thread its in.

We've only got one more month to go for 2019, and I seriously doubt bitcoin is going to be pushing $10k by the end of it.  Anything is possible, of course, but there isn't any momentum in the market right now.  If bitcoin had been steadily moving up and had just reached $7500 I might be more inclined to believe it could hit $10k by the end of the year, but that's not the case.  It's been oscillating for a while now, not really picking a direction for long.

Next year ought to be better as far as the market finding a direction.  I don't think bitcoin is going to go the whole year just flatlined--but that's another thing I wouldn't put it past bitcoin to do.  I am never surprised when it does exactly what I figured it wouldn't, which is why my predictions always end up being wrong.  Here's to a better year in 2020.

This year had been a lot of dump and pumps. From $12k which stayed for a long time and suddenly this amount at $7k.
It could be an opening for newcomers. The cheapest we could get for me is 6k but I dont think that will come to that end this year.

The fact that we stayed at 5 digits is a signal that we ain't going back to a lower number than 5k. Corrections is over and it could just be the half of what the ATH this year have produced.

I think we may actually see an increase before the 2020 comes. Right now, we went thought a bear time where the price has moved from over 9 thousand dollars to under 7 thousand dollars, we have literally seen $6xxx prices for the first time in many months, we haven't been there since the price moved up from 3 thousands back in April.

Since, we started to move back down, we have been stuck and now went up, at around $7.5k last I checked which means we are actually moved out of bear but we may or may not be in bull run right now. So, we should be focusing on what we are going to do next, if we move higher a bit more that means $10k is quite possible (even if not $10k, we could be $9.3k or whatever) but if we get stuck this week that means we may not end up going too much up.

Everything is possible in the cryptocurrency market and no one can tell anything. In my opinion Bitcoin will be very difficult to reach $ 10,000 by the end of 2019. It could happen if the demand is large enough and the total BTC decreases, because it will be impossible to touch the price as you ask if the current demand is still very low.
But you need to know, no one is able to predict up to 100%

A $2,500 rally in the next 4.5 weeks? It's definitely possible; just look at the rally from $7,300 to $10,500 in late October. That short squeeze occurred over 3 days.

Is it likely? No. If you look at major historic downtrends and recoveries on the weekly BTC chart, we usually go sideways near the bottom for several weeks before any rally begins. Realistically, I'm looking at Q1 next year for a reversal to sustained upward pressure.

If not, let it happen by next year. The period is shorter today, we have one month remaining for the year to end but there can be a lot of things that might happen within that period.
