This would not be enough if I would be the one to budget my money though I don't have my own family to feed yet, I see 30:30:40 will not be enough because we need to allocate percentage to our bills and needs other than to our family. May be the ratio for me is 20:70:10 wherein 20 would be for savings, 70 for family, bills, self and other house expenses, and 10 only for gambling. You need not to spend more money in gambling as it risk your funds if you spend too much to it.

I agree with you. Gambling is supposed to be for fun, in the first place, and all the fun disappears when you lose too much money with it. I mean, if you spend $10 for going to see a movie, and you somehow lose $200 in the movie theater, it's hardly a fun experience, regardless of your impression of the movie itself.

I said earlier that you shouldn't spend on gambling in one day more than 10% of your daily income ever, and that it's better to keep it below 5%. But, of course, it depends on the bills you are getting. So maybe even 5% is too much for you.

Read that again. I said, 10% of your daily income, and I meant that as the maximum. At least losing such an amount you won't commit suicide, but of course it can still be a big amount to lose. I'm just trying to be realistic in my attempts of helping gambling addicts. If you tell them, don't gamble at all, it doesn't work. Spending not more than 10% of your daily income during one whole day of gambling is a good start, but you should be aiming to spend not more than 5%.

Our number 1 priority is our Family, so we work hard for them and just not to put all of our earnings to gambling. It's true you should care about your family either you gambler or not. But have you seen before that any addicted person much care about family's? Even they can't filled basic want of family due to addiction. I am not telling that only gambling is the addiction. There is more like drugs and related stuff. You have been very true here and that's usually how a gambler's brain works. Once he gets money the only thought they feel is deposit that into their gambling account whether its sports betting or dice and win big, the problem is that we are so emotionally affected by the past losses that it is nearly impossible to forget about loss and think about not loosing more. Yeah, only expert gamblers should spend 30 percent on gaming as they know it will come back to them in more than double but those who are not worried about losing or win should not waste time the should spend some amount they don’t consider important for them so they will get benefit from it. Indeed. I experienced not taking responsibilities because of addiction in gambling that i didn't provide the needs of my family that time, and i started to become selfish that all i think is gamble that time. But for now, i already learned and taught myself not to become useless and to become useful to my family, so i could provide the things that they need and not putting all of my time in gambling.

Very true! There are gamblers who are already in the deep influence of gambling side that they don't even care what will happen to his family as long as he's playing. This is the reason why there are so many cases of broken family owed to gambling. They forgot their responsibility because they allowed themselves to be eaten by the gambling system. Well, this is the worst. My wife is the reason why I stopped gambling my money instead of saving for our future. In the past, I am so addicted to gambling but with her help, I did stop my addiction. I am still gambling but I am not that addicted, I can stop myself. Here's the thing, if you can't stop gambling, just think of the future of your family. You have your loved ones in your responsibility, you should take care of them and if you can't then you are the worst, they don't deserve you.
