I live in my parents house so daily needs, bills, etc. is not my concern for now. As long as I don't have things to buy for my own. I deposited mimimum amount day by day if ever I lose. Also, what i'm depositing isn't money I borrow from my parents. Hell, I wouldn't do such kind of things to my parents just to sustain my gambling habit. Good reasoning there, I support it. One should never gamble with someone else's money, whether it be his/her friends', parents', relatives' or acquaintances' money. And when you have a family, yeah, the money you make aren't yours completely. I think the question has the presupposition that there is a certain amount needed for gambling. There is no money needed for gambling. It should be zero. If there is money used and intended for gambling, it is not because it has to be there or it is necessary or needed. Gambling should not be part of everyone's regular budget. The truth is that even if I like to gamble from time to time I always do it in a very controlled manner and I strive to never lose control of how much money I have lost not only during that particular session but in that particular week or month, I really do not think that this is about being single or being married, whatever your marital status is you need to take care of your money and while there is nothing wrong with gambling once in a while it can become a problem if you get addicted to it.

Exactly! And as I also observed some of the people that maybe we can say "below average" people or poor are still gambling, I don't think it will solve their poverty.

And also consider those people who are gambling just to be entertain only. Family first before everything else, you should feed first the family before spending some of your money in a very risky way which is gambling.

Indeed, it won't but somehow they put some risk for the sake that they'll might be lucky someday and become an instant millionaire. But the sad note is that they never realize how much they lose for many years they've been doing this.

I think that is enough if you can use 5-10% of your earning to play gambling because I am sure that it will not disturb your daily needs, especially for your family. That percentage is fair enough to be used for playing gambling, but if you use that percentage every day, I don't think that will be good because your money will be allocated to gambling than for your family. But if that percentage is for you to play gambling for a month, then that is good because you don't have to worry if you will lose much money in gambling. And as long as you can control yourself in using the money, you will not have a problem while you are playing gambling.

I think that is enough if you can use 5-10% of your earning to play gambling because I am sure that it will not disturb your daily needs, especially for your family. That percentage is fair enough to be used for playing gambling, but if you use that percentage every day, I don't think that will be good because your money will be allocated to gambling than for your family. But if that percentage is for you to play gambling for a month, then that is good because you don't have to worry if you will lose much money in gambling. And as long as you can control yourself in using the money, you will not have a problem while you are playing gambling.

Agree and after all, it's not always you just spend money on gambling of that percentage and at least there is definitely a good time to earn from gambling. Anyway, the decision to quit is better but there will definitely be a certain time for you to come back again to gamble even though it is only done occasionally using money that is not much I feel also it is not a problem because you still prioritize the family.

I am single , so I dont really have to take out money for the family . Gambling for me has been a personal affair and is always going to be , so I dont think I would be ever disclosing my wins to my family. I have ad would have a job with good salary to support my family , beside that gambling wins can go to fulfill desires .

I think that portion of your earnings are still good compared to what I did before, I spent all of my salary to gamble. Thats the time I became addicted and almost lose my family because of this addiction. Good thing I overcome that stage of my life and now im focus on my family. These are selfish gamblers and do not realize there are families that must be prioritized and mandatory, and such people cannot take care of and love their family well even though the purpose is for the family but it is wrong.

I just need an excess budget for my gambling lucky bets, and the rest of that money was allocated for family budget and emergency funds for health. That doesn't need to set aside huge amount of money intended for gambling, we just have to use little amount only to enjoy gambling in a simple ways.
