Hi,

I planned to make a desktop wallet and use an external plate in the installation option. After installation I created a BTC adress to use it as payout adress for an cash out from a affiliate program. The BTC where sended, but I reconized, that the syncronisation for the new wallet ist taking extrem much time (my working laptop is pretty old, got around 0.05% per hour progress).

Now I want to know if it's possible to "move" the wallet/ the adress the money was sended to to an other wallet (a service like bitpay or so).

Hope u understand what I mean.

Short:
Created Bitcoin Core wallet --> Created BTC adress --> send money to that adress --> Wallet sync will take weeks --> Want use the receiving adress anywhere else (Bitpay)

Thanks!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Hi, this guide might be helpful for you: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transferring_coins_from_Bitcoin-Qt_to_Electrum

It outlines the steps for getting your private keys to import to electrum.

It is possible to extract the private key without synchronising the wallet. Go to Help>Debug Window > Console.
Type the following commands:
If it is encrypted, type:
walletpassphrase PASSWORD 600

If not, skip that and go directly to this step:
dumpprivkey bc1

Replace them accordingly and you should obtain your private key. After that, you can import it into a wallet like Electrum.

I will suggest a simple solution, export your private key as described above by @ranochigo and check which address you had used to receive fund. Then install electrum in your phone and import private key that genarated address for you. Now install electrum on your PC and create a new wallet which you will use permanently. Write down recovery phrase on multiple safe places. And write down some private keys which you will use mostly. Then send all fund to your new address from PC wallet. I think it's simple solution without technical knowledge and without risk. I use electrum and I think it's quite eaiser from other clients. Be sure you download and verified from original website https://electrum.org/

But I will not suggest to use Bitpay. It's more complicated than Electrum and fees are quite high.

Ok.

I downloaded electrum and the installer ask me what to do: I choose the last option "Import private keys/ Adresses".

Then It ask me for the private keys I want to import and I paste the codes I get from the BTC Core wallet Console after doing what u write.
It looks like it accepted (no error message or something and the electrum wallet opened).

The fresh electrum wallet shows no value. I looked around and just under the tab "adresses" it shows 2 BTC adresses (not the ones I had on Core) with a green marker.
Now Im confused. I think maybe wait a bit time, but after a few hours I don't know if something is wrong.

Try to import your private key again, but with prefix "p2wpkh-p2sh:" (for Bitcoin address with prefix 3), "p2wpkh:" (for Bitcoin address with prefix bc1) or "p2pkh:" (for Bitcoin address with prefix 1) instead.

Code:
p2wpkh-p2sh:<your private key>
p2wpkh:<your private key>
p2pkh:<your private key>

Copy your Bitcoin address and paste it into any Bitcoin block explorer, for example, this explorer: --->https://www.blockchain.com/

 1. If there is a balance you can move to the second step, else ask the affiliate program support team.
 2. Latest Bitcoin Core (0.19.0.1) supports bc1  format by default of so you need to choose. p2wpkh: Your private key.
 3. If the address does not start with bc1, use these codes.

Don't show your private key to anyone, and exchange funds to a new wallet.
Try to avoid Bitpay wallet.
