New monero doesn't support payment id type address anymore

I'm not sure what that means? I've been mining xmr for just a few months with only two cards and a cpu. so im kinda of a noob.

On the 30th when xmr started using randomX I upgraded my monero wallet to v.0.15.0.1

on miningpoolhub, the pool I use they posted

- Monero hardforked. Update your miner as it needs new algo named RandomX.
New monero doesn't support payment id type address anymore. (If you inserted address with dot before, then you are using payment id address type)

what does insert address with dot mean? I cant figure out how to insert my receiving address properly or exactly what it is they're asking for  Sad

In my updated monero wallet v.0.15.0.1 the receiving address is the same string of characters as it was in the old version.

I feel like miningpoolhub is asking me to paste a new receiving address or payment address but I don't know what i should be trying to copy/paste.

Id really like to withdrawal the coin I've mined over the past two weeks but iI am stuck.

thanks for reading this
any advice, suggestions or urls to read that would help get my withdrawals working again would be greatly appreciated

Payment ID address is a kind of a determinant that you are the one sending/receiving a transaction.

For more information on how this works, see: https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/4338/what-is-a-payment-id-and-why-is-it-used

Normally, you only need to have a receiving address and you will get paid almost immediately for the case of other cryptocurrencies.. However for the case of XMR prior to the fork, an identifier known as payment ID is needed to send/receive payments if you're using a regular address.

I don't think I ever used a payment id before. I had clipboard/pasted the receiving address that is a long string of characters provided from the wallet. Do you know if or what new info they are asking me me to paste in the payment address box or "payout to" box?

right now on miningpoolhub.com my "payment address" box and my "payout to" boxes both have my receiving address in them. should they now look different from each other after the wallet update? what new info is the miningpoolhub asking me for from my wallet in order to begin to receive transactions again to the new upgraded wallet  IYO?

I feel like I'm not supplying the pool with the proper info they want based on that quote

because i havent received payment to the upgraded wallet 0.15.0.1 by trying to cash out

but i dont know what exactly they are asking me to copy/paste differently than from the receiving address that was working before

Sorry I can't help you but you could probably get more answers if you ask in the Monero ANN https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.0 The thread is pretty active.
