Hello!  I'm wondering if someone could say about the defunct exchange Bitcoinmarket.com
- Does the website stored Bitcoin on their account so the owner used to have all private key of his customers?
IF it's the case, how contact him because he hidden all things about himself and use a compagny for keep secret his privacy life
If it's not the case, we just needed to leave a public key and they, customers own they private key?

Not a lot of people nowadays can knows about this topic as 95 pour cent of people here nowadays involved after Bitcoinmarket.com is closed .. even for people who still here, their memories getting poor about

But I thank to everyone who will contribute at answer on this topic

Any answer are appreciate

Found their discussion thread New exchange (Bitcoin Market)

Yes just like any other centralized exchanges, they held/controlled the bitcoins. dwdollar's last active date is almost a year but they are involved in an altcoin called GCC (check their signature) so may wanna try reaching out thru that coin's channels.

And no, you can't get a private key from a public key.

Pretty sure the wayback machine has many old snapshots of the website, have you looked into it? see: https://web.archive.org/web/20240000000000*/https://www.bitcoinmarket.com/

You can't login of course but I saw snaps from "recent trades" tab, for instance:

Good morning

you could be polite enough to respond Mr. Dustin, a lot of people are looking for you here!

have you seen mt gox?

This story could end badly if you play dead all the time, plus your address is on the internet in Oklahoma!
where are my bitcoins!

I have remained calm until now for 3 years since I contacted you but now I am a little angry!

there is a time for diplomacy and a time for action! diplomacy is done!

I wrote to the amf and here is the response: Sir,
I am coming back to you in the context of the dispute between you and Bitcoinmarket.com.
As you know, the AMF Mediator intervenes in any financial dispute
falling within the scope of the AMF.
However, the AMF can carry out checks concerning PSANs when they are registered or
approved.
Indeed, PSANs which provide the following services:
- Conservation on behalf of third parties or access to digital assets (1),
- Purchase or sale of digital assets in legal tender (2),
- Exchange of digital assets for other digital assets (3) and
- Operating a digital asset trading platform (4)
must, before carrying out their activity, register with the AMF if:
- They are established in France; Or
- They provide these services in France.
Furthermore, service providers established in France may, with a view to providing, as their usual profession
one or more digital asset services, request approval from the AMF.
Apart from cases of compulsory registration and optional approval, I cannot, as a
AMF mediator, validly intervene.
In this case, Bitcoinmarket.com is currently neither approved nor registered with the AMF. A
mediation procedure under my aegis cannot therefore be undertaken.
However, for all practical purposes, I inform you that your file will be transmitted to the AMF services in
responsible for the registration procedure.
Please accept, Sir, the expression of my distinguished consideration.

Found their discussion thread New exchange (Bitcoin Market)
In that thread, dwdollar had a post with an email address for support.

Another way to hope for support is sending an email to bitcoinmarket@gmail.com

Two newbie accounts appeared here to ask something and I don't know where they were from 2010 to 2019?

Asking for support 9 years (in 2019) and 14 years (2024) after that exchange was closed long time ago, is something odd and hopelessly. I were not here in 2010 but from the owner account (dwdollar), without red trust, negative trust feedback, it seems that exchange was closed without issues to customers.

I found the same email address after checking that user's profile. However, if he has no intention to do anything about the coins OP is talking about, I don't see him being interested in communicating with OP over email.

There is another email address that you can try. dwdollar collected PayPal donations for Bitcoin Market in 2010 through dustin.dollar@gmail.com. But again, the chances are small that you get a response.

Donations are greatly appreciated:
