Like seriously, ICOs? I thought they are dead and gone as I have not come across any for months now. But on a more serious note, after all the fraudulent activities they are known for i thought we would be wise by not giving attention to any of them again. Nevertheless, to be on the safer side, stop investing in so called ICO because they are easy to exit scam or come up with many reasons not to list, just focus on good coins out there like Bitcoin or if you have an urge of investing in upcoming projects then IEOs is better off, although issues still exists.

ICO which is managed by a scammer and has been planned from the beginning will be very difficult to detect as an ICO scam.
They will only cheat and carry off investors' money for their own interests.
but as great as any ICO scammer will definitely get caught, because in this forum many are doing analysis to find out ICO scammers and stop it.
ICO is not popular and has been replaced with IEO, but IEO also seems to be a new den for smart scammers.

Currently, investing in ICOs is a huge risky situation. The vast majority of ICOs are either turned into scams or canceled because its did not raise enough funds. And i think this will continue as long as there is no positive movement in altcoin prices. Therefore, it is a safer and more logical way to invest in top subcoins instead of taking any such risk at this stage.

Can anyone suggest to me how to choose the scam icos ?
How to choose ICO scam? I don't think it needs to be chosen because all ICOs are a scam for now, there are lots of fake projects out there, because you know you can create your own ICO project for only $50 Go to Fiverr.com and search for ICO

The will invest very low amounts into the project and started stealing higher amounts through the ICO listing with fake ranks.

everything is very unpredictable as you say, so if you want to invest in ico you must be ready to lose your money. because there are so many ico's that come out every day and 80% of them are scams. it's better to invest in existing coins and have a real project, than you gamble with ico coins.

For sure at this moment people are already aware now about this thing, that even ICO listings are scam, that they are doing something for their own benefit and not to help crypt investors, everything nowadays is about the money, so I really don't know if we can still trust ICO nowadays or better to say, ICO already ended as well as IEO, due to the fact that investors are not really benefiting on it.

Indeed, most of them are made to deceive people and take advantage on them that is the reason why many of us are still doubt to invest in ICO's and it's not our fault to feel that way because many of us have experienced it. I don't underestimate their capabilities but we can't change the fact that the reputation of ICO's are ruined because of scam issues. It should be the reason why we have to be cautious particularly these days because some of us is can easily deceive by their words and we tend to believe in them without making sure.

ICO sometimes use fake identity so it will harder for investors to caugh any one of them. While IEO the new trend is making a noise but scammer also have a way to enter with the trend by using not so popular exchange to make thier IEO. Since many exchange want to also earn from IEO they make it without reviewing all the important things about the project. Then failed to maintain the price after its listed.

There are a lot of Icos ongoing without specific products. I still believe many of them are going to give us a huge adoption in this space. But the problem is many Icos are planning to get investments by providing nothing with a solid scamming exit plan. You won't be able to trace them by reading their WP, Team, activities even company formation. Recently I saw an ICO, they were genuinely working to do something but later they ran away with a bit of raised money. They closed their website, TG group and everything. This is the same way thousand other ICO scammed their investors, they just make the investors convince that they are working hard to come up with a product and then they will plan the exit when they are able to earn the maximum benefit with their planned scams, i cannot find many projects that survived for a very long time and i used to trust the market in the beginning but then when the momentum shifted when they were not able to deliver in time i knew all these project developers are in for the easy money and majority of them made and moved on with their life and the real looser is the investor. Can anyone suggest to me how to choose the scam icos ?
Invest in any project that delivers big profit and you can find many in the market .

There are many fake projects on the market. It takes investment in fake projects. How do we determine whether a project is good or bad? Does that mean it's good that he makes us money? We are in a very cruel market.

There is no how to guide of how to avoid scammers. Even good looking projects can turn out to be trash, but a it is enough to look into whitepaper of a project that aims to collect 5 million USD and if this WP consists of 5 pages, you can skip this project.

You knew all these about ICOs and yet went further to invest in them; sorry about what happened to you but I hope you learnt the hard lesson which is, ICOs are more fraudulent. It is very difficult nowadays to finds any genuine ICO because they hardly have any tangible thing to offer or any genuine products they are already working on, it is always " we are working to offer this type of service" but there is no proof that they have started anything at all, and once they get the required funds they exit scam. Stop giving ear to them and save yourself from headaches and heartaches.

Now there are no such projects where you can find a white pager of 5 pages. scammers are now creating the truest story. all whitepapers are now done with high quality

In my experience, right now is much better to invest in solid projects, already listed. Some of them have working product, but not enough customers to significantly affect tokens price. And such projects can be crazily undervalued, comparing to big ones, listed on top exchanges. Try to find projects with less than 1mil mcap, they should have a working product and actively trying to find customers. Better if they already have a few. To make sure they won’t run out of funds, check their ICO adress and try to ask them for their financial info, if they’ve sold collected funds for usd. I can’t say there are a lot of such projects, but you’ll definitely find 2-3 good ones and that will be enough. My personal expectation is that those will bring a fortune, either during next bull run, or if they’ll succeed in their customers acquisition. It’s a risky investment for sure, but much less risky, than investing in ICOs with 10mil+ mcap, which have nothing but an idea or hype behind it.

You never know what is legit what is scam, people only make speculation base on their research., and you need do that too. Research not only from whitepaper but from situation from icos itself. If now icos mostly fail then don't invest for safer choice.

You want to choose scam ico's? Why would you want to do that? Like seriously, ICOs? I thought they are dead and gone as I have not come across any for months now.
If they're not, they should be. If Op wants to pick which ico's are scams, just make up a big list of them and throw a dart at it. Guaranteed the dart will land on a scam one. It sounds like people are starting to get smart and aren't falling for these things anymore, and that's good. Any time someone invested in a scam ico, it emboldened the scammer and perpetuated the whole cycle of creating a new ico, recruiting bounty hunters to advertise it, and running away with the money in the end. Good riddance. I can't believe that there still quite small of a population for people believing in ICOs. They might be the ones that are either hoping for its resurrection or they're pretty much new to these projects.
And they're the true suckers if they think any of that. Hopefully now that the ico market is dead or at least dying, it will clear the way for legitimate uses of the Eth blockchain and similar platforms like Neo.

Many ICO will continue to scam people, their major aim is to scam the people and that is all. I know of an exchange that keeps conducting an IEO and sometimes pump hell off the coin and will later dump before conducting the next IEO, anyone who is lucky just make money. I see some ICO/IEO as a form of technical Ponzi.

That normally happens in ICOs. You must stop and remove your interest with them, it's going to be a repetitive actions from these ICO companies that really don't have something to offer to the people. They are good in money collection and promising such activities that will hype the investors but in reality, there's no actual use case for whatever coin they are promoting.

There are perhaps hundreds of topics in the forum about it. But you can not find a thought to explain how a scam project can be recognized in any of them, because it is very difficult. To recognize the scam project you need to know good projects. Actually, there is no thought to define good project too. But, after you can discriminate the good ones, you will be able to recognize the scam ones. Each of these is an experience acquired identification system, which is the only way to survive.
