Who told you gambling is the best way to spend money? Is that what you learned from your parents? The best way to spend money is for our basic needs like food and water.

Gambling is entertainment only. No one should expect to earn regularly from it.

I don't that he was trying to say is that gambling is the best way to spend money but it could be the fastest way to spend money. I just read in the newspaper that a certain person won the jackpot price for about 14 million( Philippine money) but he got lost it less than a year. The 2nd point should not be done with money that's meant for important things because you will have double problems, being broke and unable to  settle bills the fund was meant for, while 1st point can be used to increase money if wisdom and discipline is applied.
It's an absolute rubbish to think you can get rich overnight by becoming a gambler and it's also an absolute rubbish to think that you can't make some profit with gambling.

I disagree with your school of thought as where there isn't hope, there's no life. In everything we do in life, hope is what keep us moving forward and that's the same reason we're are part of this technology (bitcoin) and forum. Back to the topic, supposedly you have alot of money and intend reducing them, then the best thing to do is to engage in charity donation more often and in matter of time you would have given out to the poor in a ratio you won't have imagine. And here's is the plus side to this gesture, givers never lack and so the riches will keep coming.

If you're interested in increasing your wealth than make gambling a profession and go aquire the required skills and resources. The average gambler relys on luck and since that isn't a constant phenomenal you can't based your earning on luck.

I agree that most of the people are from the second option,they are poor people trying to make some extra money with gambling which is totally wrong.You can’t do this with gambling.There are better and healthier ways like trying to work more and if you are not capable then you should invest in gaining some serious workforce skill and try to improve their life.Udemy is a good start for this.

You are encouraging gamblers to gamble but then again you said that it is not something that will increase their profit? Then why said it in the first place?

A lot of money or not that a lot of money, people should not even gamble. Yes, you have a lot of money but that does not ensure you that you will be getting a lot of profit out of gambling. This is gambling and it ruined a lot of lives in the past, and even if you have less or more money to start, that would not be an exception for gambling not to destroy your life. Not really gambling is to blame here but yourself to even gamble. Anything can really happen in gambling and most of them is you losing not winning.

OP's just trying to say that gambling could put your life upside down, and it will never failed to disappoint you by opposing what you wanted, like what he mentioned. It is better to raise some awareness in gambling rather than self coating it with white lies, pretending that we could make money on it if we try but it is not that easy to begin with.

This is one of the most fundamental mistakes committed by majority of the gamblers. They shall understand that the house is not happy when they win huge money. I agree with you, I mean people who consider gambling as a source of earning money, they're mostly end up broke or they're just so smart gambling like earning once and then disappear! Gambling is really so risky, It's based on luck and you can't even do anything about that, I personally do gambling just for fun, I'm just using few bucks as well. I believe you have a very wrong idea about games. Let's imagine that two basketball teams will be playing with each other. you want to bet on the team that in your opinion will win the game, what should you do?

1 -) You should research both teams (how many games each team played, how many wins and losses each team had, how many wins and losses each team had playing at home and playing away from home)

2 -) You must manage your bankroll (not bet all your money in just one game)

With these two points fulfilled, you will be making a bet with the expectation of winning the bet. No one goes to a game to lose, we all want to win the game.
