How Effective Telegram SCAM report ?

Just few days back I have seen a accusation against a ponzi scheme which were advertised on telegram.

That a Telegram channel advertised a ponzi scheme so called "vinexbtc". I think that website already scammed users and skipped as well although website still live and we should be careful.

I a result all subscriber of this channel who had invested by their invitations report that channel. And as far as I know only that channel advertised this scam. And eventually Telegram marked them as scam channel.

 

So your report would effective to prevent scam. Every channel and telegram group have report option. So whenever you will see any possible scam then you should use it. Whenever someone suddenly add you on any channel or group then don't just report as a spam. See group if anything is scammy there then use report from upper right corner. You may report other and describe about their scam.

I think only that guys who is so called "Trading Crypto Coach" is behind of that scam. Most likely he have scammed his subscriber. Every day he had pushed to invest. When I have seen his message some times I thought, "am I missing something?". So imagine now who do no have idea about ponzi scheme they will invest blindly. So I am suspecting lots of subscribers got fucked of this channel.

So guys please use report to prevent scam. Just don't make spam report, report manually them as a scam. When so many report will receive then Telegram will marked them as a SCAM.

Nice. Glad to see now that if there's a ton of report for the telegram channel/group chat, there's a label of something about the channel like SCAM.
Btw, here's the quick and easy on how we can report a channel on telgram.

• Go in the channel you want to report and click the 3 dots upper right corner, and
• Select the reason for your report, done.

Scammers will always try to find a new way to defraud and they might do it again using a different telegram group or another medium. I am a member of this telegram channel I join it to be updated with the latest news about cryptocurrency and they are really helpful and updated. Also, there are some trading tips but I don't bother trying it on exchanges. If this is the only channel promoting this Vinexbtc maybe this channel has some connection with the said website and this is their goal from the start, maybe I'm right or maybe wrong.

I almost fall into this vinexbtc mlm they are launching because I have been following this signal group for some months now and fortunately I did not push through to invest any amount because at first I have doubt that such kind of mlm programs are mostly scam thanks for your warning OP I also sent now a report scam on telegram I hope telegram admins will deactivate this channel immediately.

Well, I'd say those people have had enough and instead of reporting, they just let it go. I've had moments like those and honestly, being scammed at times is really tiring and even if I did report them, the time spent and money spent wouldn't really come back to me even if I do perform such actions which is kinda sad as an attitude. I've recently started changing this attitude of mine and am trying to actively report scammers now adays.

I still wish for the automatic scam detection thingy in the world or rather, why can't just scammers stop scamming others and cooperate instead to earn money and develop projects jeez.

As usual, the loop would still continue.Hence, these scammers will just easily create a new group and if its tagged then repeat the same process.
We should really be alert on reporting these faggots so that no one would be victimized by their schemes until they do get tired and might possibly

I am very glad that the telegram has a similar function. Moreover, it applies not only to the channels themselves, but also to their owners.
As far as I know, even if the owner changes the name of the account, the label “SCAM” will remain hanging no matter what.
The only thing that worries me is the possibility of abuse of this feature by scammers to eliminate competitors.

This is a very helpful function in Telegram indeed! But let's be honest, if someone randomly decides to report a channel as a scam although it is not, will this be fair? What about Telegram channels where you can find the latest information on such a ponzi scheme like Vinex, does anyone know such channels?

People have to be responsible for all of their activities and decisions. Greediness and inability to control greediness are the root causes of all bad decisions that result in falling in to scam.

I heard stories from some of people around me or read from newspapers that people scammed and lost all or most of their savings. Some of them lost money that they borrowed from banks or (more terribly) from black markets. Digging deeper into their cases with my neutral perspective, they got scammed because they are greedy (with promised high interest rates, for instance).

In financial journey, greedy people always lose money, no matter which financial games they join, in stock, bonds, real estate, or crypto.

I believe they apply quantitative metrics on this one, one of them is about 'how many reported the scam channel'. So, it's not like a user reports it as a scam and they got closed down an hour later. However, it's possible that this can get abused too. I personally know at least one user who got the scam tag but later it was removed. Dunno what happens but he probably reported his case to Telegram and explain why he should not be tagged as a scammer.

Scams are happening almost everywhere. Many people are losing their accumulated savings due to these scammers. Same situation at Telegram. They usually scam through this group by creating a group that does not have a matching scam. If you see a new group in the telegram, the report against them needs to be killed so that they will not be able to do such work later. We should all be careful.

I appreciate telegram stepping up and providing users to report certain groups but I think somehow this should be implemented against individuals as well in order to be fully effective. If there is a reason why they haven't implemented it then I would like to see that as well.

Awesome information I really appreciate your efforts to mark out those scams, these set of people has cost many telegram user pain by claiming what they are not some even go to am Extence of cloning some Potential  Account claiming to a the original personel. Let try avoid be scam to send your fund to any person on telegram claiming to one thing or other most of them are scam, always take your time verify the person that send you messages on telegram before any deal  if at all you want to...

We should spread any news about a scam group whether it's in telegram or not. It is a cool feature if there are lots of people report a group as a scam then they will get tag as scam and those who didn't know will be notified that it is a scam if the telegram group is opened by a person.

Probably, there's an appeal for those who got tagged as scam wrongly and became a victim of report abuse.

Why do they only add the Scam tag, why don't they ban the scammer and close his channel!?
As in the example you provided, a tagged scammer can simply use a silly excuse like: TG tagged me because many haters/competitors falsely reported me".
Also I am curious to know if they investigate each case even if there are few members who reported the channel! I believe they react based on the number of reports not how accurate they are though (hope am wrong about this)
