Hello
So nowadays less and less people trust ICO projects due to their past of scams and false promises. I would like to support projects that are self-funded and work day and night in order to make their project succeed.
I would suggest that we open a topic for self-funded projects where investors and members that would be interested can invest or at least check the project.
Self-funded projects do not have unlimited funds for marketing and promoting themselves like ICO's. Why not help them with project awareness?
After all, we all want to avoid scammers and unprofitable investments. I'm not sure if this is within forum rules tho.. (advertising projects)
Please tell me what you think, or if mods allow you can share self-funded project in the comments.
Thanks for your opinion in advance.

Self funded projects are not many in crypto space but they are always good, the only one i know more about is Apollo currency, privacy coin at its best, the reason why i venture into this project is because of the CEO, already a rich guy though but damn the project is so good, i was able to feel the zeal of wanting the project to succeed, the hardworking and everything is present unlike others who rely only on ico funds

if the project finances itself, this does not mean that it will be successful and allocating it as a recommendation for investment will not be right. I think that each person at this market is able to find such projects by himself if he is interested in it, so I would not create a separate topic for this. I am interested in what other forum members think about this. maybe such a thread would be relevant specifically for beginners

That a project is self funded, is not a guarantee that it isn't a money grab project, because as soon as they are listed on exchange, they can dump their coins and then take to their heels. We have had quite a number of them, that are now dead coins. Going by what @Byakuga said, if you are not convinced about such project, it is better you don't invest in it, after listing on exchange.

After ICO or other crowdfunding no one believed. The OP said that supporting projects that will stand alone or do not require fundraising is precisely a good election, and that also has a point. but the project is not entirely successful or running as desired, investors support it but sometimes too much manipulation. I think that assumption depends on someone looking at a project, and one project that certainly has potential is new ideas and innovations, problem solving, and how important the project is present. fully if the project has good prospects, surely someone will support it, and for sure the problem of funds will be easily achieved.

And also people are more trust and interest with self-funded project because the project team is really sure their project will have some profits for them and the quality of the project must be guaranteed, and they willing to spend their capital to build the project which really promising for investors

Be careful when looking for self funded projects, they have their aims as well and its no different from still exiting with users fund in the end, self funded means nothing but most times self funded projects are well taken care of because the money is from the dev pocket
Actually the project funded by the team itself is good, only they will be difficult to succeed because there are no supporters or supporting partners for the continuity of the project, so the potential to stop in the middle of the road is very open, and if successful also very extraordinary.

I think this is fine creating a thread dedicated to self-funded projects. but do not expect all of them are real because I once participated in the self-funded project and the team decided to dump all of their coins after the community helped them listing it on the exchange, there is a possibility for them to scam you.

you can find it enough in one thread in announecements, you can start reading each project with the goal, if their project is self-funded it means they don't need to hold an ICO and IEO, so I think they want to develop together with everyone even if it's from their funds , but projects like this are rarely supported, but my advice is to get used to projects with up to 1 or 3 years if they are still alive and active, it is a good project, so there is no need to make another new thread about self-funded projects

It doesn’t matter if it is a Self-funded project or ico because in both cases the projects can be fraudulent. Day and night can work projects that are collected on ico, and it can also be the other way around.

It's true that you can't assure yourself because you don't know people's true intention these days there is a huge chance that they will take advantage of you and that is the reason why up until now many of us still have trust issue when it comes to ICO's or even self-funded projects. Well it can be an advantage for you if you have enough understanding on researching because in that way you can easily identify which project can be beneficial to you. We don't have to underestimate their capabilities but there are a lot of possible scenarios so be cautious.

Self funded projects are good in my opinion! but just be sure it has a true use case with real world application, because if it has no use case at all, it was the same as others, maybe it will become pump and dump scheme or a useless token. self funded projects with real world use case has a better chance to create demands and drive its token price higher, fluctuation would be minimal since no ICO tokens will be dump.

Self-funded projects are difficult to find for now because projects that now raise a lot of funds through ICO or IEO now don't trust many anymore because the promises they offer are always ignored or fake. If there are self-funded projects, the project will definitely be successful because they are serious about building projects so that successful developers will continue to be active and work optimally because they are paid with bids that have been agreed.

There was a time when self funded projects were another form of making money in the Cryptocurrency space, a time when people started losing faith in ICOs so some people decided to use the self-funded tactics, start a project, get a token and pay for exchange listing, hype the project and then investors would start buying from the exchange and they end up raising more funds than some ICOs, a projects is self funded doesn't guarantee that it's genuine, beware.

I don't think you understand that it was the self funded projects in the space that kick start ICOs, another thing to ask is how will you know the team is not going to disappear or abandon the project with time. People seems to be making a mistake that any failed projects are scam, no. Thanks to Satoshi but the issue of scaling Bitcoin is still not solved, if not for funding Blockstream receives the development side would have stalled by now

Self-funded crypto projects are very few in numbers! I haven't seen many self-funded projects this year, but Pngme, Fleta, Blockburn are self-funded projects, and they all are great profitable coins, though Pngme coin hasn't listed in exchanges yet!

Self funded projects doesn't make a project genuine entirely, this is because some self funded projects still have the sole aim of creating hype around the project, listing on exchange and dumping on investors. This is another finetuned strategy to rip investors in a less suspicious manner. Well, overall most self funded projects are more genuine than ICO projects, even though some people misinterpret the true meaning of "self funded projects".

Our project was self-funded, no ICO and we are growing, more and more users joining. But it's rare, also I think we treat our own hard-earned money more serious than some other coins who got it easy, given on the plate.

it can work if there is a team that wants to start with their own funds and then announce to the public that the project is running and investors can enter too. but for the problem of unlimited funds, in my opinion it will only make the project not have a clear hard cap so it will be difficult to reach the target. it would be better if the hard stamp remained set then if there were funds that exceeded it, it could be called the great success of a project.

Self-funded projects have a high risk of failure if they cannot do the right marketing and fund management. Because the funds are limited with their own funds. A strong community is needed to achieve success. I have participated in projects whose sources of funds use their own money, but in the middle of the project the project ran out of funds and was then abandoned. It will be very painful and disappointing. There should be some fundraising, but for now don't use ICO, because it's no longer trusted.
