ANN is the short form of the announcement. ANN thread is a thread in which something is declared. For example, if a new company or a new currency arrives in the market, the company or the currency publishes them through the ANN thread. The [ANN] text is used at the beginning or end of the title to separate the announcement thread from all other threads.

Most of the time, if the coin/project has an ANN (announcement thread), you can just google "coin/project ANN" and something will show up. That's the main/first thread created about the project/coin, as explained above, where usually is all the technical information about it.

ANN means Announcement. At first, i really dnt know what ann means, at first, i thought it was a Name, but Then i research about ann and  say that it is shortcut for announcement meaning. Then I know If anyone like to Announce their project on bitcointalk they are making ANN thread like ICO, Exchange and gambling. The word ANN means an announcement. If something new comes up in the forum, it's announced via ANN. As if a new currency or token is actually on the market if a new side is open. Also, if a project or exchange side is added, you will know it through ANN. Unbeknownst to them, they will find out very easily through ANN.

That's not the truth. Not everyone creating announcement topics are lazy. When making a topic, there's a maximum amount of characters allowed so it's all about keeping things simple and precise. Afterwards it became a trend and gets things done.

@OP  ANN == Announcement – But you should consider using the former in your topics. No one is interested in seeing the full spelling + it'll save you more characters.

Obviously, ANN and announcement are the same. But you must take note of the limited characters allowed in the Subject/Title box.

Anyone can, but you need to be a Jr. Member or a Copper Member for the images to display. Merits is not related, besides the fact that you need at least 1 to become a Jr. Member (Activity criteria aside).

Everyone can create ANN topics but there are some restrictions to make ANN with images (Copper membership solves restrictions) but there are some boards that you have to be at least Member (in Serious Discussion) and Full member (in Ivory Tower) to post.

Anyways, it's important to read some context on the thread because your post might have 90-100% similar thought on the others and can be deleted by the moderators for low-quality posting. It should be a discussion, think about something unique and avoid repeating similar statements, thoughts, and usage of words.

I do not think that lazy because ANN means that when an update or new information is announced for announcement it is first communicated through ANN so that everyone can be aware of this information Able to get.

From what i know, ANNOUNCEMENT is just abbreviated as ANN because the title space has a limited amount of characters one has to use. Ir has nothung to do with Laziness.

It's an abbreviation for the announcement, and new projects made their announcement in the announcement section, big and small projects are doing their announcement in these sections, top coins in the market have done their announcement there, investors and bounty hunters often check this section for a project that they want to invest in.
