Hi all,
I'm a complete newbie and have just set up my first rig to mine doge coin with one Radeon 7950 card to begin with.

I'm using cgminer miner on Ubuntu.
I'ce tried mining on fast pool and on poolerino but on both I get between 7-24k/hash.

Whereas, however, my cgminer shows 480k/hash.

How can I improve this?

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Edit: now it's only 3k/hash

Sounds like you're using the wrong intensity

Thanks for the reply mate.

What intensity shoul dI be mining at?

My current config is :
./cgminer --scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://doge.poolerino.com:3333 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password --intensity 18 --gpu-powertune 20

on the pool the difficultu shows as 16 right now

I've tried intensity as low as 13 and as high as 20 but still the same result. I also switched pools to multipool and increased my difficulty to 96 but still not getting higher than 21k/hash

Did you overclock ??  Looks like you got rejected shared or hardware errors..

Try running on stock clock first

I haven't done anything to the card. I brought a used one but I don't think it is over clocked. If i set the difficulty to 192 and intensity to 13 then I can get up to 133k hash now. I've got an MSI 7950/OC card. Maybe this is overlocked alreayd but as I brought it used I didn't receive any booklets or even the original box with it lol

What would oyu suggest as th ebest difficulty/intensity ratio? What is the best hash rate I can achiev eon this on the pool? I would have thought 400-500 surely?

You're using a newer version of CGMiner that doesn't support Scrypt mining.  You need the version of CGMiner that is included in GUIMiner.  I had the same problem an no one was able to help me either.  Strange that thus isn't widely known.

Thanks for your reply.

I am actually using cgminer-2.11.4-x86_64-built on ubuntu.

I haven't used any newer versions yet as I haven't researched which support scrypt and which don't.

I do however get a lot of messages like "startum connection to server interrupted" and server not responding but it always ocntinues after this and accepts a block every now and then but most of the time says new block detected.
