The fight could happen in February and March, I have watched some of Dasmarinas fight and he will be an underdog in this fight, even if he has a good straight punch, he is not quick and fast compared to Inoue but let's see Dasmarinas will need all the help that he needs, he should train hard and be in the toughest shape of his boxing career.
He needs all the preparations that he can get from the conditioning team, the last time we've seen Inoue defeating another Pinoy boxing star though that's really expected as age gap really matters plus Donaire is not that active fighting, but with this young and aspiring boxer fighting with the champ is another
step to be well known with this fighting arena, he needs to showcase his skills and do everything to win the belt.

Inoue vs. Dasmarinas Mandatory Title Fight Ordered By IBF

Quote
Upon his title-unifying points win and World Boxing Super Series championship claim over Nonito Donaire this past November, Inoue has now been ordered to begin negotiations for a mandatory title defense of his International Boxing Federation (IBF) bantamweight title versus Philippines’ Michael Dasmarinas.

“Inoue and Dasmarinas were ordered to begin negotiations on Dec. 3,” IBF spokesperson Jeanette Salazar confirmed to BoxingScene.com on Monday. “They have 30 days (to come to terms).”

https://www.boxingscene.com/inoue-vs-dasmarinas-mandatory-title-fight-ordered-by-ibf--144999

It seems that another Filipino will have a crack on Inoue next year, Michael Dasmarinas. I would admit that Dasmarinas is unheralded, but it seems he is on a wining streak and I'm sure that this is going to be an exciting match.

Dasmarinas record, 30 W/20 by KO, 2 L, 1 D.

Do you know when this match between Inoue and Dasmarinas will take place ? If they had begin negotiations on 3 December, it has a deadline of 30 days which will end on 3 Jan, 2020. So will the fight be anytime in late January ?

Probably wont happen on that time yet decisions/negotiations are still being made and come to think that there would always a sufficient preparation for the fight.I would say 2nd quarter of 2020 would be possible.
For now lets wait for further announcement.

This thread should be locked for now, until the official announcement, or create another thread for this fight, and my observation about this up and coming fight, Dasmarinas is good but not enough to beat Inoue, in terms of speed and power, Dasmarinas is slow compared to Inoue but since he has a knock out punch he is still has a big chance.

This thread should be locked for now, until the official announcement
Thread is relevant to the event, it gives insight coming from other boxing fans in this forum so I think having this thread kept open will help decide which fighter to place your money.

Dasmarinas is good but not enough to beat Inoue

Dasmarinas is slow compared to Inoue but since he has a knock out punch he is still has a big chance.
So, does Michael Dasmarinas "has a big chance" or "not enough"? If we talk about speed, maybe Michael Dasmarinas can adjust himself based on the fighting style of his opponent. I am 60/40 on this one in favor of Inoue.

Sportsbook does not see that way for sure, if the odds is like that, for sure Inoue fans will bomb the line..

IMO, betting odds would be at least x3 for Dasmarinas.

Filipino boxer against the Japanese champion, I think I would like the odds on this one again, the last time he fought Donaire the odds was very disrespectful to Donaire and I like this underdog because he is younger than Donaire.

@Yaunfitda, thank you for sharing some highlight, I am watching it now.

I like to express my support to the Filipino underdog here and I will surely bet on the dog.

Of course, we always wanted to see underdogs bringing it up and winning the belt. Donaire is so close to accomplished that. The link being shared shows that Dasmarinas has a puncher chance against the Japanese champion. So I will also support the Filipino here, they're making headlines in the boxing world again, with MP, Casimero, Ancajas so let the streak continues. I think Donaire has put a crack on Inoue's chin, when he broke his orbital bone. So Inoue will be very careful if the fight pushes,  and he might be reluctant to engage because of that injury and it's hard to come back coming from that.

Donaire was just getting older so he got tired in the later rounds.

Hey! I found the odds on the Donaire vs Inoue fight - https://www.oddsshark.com/boxing/inoue-donaire-betting-odds-and-prediction
As you can see, Naoya Inoue is -600, so my prediction of the odds in this fight could be Naoya Inoue -1,000 and +900 for Dasmarinas.

IBF is just going to send Dasmarinas to a beating. Less fighting chance for Dasma. Donaire didn't beat Inoue is because the monster is just too fast and can endure Donaire's punch. I lost my bet too.

Dasmarinas I think should first fight Donaire to see if he can also beat him and then conclude that he can possibly knock Inoue. Or let Dasmarinas fight more Latinos first.

I hope it is not going to be a severe beating if ever Dasmarinas losses. I watched his fight against the French, Karim, and he seems to have the tendency to raise his defense and just try to absorb all the punches instead of dancing away from the barrage of punches. He's got a very slim chance to make an upset here although I am still hoping that he will. He's got a strong left, after all. It could create a miracle.

Donaire has another business to face. As ordered by the WBC, he's probably going to fight against Nordine Oubaali, the boxer who defeated Naoya's brother in the same event Naoya defeated Donaire just recently in Japan. It would have been Oubaali against Naoya for a unification bout had the orders from IBF and WBC not issued.

Good match if they both have to fight for each other, and who knows Donaire will go for this one. Hopefully he'd be convinced by IBF sooner, because if it happened I am sure that would bring good impact to both of their career as well as money is involved.
Each of them has the great potential to show for good fight, so it's not a problem when their management will allow this to happen.

For the record, Dasmarinas is rated as the number 1 rank player of IBF, so I don't think its fair to say that the world governing body, IBF, is sending someone who can easily beaten by their champion. Dasmarinas deserves a shot at Inoue.

Dasmarinas I think should first fight Donaire to see if he can also beat him and then conclude that he can possibly knock Inoue. Or let Dasmarinas fight more Latinos first.

WBC and IBF are making moves to gain so money here by ordering the champions to fight the mandatory challenger. Nothing is definite yet until the contract has been signed so a fight other than the mandatory challenger is probable. Have heard that Inoue is interested in fighting Casimero and if Sean Gibbons will negotiate for this money and the camp of Inoue would agree then we could see a unification bout between the two and Inoue might relinquish his IBF belt.

But i love to see Dasmarinas fight this Japanese monster, he got a chance to beat him with that left hand. Both are knock-out artist and whoever would land the telling blow and got good defense would win the fight.

I also would love to see Dasma fight Inoue here. They need to give the boy a chance to see if he is world class fighter. After all he was given the number one ranking here. Yes, he is a monster, but after the beating the Nonito has given to Inoue, I'm sure he will be cautious here and that is the chance that Dasma needed and maybe he will be lucky to throw his powerful left. Dasma is a decent body puncher as well and I noticed that Donaire did have success with that body punch to Inoue. So it's going to be a good fight.

Strategy and adjustment but all things wont be effective if you dont have the stamina and punching power yet winning wont only focus on single or 2 factors alone.

It would be interesting on how Dasmarinas would handle out the monster and since hes younger than Donaire. So i do expect more with this guy.

I don't think this will be revenge after Donaire's losses but hopefully, he could make it and take the belt.I'd love to see how Filipinos get into ring and fight. We can't deny also that Inoe is a good fighter and he's aiming for another title belt or surely we would like to defend his stands today. But in this game, of course, I would like to give put my bet to Dasma...

That's also what I think but the fact Dasmarinas pass the test and have beaten ranked boxers in the IBF rank that makes him deserving to fight Inoue, let's not take this away to Dasmarinas, he works his way up to this fight, even if we think he will be beaten, he deserves a title shot.

If you look at the record of Dasmarinas, most of his fights are to an unknown fighter in an unknown event in an unknown place (basketball courts, open air plaza) just to boost his fight record. Sorry for the negative word to a fellow countryman but I don’t think Dasmarinas will stand a chance with Inoue. Going back to the places Dasmarinas fought, I see he fought in large places like in Marina Bay Sands in Singapore but again, I guess its not enough, maybe the manager has did not book him to known international fighters yet and this fight with Inoue will be the first.
It's a good step up to him if he'll fight against Inoue and another added experience for his career. So for him, this is a win-win situation for him. Boosting his record with a known fighter by showing good performance so whether he'll win or not. He's the one that will benefit this most. But as the crowd shares the same opinion, Nonito didn't win against Inoue so he'll take time to beat him but I guess he'll look into the experience side if he just lose this match.

It's a worth the gamble with this young boxer, Inoue's last fight with Donaire gives some hints from how this fighter play the game. He managed to win
over and keep his belt as he's good protecting himself and just ignore those punch from Donaire and bring the heavy combo in the last few rounds of the fight, counter and good stamina are very needed for Dasmarinas to learn and execute when the fight become materialized.

If Dasmarinas is a heavy hitter than Donaire, he might win against the monster but let's see what he can bring in the ring against the monster.
It would be a big achievement for Dasmarinas if ever he will be able to beat the monster as Inoue is rank number 3 in the pound for pound rankings.
