Yesterday people were hyping Bakkt's CEO appointment as a senator and the Crypto Mom's participation in some conference, but today some nocoiner gets into position of power and it's suddenly the end of the world. Can we just stop overreacting to insignificant events like this one? I understand that we are currently in a boring period, when the price doesn't move much and no big news happens, but this doesn't mean that we should look at every single event through a "this is good/bad for Bitcoin" prism - they really don't mean much in the grand scheme of things.

Actually there is nothing wrong with their thinking about good / bad for bitcoin, it is natural to speculate. When trading, not only relies on technical analysis, but fundamentals also have a big influence and sometimes even small news really affects prices.

It might look excessive when we see speculation like that, but that's the fact that there is in the market, all connected and influential.

Its not to stop BTC, its meant to adopt BTC by having their own coins as well. Governments are already developing tier own coins which were started by China and now Germany and France. The stage is set but the adoption, although pumping BTC right now wil caught you into something due to KYC developments in central banks and governments are speeding up. yes of course, and I am very sure that bitcoin or cryptocurrency will slowly develop its adoption although now some of them are anti-cryptocurrency who want to inhibit the growth of crypto but in my opinion this cannot affect bitcoin at all to be worthless or die, because if we see it now that almost everyone and the community will continue to promote and support the development of crypto among them.

By giving good news but not have effect for bitcoin flight with higher price is nothing, how ever make positive news with many people have adopted bitcoin as legal currency payment in their company I think you have given not correct news because bitcoin price keep lower, I think with bigger company want to adopt bitcoin as legal currency will bring positive price for bitcoin on the top.

How much money could you think is larger enough to be considered a big deal? Because for me 132,432,268,304 Dollar market cap(as of the moment from CMC) could actually make an impact on the world and people should take it seriously. Take note, that is only for Bitcoin, how much more it could be if we think of the entire market cap of all altcoins. Meaning to say that we couldn't just see it as just a technology, Bitcoin is a revolutionary technology that could induce limitless opportunities and possibilities.

We are not that sure for upcoming years. better to be ready if their obstruction will come. we know that anti-bitcoiners are still working hard for the destruction of bitcoin and in many years passed by we know that they are also fully knowledgable to fight bitcoin. so there is possibility that bitcoin will incline and crash. we need to ready and fight back.

I think if that would happen I'm am ready. But how about for those with the top investors of bitcoin? I don't think they will let it happen. As long as there are big investors or traders, I believe bitcoin will always exist. Maybe lesser than investment or trading activities but most likely to dominate in money transfer and bills payment option. I still don't understand why some would do that to bitcoin? It is to agree that in all things around there are always positive and negative sides. Those people who talk negatives towards crypto are those who didn't know about this thing. It certainly there is no basis of what they say, all things they speak out are just of false accusation but it somehow affects the doubtful individual and even thinks that they are right instead of keeping what they believe at the start.

Yup, there's a lot of investor by bitcoin and they cannot fight by bitcoin because it is depend on you if you are going to join for the new world or not. There's a lot of person promoting bitcoin that's why it would hard to fight bitcoin because there are a lot of person or rich investor who really fight for the growth of the bitcoin.

People have always a wild imagination so let them have it. We all know the reality except with those theories they all got but everything is possible though. I don't even think what OP said will ever happen... Well I've seen a lot of thread like this. Maybe they're just really worried what others will do to Bitcoin. But the thing is not all people in the position will even care about cryptocurrencies. I can't blame them if they think this way but I hope we reduce overthinking about everything because Bitcoin will still remain there no matter how hard they will try to stop it.

No bills can stop Bitcoin. Moreover, such possible bills about which you are talking are local, not global, I'm sure everyone will find a way to use crypto seamlessly if he wants

Those are all good questions, and given the news you just linked to I'd have to think about it.

The crypto community is a fractured one at best, and I'm not sure who would or *could* stand up to a congressman trying to introduce anti crypto bills into law.  I don't know if that's what's going to happen with this guy, but it could happen and it is scary.

I don't think anyone is fully prepared for something like that, and we're just going to have to wait and see how it plays out before forming a game plan (if that even gets done).  Great.  More bad news about crypto.

How come flight with bitcoin still lower price and keep on $7k, where is prediction about bitcoin last October above $16k and on December will fantastic price up above $20k, always giving joke information about how to prediction with bitcoin and altcoin price. Next time I have enough with bullshit information giving advice about bitcoin price will go on to the moon and have higher price.
