I recommend to newbies that they don't invest in a new coin, since halving is coming it's preferable to invest coins that has proven their worth in the market, do not waste your time to these new coins that, some of these we don not know if it will generate support since majority of them are just imitation of the past similar projects in the past, two examples of these are exchange and green energy type of projects.

3 I would never have made this investment if the ICO trend was still the way it is now, at least I saw a number of big successful projects and brought investors success as well.

Most of the investors starts to invest on a project when someone convince them it as a good project to invest but we don't have to trust anyone even someone close to you can convince and make to you to invest your real money.Visit B&H section where you can find lot of guides regarding research about new crypto project which could help any newbies who lacks that knowledge.

It's hard to trust an ICO anymore. Investors will only think it's a scamer so investing in an ICO won't be so successful, my advice is better to look for a good IEO trend like in the large Binance exchanges etc. so you don't have to worry about investing there because there have been many projects that have successful and running until now.

In my view, it's not only for newbies but also for experienced investors. Research is mandatory prior to investing in any crypto project.

Bitcointalk.org has done great effort in bringing many scam projects to public and saved many from investing into the scam. Hats off to the efforts of bitcointalk.org members for doing this public service.

I think not just the newbies but everyone needs to be very vigilant i have seen very promising and professional looking projects ending up as nothing, so even good projects can fail, i have faced many shocks and surprises in around 3 years of my crypto career so yes if you are mentally strong and can face losses (alongwith massive profit potential) then you are welcome to jump into crypto.

good job but I am not sure how many of the people will follow the instruction you have given and make the more secured to avoid the scammer around the cryptocurrency marketplace.
Well investors can be also a newbie but mostly that level stupids will never try to hear the words.

Also, just google the project + scam with it to see what accusations it has, it's just faster. And if you don't find anything, google team members and their histories by yourself.

Scammers don't need to use the halving as a reason to do what they do.  The situation right now is so bad that it probably couldn't get much worse.  Scammers are everywhere.

The above two snippets are good pieces of advice.  As far as doing research on projects, tho, I'm not sure how useful that even is.  Scam projects are very good at concealing the scam, so you might be convinced that a project is legitimate when the reality is, it isn't.

I strongly agree that noobs should at least take a look at the scam accusation section to familiarize themselves with how some scams go down.  At least then they might be aware of what to watch for if they're thinking about investing in an ico or doing a bounty.

You can simply avoid scam if you don't invest at all to new projects, that's all you need to do when it comes to crypto specially these days when there ain't no real projects offered anywhere.

But I can't find a possible way how they may be able to use halving in scaming. It wouldn't be easy to scam today because all eyes of the scambusters are open to watching out new techniques.

If you have done your proper research, investing in crypto is not as risky as gambling. So, there's no need to think you'll lose anything you invest in crypto.
I'd rather say keep at least 25% of your savings as crypto and not more than 50%. That way you'd have fiat when you need it and won't miss the profit crypto yields in the bull run.
