I think that in all such cases mentally ill people are involved. To overcome the natural barrier and kill another human being is a very big deal which to some extent insane people only can do. I don't think it has anything to do with governments or other authorities. It's all about personal responsibility.

At least six people were shot dead at close range in a hospital in the Czech Republic on Tuesday before the gunman escaped and then turned his weapon on himself, in a rare mass shooting in the Eastern European country.

They don't even know where the Czech Republic lies. It's located right above Austria, how the fuck is that Eastern Europe? Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic... This is all Central Europe.

And of course an anti-gun rant, because it's the guns that kill, not the shooters.

I didn't open that Washington Post article coz I'm too lazy to disable my adblocker but checked the article by NYT - which is of comparable quality. On further reading it appears the Czech Republic, which already have a low gun ownership just lost a court battle with the EU forcing stricter gun control laws on them.

Gun-related deaths are rare in Czech Republic, and gun ownership is comparatively low among European countries, but the nation has been an outlier on the Continent because of its efforts to loosen gun laws.

The European Union introduced tighter controls on firearms two years after a series of coordinated assaults by Islamist extremists in Paris in 2015 left 131 people dead, including restrictions on the private use of semiautomatic rifles — a move the Czech Republic fought in court.

The Czech Republic filed a lawsuit, arguing that legally held weapons had no connection with the fight against terrorism, and that the controls would discriminate against hunters. The Czech Parliament later approved legislation that put gun owners’ rights in the national Constitution.

The Czech Republic lost the legal battle last week, when the European Union’s top court dismissed its challenge.

Guess every time they try to bring up relaxing gun laws this incident is gonna be slapped on their faces and they'd be called names.

Nothing special is happening, media just likes to spread hysteria so they sell more advertising space. And governments wants you to feel more scared so they can sell their more restrictive laws.
But it seems that it is working, average people are buying this bs.

In 1995 it was 1.71 murder per 100k people , while in 2016 it was 0.61/100k.  Sure, there will be ocasional years where there will be increase compared to previous year, but trend is obvious. World is not getting more violent, that is bullshit.

I saw the similar statistics in relation to gun laws and there's completely no correlation. Of course in the countries where it's harder to get a gun there will be less deaths from firearms but total murder rates are related to culture not firearm access.



Sometimes even in a very non-violent country with low gun ownership somebody will go on killing spree like Anders Breivik in Norway.

Very true. But a mentally unstable killer with a gun would be able to kill more people than a mentally unstable killer with knife.
And For mentally unstable people having the concise to kill people is related to culture.

He wouldn't talk to me until he could confirm I was of an appropriate racial heritage. It is very frustrating to see crazy people going in a hospital and killing patients.
You cannot survive even when you are in a place with so many doctors and helpless people. The killer was just a coward for doing this.

Governments need to stricten the usage of Guns, every time an incident happens there will be some noise relative to it. Within a short everything changes and people starts to move on. I'm saying, but in reality it is simply impossible to have gun control. Even if it gets stopped too someone from the political teams will start it again to deviate the subject.

I agree. In the USA, the people are the government. And the only way for them to enforce their law is for more of the people to get guns and have them ready all the time.

Note that, if robots ever become the government, then the people who made the robots - or designed them or programmed them - are the real government. So, it's people that need the guns.

These nuts apparently have been around for a long time though I was also surprised when I first heard about the group. Blacks in America have serious identity issues. First they were claiming they were the original Egyptians that built the pyramids. Then they started claiming they are the original Native Americans and Aztec and shietz. Now they are the "original" Israelites.

Apparently there's not enough people online debunking their delusions and groups like these tend to attract equally delusional people anyway. Guess the media would not try to call them racist or anti-Semites since they are blacks.
