Hello guys can someone help me to identify why are cards on this site so cheap, it says 120 bucks for R9 280x card and what does Tahiti stands for?

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-EMS-SAPPHIRE-Radeon-R9-280X-Tahiti-XTL-GDDR5-3GB-384bit-DirectX-11-2-2048/1704806973.html

Are they worse in mining?

Tahiti is their codename ( 280x = tahiti, 290x = hawaii), they are good at mining. Around 700-750 kh/s , but this deal is too good to be true. I wouldn't trust to buy from this chinese with no reviews and feedbacks.

That has to be a typo.

I should order one and see if it actually ships.

if you buy with your credit card, you can do a charge back if they do not ship.

It's not a question of shipping, but a question of whether the product is real and not some fakes made in those dodgy factories next to fake Nike products, fake golf products.

The only way I can see this being real is if these cards are from someone that jacked a trailer or a shipping container full of them and is trying to unload them fast.

Looks like someone bought 12 of those at once http://www.aliexpress.com/item/video-graphics-card-best-price-graphics-cheap-video-card-2014-wholesale-high-quality-new-coming-MSI/1705713686.html

It says first purchase was 8 days ago, but still no feedback. They probably just don't send anything.

I've ordered parts from aliexpress before like an iPod 30gb motherboard, but damn not recently.

Has anyone noticed the ridiculously low prices on phones too?  Supposedly 1:1 copies of Samsung SIV's (quad, 2g ram, 13 mp camera, 1920x1080 screen) WITH LOGOs all over them, for $150.  Galaxy Note 3's for the same.

If that is true then fuck mining.  I'm about to order one for myself.

tygarbyte, did that happen to you?  What did you order?

no - didn't happen to me, i bought stuff from aliexpress - but nothing of high value, and not from sellers that have no ratings - and shipping takes ages unless you pay for ems.
