If you read up on game-protect here you'll see complaints from people who paid him money with the promise to recover funds lost at casinos. Did you know that he was also an affiliate to online casinos and sportsbooks as well?
The scam is deeper than you might think at first. On the one hand he would take money from players to "recover" funds. Then on the other, he would be an affiliate generating revenue from players who lose funds. So, he's earning on both sides. Here is what I believe he did to our brand Betbit.com.

He would sign up under an affiliate link (his). Deposit funds. If he won, I am sure he would have taken the funds via instant withdraw immediately. In this case, he didn't. So, he lost. He immediately complained about the details of having a license and reasons why we should return his funds. Of coarse he would make threats about posting here on bitcointalk.com and telling the authorities about our brands. He intentionally deposited not to entertain himself, but with the intention of extorting us to get his funds back. That is bad faith on his part. This was not about us doing something wrong ethically. This was about him trying to scam our brand.

He posted here many times: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5195221.msg53304955#msg53304955 .

He also made various emails to the UK gaming commission as well.

After all of that, he still emailed us requesting his affiliate commission on those same funds!

He is scamming every possible aspect of the community, the players, the brands, affiliate programs and wreaking havoc by complaining to the authorities.

I forgot to mention he posted that he was going to turn in Bitcointalk forum to the authorities for illegal activities. What a gem!

Do you have any screenshots corroborating any of this?

Then on the other, he would be an affiliate generating revenue from players who lose funds. So, he's earning on both sides. Here is what I believe he did to our brand Betbit.com . I can't prove it due to the difficulty in tieing IP addresses and names, but here's my best guess.

Are you kidding me? You came here to report  a person, you said he cheated, in the end it's just your conjecture? You say someone has taken advantage of your brand and you can't stop it? It was crazy!

How can he denounce you if he has enough evidence? Even you, if there is no real evidence, no one believes you. So my suggestion is to find a way to verify his identity, if you're not wrong, don't worry. You prove that he is a fraud, he will definitely get a lot of negative trust.

I am dumbfounded at the extent of his exploits. I am discussing my experiences with this individual. This behavior should be discouraged. I will not be posting screen shots, merely sharing my experience.

I would suggest checking out his profile. He has significant negative trust. He is a highly controversial member. Take the info for what it is.

Regardless, I think it is a very interesting case of what not to do, and the extent of dishonesty someone is willing to go through to burn players, brands, and affiliate programs alike.

Even if it's Game-Protect with his bad reputation, it's not fair to accuse someone for scamming and then refuse to provide solid proof.

To me it seems that you're simply using his (bad) reputation to create a thread to promote your site Wink

Your opinion is valid. I will not deny that.

However, this has been my experience with this individual. I thought the community would be interested in the extent of the scam overall. not just the player's perspective, but the affiliate program and the brand as well. We have never had an issue like this player (game-protect) before.

So out of the above posters, no one has any comments other than virtue signaling?

Tbh, I'm not too familiar with this user (although I've heard whispers) but yeah, he/she promotes two sportsbooks on his homepage at the moment.

GP is the least trusted user in this community for sure, and her extortion practices were so obvious. However, you shouldn't just open a thread without proof with a title that "stating" or "strongly implying" certainty since it will only hurt your reputation. I'd rather trash-talk her here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1535816.0 or on the scam accusation board if you have legit proofs.

I am not surprised op. Game-Protect is easily one of the weirdest individuals I have ever observed on this forum who acts like he is a righteous individual when almost everyone knows how big a scammer he truly is.

What is even more surprising is that he continues to operate in this forum with such insane negative trust ratings. This is simply another thread regarding the daily adventures of the nefarious GP!

In that case I apologize for thinking so, but you really should add some screenshots and/or any other proof if available.

Btw, you said in one of your posts above that he didn't cheat, but referring yourself is considered cheating on most websites. So he did cheat if he claimed affiliate commission by referring himself, unless the site involved allows players to refer themselves, which is very unlikely. Wink

From what you wrote here, I would say its simply someone who saw a lapse and was ready to cash in on it. Even though it might sound unethical, its still does not mean its wrong. To sound objectively, whether its on his site or not, your site pays affiliate bonus irrespective of whoever is claiming it. The question you should be asking is, did he fulfill the condition to receive the compensation of an affiliate? If he does, then its right to pay it to him.

On the second accusation, he is saying to himself that he is protecting gamblers and one way to ensure that is he does and play on the site himself which is reason he is making deposit. He then go ahead to threaten you that he will report. The question is, does he really have something to report you on? If your brand has done the right thing with the authorities then he would only be wasting his time. On the other hand if you haven't then you have put yourself in a position to be blackmailed by an individual who sees it as an opportunity for himself.

How can he extort you guys? Your words are ridiculous! If you do not do anything wrong, he cannot extort you. And if he did, you're refusing to give evidence, you're doing nonsense. Did you bring him up here just to discuss? Unbelievable  Cheesy Maybe you only use this topic to promote your website.

Also, about affiliate commission, if your website has affiliate program, he deserves it. I didn't protect him, but the affiliate program is for everyone, right? Of course it does not except him.

On your side, if you don't like it, you can revise the rules on your site. A website whose rules have holes, it will be taken advantage certainly. Do you know what I mean? Make it different, good luck!

Agreed! It is not unethical. It's a mistake on your site, instead of fixing it, you come here and denounce it uselessly. I always support the topic that report fraudsters, but for this topic, it's not true to what I think. What is the reason you refused to give evidence? Or vice versa, you have no evidence, you are merely inference. There is no evidence for us to support you.

Shouldn't this be moved in the Scam Accusations ?
And OP , I think literally everybody here knows about GP's shady and scammy activities , though it's best for you to provide relevant proof on it.

The words that you have chosen to create this topic are very serious and are considered a crime punishable by law. Why are you wasting your time here, if you have proof go to the authorities and raise an investigation. They can easily trace out more proofs for you.

Extortion is punishable by law and as you have used it in your post, I am therefore recommending the above solution.

You can also look into the option of initiating a scam accusation on this individual.

Do not waste your time here.

If someone is committing a Fraud or a Scam they need to be dealt straight forwards.

He didn't cheat while playing. I don't know if he cheated on others. I've seen threads where people acuse him of cheating them (the players themselves who contract his services).

I hear you.

Affiliate programs do not allow this, generally speaking. But sometimes it happens. I ran an affiliate program for 10 years. I have seen players attempting this on occasion. You can usually find this out fairly quickly. Sometimes it can be difficult because the affiliate programs use different platforms than the casino (sportsbook) platform. Affiliate programs are usually managed by third parties or at least third party software. Cross-referencing player information with affiliate information is not readily available. Programs generally do not receive access to the player data for cross-referencing.

Unfortunately, nothing would come of it. It was an attempt on his part. In the end, it did not work on his part. My goal was to share the information. I should have used stronger wording in the original post. As far as a waste of time. I thought some members would be interested. The intent was to engage with community members. If these topics are not of interest, then I'll certainly avoid them in the future.

How much did he make from all his silly tricks though? Fuck-all I assume. He constantly kept calling out the sites that didn't pay for his affiliate commission so I guess he didn't really make much out of it. No site or a player fell for his "Will get you the money back" trick as well. All those efforts of sending mails to number of government authorities are politely being ignored.

Good question. His shenanigans did not make him anything. IMO he could have done well by being a player advocate. I think there is a real need to be forceful with brands that do not pay out winnings or who are deceptive. That would be a service and be just. There's an element of bad faith when you play with the intention of claiming your losses afterward. It's true I have a vested interest in this sort of thing.

Regardles, I think someone who defended players who brands did not pay or keep their money is very useful. He should change his business model.

I wouldn't want an extortionist near me as my advocate. There are lawyers and legal authorities to deal with this kind of stuff that a player can directly approach without the need for retards like game-protect.

He should give up and find some work in real life. Maybe take the actual course to become a lawyer.
