How to export private keys from MEW 5 now ?

First of all, i know there in this guide: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5136728.0  but it seems outdated to me, as the old version of mew is not avaible anymore, and when i try to print an address only the qr code of the address appears... no private key.

What i need to do is to get the private key of a myetherwallet address i'm accessing with mnemonic phrase. This was quite easy with the old version of myetherwallet, but in version 5 i can't find how to do it.

Please help.

They removed the private key from the print wallet preview now. There's no other way than to ask their support team I guess  support@myetherwallet.com

If you have the mnemonic I think you should be able to get the private key using https://iancoleman.io/bip39/.
It is always advisable to use the tool offline. Scroll down until it says 'Offline Usage' and follow the instructions. Switch off your internet before starting it up.

Well, you definitely did not get the point. Op asking how to get the private key from his old MEW wallet which is he can only access through Mnemonic Phrase. The new version V5 did not allow us to view the private key not like before. There's no problem in login his MEW wallet. Try to log in your MEW to the V5 version, tell me if where you can find out private key their.

You can use MyCrypto wallet to access you private keys. It's trustable and open source(actually part of the team was from MyEtherwallet) They have both the web version and app but i would recommend the app version. The Mnemonic Phrase is usually for HD accounts (meaning you have so many Private keys under one wallet)
So you will have to choose the particular wallet address you want to extract the Private Key from.

1.  Visit https://mycrypto.com/account (Be very alert on phishing  addresses) or download their desktop app https://download.mycrypto.com/

2. Open the app when your PC is offline and select the Mnemonic phrase option below on the home screen

3. Enter your mnemonic phrase and the preferred password (optional) and click on "Choose Address"



4. Select the address you would like to Open then click on the "unlock" button below

5. Inside your account go to the Select box with a drop down menu and click on "Wallet Info"



6. You will be able to see your private key for the address. You will also be able to print the QR code for the address and private key

Lucky i found up this thread which i do have same questions in mind a week before on where on the world i could able to find PK on MEW which you can possibly
able to see it on older version of MEW and when the time i revisit into their new version i dont able to find it so i didnt bother to look for as long i do have
the phrase. Thanks also for those suggestions above.

What happened with myetherwallet is a reminder for people who put all of their money on online wallet or web wallet. Not only about wallets for Ethereum and ERC20 tokens but also for the other crypto currency wallets. It is very risky when you depend totally on third party who fully control your funds.

I think it has something to do with security. Perhaps they are trying to force people to use more secure of accessing the wallet like using more sure ways like MEW connect, Hardware wallet or secure extensions like Metamask.

Exactly since Private Key isn't recommended for someone to unlock their wallet hence it's more vulnerable. I also once got confused when I created new address at MEW and found out I don't have private keys and so I just try to be comfortable in using the MEWconnect which is surprisingly more easy to use.

It is very risky when you depend totally on third party who fully control your funds.

Basically, when you don't hold the private keys then it's not yours.

I guess it's part of their protocol to remove that feature and to teach their users to become more responsible as we access our wallets since private keys are visible and easy to copy if a malware is installed to a users PC.

If there will be a demand of users to get back that feature, I guess we'll see it again but as long as it's effectively being implemented let's expect that we will not be able to see that feature for a long time.

Even though its not recommended using private keys or its  only experience users, i always use my private to log in to my account even im online.

yeah Mycrypto is created from a team that left MEW and because of this i always using both of the websites
since MEW deleted the Private Key section and i think it's time to use Mycrypto because they still had that

There is no problem with Ethereums and tokens that had been deposited in Myetherwallet before. You can still access your wallet by your private keys.
Any way, I agree that having the private key is really needed.

Obviously they removed the option to show the private key for security reasons. Therefore, the option allowing to print a paper wallet doesn't make sense anymore and should be removed.

as Pmalek suggested, you can use iancoleman to derive the extended private key for your HD wallet from the seed hence the private key for each address belonging to that wallet.
The derivation path is: m/44'/60'/0'/0

edit: I just logged in using a private key and when I click on print paper wallet, the private key shows up.
