With the halving approaching we should, at some point see a stop to the slow, downwards price movement. I’d expect the price to slowly increase in the lead up to the halving in May 2020. If everything goes to plan we’ll see a new ATH at some point in 2021 & hopefully another epic bull run to so far, unseen heights.

Wrong thing here that majority is expecting the same thing do happen every the same time of the year.Lots of people hopes been burned down when price of btc didnt increase out on last year 2018
and now we are seeing an another repeat of events which do signifies that market condition wont really be the same year by year but at least we are seeing some light on next year halving event
but i just dont like to see those exaggerated speculations like 500k-1M price per bitcoin.lol

Whatta good old days, maybe we could go to the mars next year lol. Lets accept the fact that its not always Christmas in crypto and consider every cycle a time for reflection to improve future decisions. There's a lot of room for growth in crypto, its not just about the pumps and dumps.

Lol, I was having a conversation with someone (no-coiner) that 2017 was a good year for bitcoin. Although she didn't understand it, but she did see me making tons of money that time but never asked. I guess this is want crypto is all about, this is a journey and if you don't have the patience then it is not for you.

i wouldn't say majority. there are of course a lot of people who think the price should rise by the end of the year and at the same time there are a lot of others who think it should drop!
the thing is that at all times there are people who keep expecting the same thing to be repeated even if it has happened only once in the past like expecting drop by the end of the year!
as for $500k-$1mil, you have to remember that $1000 was also considered an exaggerated price back in 2010 not to mention $20000!

It could happen, and most believe so. But honestly, no one really knows how it would even happen. It just happens whenever it wants. I'd be lying if I didn't believe that BTC is going to at some point this month or the next start going to the moon, but it really is quite difficult since a lot of attention is at BTC right now compared to then.

It isn't really a sign. More like OP is just reminding others of what happened last time halving was near and last time BTC reached to the moon. Good ol days, just hope it could happen this year, or at least even a bit of it.

Nice to see more familiar faces than unfamiliar ones every time we revisit the dates that made us happy.

Am I very bad to say I hope we have to wait till at least the end of next year to shake hands with ATH again? I know 1 year feels like a long time now, but I'd really like to have the time to accumulate and have a nice tidy wallet to view when we're at and past $20,000.

Those are the happy times of my life being an investor, I hope it will again come back so I can correct my wrong decision that time.
Until now, we are still waiting while we are witnessing how this market slowly going down again.

That's is the surprising thing about this market. It takes us by surprise while we keep waiting for our expected and favourable direction.
Well I know that the next moon for altcoin will be when bitcoin start to increase but this time is definitely not the time as price is around $6,742.61

It may have taken a longer time this year to reach back to high levels but remember in 2019 we have peaked at around 14 thousand dollars which is not that far away from the 2017 peak, sure there is still literally current price level of different but as you can see from bitcoins movements going up that much wouldn't be a shock neither since bitcoin is capable of doing that. On top of that we have gone up over 10 thousand many times and only a month ago or so we were still at around over 9 thousand dollars.

Yes, we are not doing well right now but that "annual" remembrance will happen to reach to a point where we are over 20 thousand dollars during the same peak time once more eventually. I see next years December as a whole new all time high happening thanks to everything going around in bitcoin.

Yes and I also hope this schedule can also take place, because this is the best schedule and helps investors be the most profitable when halving. From now until May 2020, the price of BTC will fluctuate at $ 6000-8000 and after halving I expect it to surpass ATH again

I am pretty sure that bitcoin will go to the moon in 2020 or 2021. We have had a bad time together when the price of bitcoin went down to $ 3xxx and excited to see bitcoin rise to nearly 14k this year.
I think the most important thing we should do right now is find ways to collect more bitcoins. Certainly next year bitcoin will increase in price and we will have a bargain.

Thanks, this period has been one of the most exciting, we were all crazy. I hope to see such a period again before I die but I won't be able to wait too much.

On the halving, aren't we relying too much on it? Remember that we're just speculating. And I may be wrong to do this comparison but what happened to Litecoin recently? Do you see it going to the moon since its halving? Nope, it's doing the opposite and doesn't stop to decrease.  I don't expect to see something positive no matter if it's before or after, I just want to live the crypto life, at $20k or $1 I don't care.

Yes we have to be smarter in buying and holding it because it is the best way that we are currently waiting for the upcoming bullrun in May all hope and hope in 2020.
This recovery is a good start for us to see the low price of bitcoin, why don't we use it and don't be influenced by FUD news from anywhere.
