Claiming VAT (UK) for Antminer S2 from Bitmain

Hi guys,

I was wondering how you guys claim the VAT paid on your deliveries from Bitmain... Considering the import tax in the UK is 20% VAT.

Any help will be appreciated.

Well, apparently it is not simple as claim for VAT claim for items that have been imported... I was wondering if anyone actually had any experience with from the UK?

You need to have a VAT registered company and then you just claim the VAT back from HMRC by using the UPS or DHL Cash On Delivery invoice as you would on a normal purchase.

Yes it is that simple. There is a customs fee for handling which isn't vat recoverable, but the sizable chunk you pay is VAT.
