• Period: 24/1/2018 - 11/12/2019. I am sorry for the incorrect information in initial OP. LoyceV scraped data on topic id, boardid on 19/12/2019, but I used merit data on 11/12/2019.

With decent supports to scrap data from @LoyceV, I have some statistics for you on the merit distributions over the period from 24/1/2018 to 19/12/2019).

I’ve comparted your results with mine (https://public.tableau.com/views/BitcointalkMeritDashboard/SectionSubsection?:display_count=y&:origin=viz_share_link) , and they are essentially the same. They are just off some merits here and there (a bit more in B&H , Altcoin Discussion, Marketplace Alts and Archival) . I figure the reason is because I make the total Merits to be 540.838 (as of last Friday), and your aggregate is 600 merits shy.

Note1: Off-limits I presume accounts for both deleted and/or off-limits to the scraper account.

Note2: Some distribution discrepancies are normal, since data will depend on how deleted or moved threads are treated by each approach.

I figure the reason is because I make the total Merits to be 540.838 (as of last Friday), and your aggregate is 600 merits shy.

In fact, total merits are the same, with tmerit =  540224, tmerit0 = 614; then total merits = tmerit + tmerit0 = 540224 + 614 = 540838.

For things relate to data scraping, it is the turn of LoyceV so I can not say anything about it.

Update:

Stats for dataset after excluding autobanned/ nuke users.

I play around with data today, and have the following stats for you guys. Let's enjoy!

The interesting finding is:

• The forum lost 7.7% of total merits by autobanned/ nuked accounts. ^[a]
• Russian board lost around 15.6% of its total merits by autobanned/ nuked accounts. ^[e]
• The board of "Development and Technical discussion" increases in rank because it is not affected significantly by autobanned/ nuked accounts. Hence, it increases from 9^th position to 7^th position
