That's my favorite way of asking questions here basically.

Before this year ends you finally get to win a Jackpot then suddenly a big disaster came up out of nowhere then brings an outrage for people outside. Would you care to enjoy your winnings for yourself? Or be a good human being to help to save others.

I'd definitely go for the 2nd option and go out, help others to get relief.

If you're going to be a good fellow human, what's the first thing you'll gonna do?

Some would suggest you that if you won a huge amount through that jackpot, you should just donate them to the "BLAH BLAH RELIEF FUND" right away (put President, Prime Minister or any other specific relief funds that assure you that they will do anything for the safety of the victims of the disaster). My take on this is a bit different from what others would do here because I'm a traveler and I know that I can go to a number of places where I can directly help them with food and clothes if not shelter (I can even try to get them the material for them to create camps under which they can take shelter too).

So,
- I'll just buy enough groceries from wholesale markets and hire someone to create 2 types of foods - dry and liquid. I'll then classify them both by getting them packed differently
- I'll go to wholesale clothes markets and buy clothes according to what the victims' situation demands (based on the type of disaster)
- I'll go buy trekking camps' material from wholesale markets so to get as much material as possible
- Now, last but not least I'd just get a helicopter or jet plane on rent (I hope I can easily get one as I won a jackpot here), take all those things with me and then go to the affected places, meet those victims and personally give all these things to them as it'll satisfy my mind that everything reached to them successfully without any third party/ mediator involved.

As you saw, I mentioned that "I'm a traveler", so whatever I'm doing, my helping job consists of too much traveling to so many places to get it done. So, there's no reason why I won't enjoy my jackpot as though I didn't use it for myself, but I'll have the delight that the money was gone towards the right purpose, and I'll take it as if the money came to me to fulfil that same purpose maybe.

Winning a huge amount is very enjoyable and fulfilling but it is more fulfilling if you'll go out and help others in times of disasters. If I'll win the jackpot in time of a big disaster the first thing I'll do is donate portions of my winnings to an organization that helps those victims in the disaster and volunteer to help distribute the relief goods and help reassure the victims that everything will be fine.
Some people may look at it as bragging about my winnings but I'll think of it as something that God has planned to use me as an instrument to help disaster victims by winning the jackpot.

I will share that money with other people because I know that disaster is coming to people outside. That is an emergency situation that happens around us, and if we can help them with that money, then I think they will not be sad, and they can be happy to celebrate the new year. I think I will buy some food, many foods to them just to prepare if I see that some people cannot eat anything because of the disaster. I am sure I can buy many foods for them because the money from the jackpot will be big money.

Anyways, I will gladly help others who are struck by disaster, that's typical of us Filipinos to help each other in times of need, and specially that Christmas is coming, definitely I will extend help to the best of my ability. As the Golden Rule says, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

I hit the jackpot then I will help the poor ones and those who needed help, I mean it's a jackpot so probably a million, I will get a small percentage for my winning and then I will help all of the people that needed it.

It's a disaster, so probably thousands will be affected because of that, What I'm going to do is I will go there by myself, so I can see the money that I am using is going to go to them 100%.
I'm not a fan of donating money so that I will organize my team, and we will go there to help those people, Maybe I will fund my travel there for one week of supplies and help all of them so I can see that my money is doing great.

Winning jackpot is outstanding but, you should always share it because it's just free money! It's fun to share money with the one who needed it. Helping a lot of people with your money will be great.

I saw his work with the What IF, it was brought in terms of bringing something new. I never thought to use "What IF" this way although I've already used these 2 words before, so many times.

Ah, that is something I'd prefer to say like, that's typical of us "HUMANS" to help each other whenever we need each other because I don't believe in racism nor casteism, simple humanity is the only religion I follow. Glad to see that almost all the replies here are suggesting to help the victims instead of enjoying their winnings (and I bet that not all those who posted here are Filipinos). Don't take it personally (or wrongly), but humanity comes first.

That's the right thing to do you have a big money in your hands and some fellow need help it's just right to give to the needy in this time, especially now that holiday is coming, you will feel better and you will be blessed and next time, I know some people who donate a portion of their winnings and they continue to win.

Are you aware to the law of money? It is about give and receive and not receive and give. Even I get broke where I lose money in gambling, I will still give money and food to other people. If you want to get something then you should first give, most of the wealthiest persons in the world are giving first before they receive money. I'll definitely going to donate a good portion of my winnings, this kind of disasters happens to all of us, it can happen to me so I want doing the same for me, it's a good deed, and you want a good vibes for the next round of gambling, I'm sure people here are going to do the same.

Most of the users here choose to share their winnings to those in need and that is what I'm doing too.

I know how to feel other person's feeling so this time instead of soloing my total jackpot, I'd better choose to share my winnings those people in need thru giving relief goods to them. Just in case I win something big, even if a disaster occurs or not, I will never have a second thought to help other people especially those who are in need. Sharing a bit or even half of the jackpot you have won is nothing since it's just a sudden fortune or blessing you have received, and it is always fulfilling to help other people.

Even without winning a jackpot, I always make sure to help other people even not financially and even in small ways. So, I guess I could do more if I hit a jackpot.

i will be truthful in this matter because ever since i was a child my biggest dream is to manage helping more people in need together,i am not a total gambler thats why i cant have a big chance of winning jackpot but if given?i will establish my own orphanage/shelter to feed and take care those in badly needed for free.


about the question?i will tell my wife that we will be spending our holidays with those victims and 3/4 of the winnings will be spend for them together with my family members.

This is an interesting "what if scenario.

We are all aware of the saying " no man is an island right? So, basically if there's a disaster that costs the lives of many people, first thing that comes to your mind is to survive and secure yourself and your family from any harm. Then, I would spend those money to help my family first, then the people around.
Money can do nothing without the people and the society, thus helping your fellow human in the midst of disaster will be the priority (at least for the person who surpassed the extreme greediness, because I have personally witnessed people stealing things from the victim of motorcycle crash and even massive flood in my place, rather than helping the people first.) 
So, I must say "human lives > money"

Split it I'd suppose? I ain't any good samaritan and I also need money but I can spare them a but of my help that's within my capabilities. Ofc, rather than giving money, I'd rather help in leading them resolve the problem. Kinda like a team, and I'd just pretty much foot the expenses that are within reason. This initiative is a lot better than just giving them money imo. Handling the fix for the respective problems that plague them could be a lot helpful anyway. Almost kind of like how quests are made, but I'm the guy issuing the quests with the rewards.

when I get the jackpot I will certainly help people out there, especially if it is our neighbor. because one day we will need them. because life will always need the help of others

I would be a good person and share some of the winnings with the people that were hit by the disaster.If I would not do it I would not enjoy the winnings and probably feel bad about such doing.I am a person that thinks in general for the community after I am good for myself and I am not greedy.

I would defiantly go for the helping people rather than be selfish to enjoy alone while a bunch of people are suffering from a natural disaster.
Spending money on others is more satisfying than spending them on one self.
Also I would be surprised to see anyone who opt for the enjoying option here while submitting their reviews.

I hope everyone have heard this phrase.  If you help others, you will be helped any day when you are in trouble. Keeping this in point of view, i will spend 80% of my winnings to help the people and the remaining i may use if for my personal use or for my family etc.
