I should agree with you but I have my own reason why it is hard to get high profit in the current market condition. I would say, HYPE is ended and many people are leaving crypto market  which leads the price to not really volatile. well said   .  this is crypto trading all about  .  we cant say that trading is difficult because of the massive decline of the price but if we will only look at the bright side we can still buy coins at cheap and then we can just trade them and take profits little by little because the coins can still fluctuate  .  we only need to disregard the mindset of earning large profit because if that is you seek thesedays you will only be dissapointed  . large profit can still come if you have patience of saving your small profits that you get from short term trading  .

even with this major pairs its still difficult when you have no way of forseeing what is coming. there isn't really much left to do right now that just watch the market. i stopped trading for awhile because the market obviously is about to go up when you check the weekly chart but isn't moving that way still. maybe this is really the way it goes because of the bakkt or simply there are just who manipulates the market that will keep small traders stuck to just holding their btc instead.

Well, not really today, but rather just in this season. BTC hasn't really shown any large movements that could provide any chances for traders to actually earn large profits. Pretty much the season could be said to be time for accumulation. Not only BTC, but also altcoins are currently being seen as such. For me what make difficult to do day trading is pick right coin, because since first we forced to look coin that might be can profitable in short amount of time. Honestly until now that kind of thing that i mentioned, i still can't do it good and i prefer on long term hold right now. If you already know about technical analysis, maybe only need more practice and time so you can always pick a good coin to trade.

Actually OP want to have the profit from altcoin trading just like the end of 2017 year which is hard in the current market but not everyone have to think about that time in crypto they also have to think about the time before that in which the price and market was behaving like that and in the time of halving the price got a huge value and all of those who hold their coins got a bigger profit. You do not really give us an idea of how long you have been trading but for the past two years trading altcoins has been a nightmare, obtaining profits in that market is so difficult that even if you were an expert trader your experience may not be that positive, there is not really any tips that we can give you the only way to obtain long term success is to devise a system that works on the long term and then stick to it, it sounds simple in theory but believe me when you try to actually employ that system you will realize how hard it is.

You may not get a "large" profit in one swift action but you could always get a decent couple of profits that are quite small that combined makes a large profit. It is still difficult I know that, even making 20% profit in a whole year is difficult but if you know your times right we are talking about a currency that started the year 3400 dollars which is over 7000 dollars right now. That is 100% profit in one whole year and you can't say doubling your money is not a large profit.

Definitely, day traders are having a hard time but 2019 was an amazing year for the long term traders, if you started the year with bitcoin and didn't sell it (or didn't buy any new) you just made 100% of your investment back in just one year. There is not that many thing in world that can give you this much profit.

The golden years of dumb trading where you could go in at any moment and see 50% gains by the end of the day are surely over, but that doesn't mean trading is over. The market has changed since futures allow people to short and not only that they allow people to short with fiat, without knowing anything about crypto and owning it.

Now it's more difficult because those people are bearish and are trying to make money on their bearishness. If they were bullish they'd buy bitcoin instead of trading futures.

My sincere advice is that you should stop trading the alts now. There are hundreds of "potential" alts but only a few of them are real, such as Matic, Chainlink, ETH, Tezos, Cosmos, Tomo, ... besides, all is garbage and it will soon die when Bitcoin was dumped again. Besides, now the market is bitcoin, its Dominance is now up to 68.6% and shows that not many people are interested in alts anymore and of course no one will pump the price of the alts up. Now you should just trade bitcoin and hold it until the market grows again in 2020, don't try to trade when the market is in downtrend!
