i only have around 14000 hs on randomx  via nicehash, whats the chances i would be better of mining direct to a pool and selling for BTC, is there are any exchanges that are low enough fee's ? since nicehash have stopped the repayment program i have been having doubts about them been in trouble with money. i know mining xmr direct gives m the option of selling if/when the prices goes up

If your holding the coin and want to hold xmr mine xmr direct, if your cashing out nice hash is good.  The amount your mining transferring the coin between exchanges to cash out to fiat will be too expensive.

Much better to hold them not good to mine on nicehash the hashrate is fine but their rates are too low compared on mining XMR directly then hold you can get less fee for transfering coins from XMR compared to Nicehash that converted to BTC.

XMR less fee when transfering BTC fee will depend on the network if more traffic more fees to be able your transaction confirm.

You can also use places like https://miningpoolhub.com/ or other auto exchange type mining services that let you mine in the algorithm of your choice and have it pay out in Bitcoin or other supported coins.

I chose to mine xmr directly or using pool, I don't trust nicehash anymore.
