I think except from winning or to earn profit probably entertainment we cannot deny that it is entertaining most of the time and I think this is only the common porpuses but sometimes I just want to play because I'm bored and also I want to get information about the gambling websites that I'm playing with just for research porpuses and also to review the websites.

In my opinion there are many reasons one gambles and unfortunately these can be shaped by the misfortunate environment we grew up in. For some it may be as simple as gaining some control over the few seconds they play, for some is feeling important and relevant while for some there is pure adrenaline and fun. ^ The words I bolded above was definitely right, I am also like that when I get bored and I want something that can entertain my mind and made me relax after my whole day work. Gambling is the right place for me to enjoy the moment or something there's someone that I gonna wait. Gambling can be also a sort of learnings...it will strengthen in making decision which we would like to have and it has a mental effect. However, such a mental effect will drive also to the worse thing which is an addiction.

For example I play poker with my friends quite regularly and we usually don't play for money. Mostly people play it for money because it makes it more interesting but the fact that you can enjoy playing it even without money proves that gambling games have other purposes beside earning financial gain.

But unfortunately, many people are getting trap in gambling games. The first time they knew gambling is for recreational activity, but in the next days, they came back to play another game, and they found that playing some gambling games is exciting, and that makes them stay to play for longer. When they come back in the next days, they think this time they can win those games, so they are not thinking about gambling is a recreational activity, but they feel that gambling is a way to make money. In the end, their reason for playing gambling games is changing to how to they can make money from gambling.

I support you on this point. Gambling does not have to be about money all the time. Sometimes it is for bonding especially if the gambling game you are playing is played not against other people but against a group of friends. There will be money involved to make the game a bit more interesting and competitive but it is not the main thing really. The more important thing is that you have got to spend some nice bonding moments with your friends.

There's a lot of reasons one could want to.

You can do it professionally, which doesn't necessarily make you rich.
You can enjoy it as a hobby.
In some situations, it's very convenient to gamble, like gambling instead of splitting restaurant bills.
It can be a way to add some real fun/purpose either with or against friends in situations, for example betting on games or disjointed beliefs about outcomes of events.
I also believe that exposure to repeated risk (in healthy amounts) actually improves one's overall outlook in life when they learn to cope with loss better.

Simply said, who gamble to become rich is an idiot, and that idiot will probably stay without money sooner or later. I got into gambling few years back through my network of friends during a party. The blinds were small and everyone was playing for the fun. Soon, me and my friends used to sit everyday, gambling several sessions a day just cos we liked the game and the fun associated with it. So, personally for me the fun and thrill associated with gambling is what gets me going.
